I see that Samsung A70 doesn't have Good Lock support automatically so people have to sideload it manually with some unsupported features, so I wonder if this phone is the same or not?
Or does Good Lock is just for S and Note series?
I downloaded Good Lock from the Galaxy store with no issues....
Good Lock is not available in the Galaxy store in Ukraine on my A71.
It depends on your region.
You can download it in UK
Is it safe (in terms of system stability) to sideload the APK in "unsupported" regions on the A71:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/good-lock-2018/
I would assume not, but I would be interested in hearing a confirmation from someone who's tried it.

You can download nicelock from the play store. It's a launcher for the modules. Then you can sideload the different modules from apkmirror. So far only lockstar isn't working for me. The others I've tried work fine even theme park.

Thanks! I will check it out. Side loading the main APK did not work for me.
It's strange that Samsung would lock this feature purely based on geography.

Anyone know how to get Android native sip working, can't find it in phone settings...
Used an activity launcher but it didn't make any calls...

Not sure if there is a native client, but I know Zoiper works for me.
necroing this here, i just purchased two of these for my kids to play pokemon go. They have FI data only sim cards and typically use my PBX to place calls. The native sip functionality seems to be missing in the settings. I'm considering using a custom rom which will likely resolve the issue, but I've heard of issues with custom roms and pokemon go so I was trying to avoid this route.
Any input regarding the native sip functionality or specific roms for this phone that work fine with pokemon go AND have working native sip would be appreciated. if your reply is about using a third party app, i'm well aware that they work and such comments are not helpful. thanks.

awesome, looking forward to your results. I briefly checked play store for the google dialer, but didn't see it. I considered loading gapps but i couldn't remember if the google dialer was included in any of them.

It would be listed as Google phone, not dialer , for some reason. It is in the open gapps package. And there are ways to add the needed framework and just the dialer if wanted.

i am pretty certain that the open gapps install script automaticly disables or removes the old version of apps that it installs., so dont think you need to use the de-bloat beforehand.
Now Im gonna try to install the gapps too to see how it goes.

Gapps installed fine. Took awhile to start after. Needed to "optimize" 47 apps.
It has google phone. But I do not know where or how to set up "sip" of "voip" on this dialer (or any for that matter)
EDIT:
google just showed me this. Dont know if it works for sure but , here it is.

I followed the diretions in that link, but I do not have the "sip account" setting available.

Great! thanks for running through this! If you're interested in testing sip functionality, PM me and i'll make you a sip account on my PBX. It's US Nationwide calling and Canada.
I'm assuming arm is the appropriate architecture, being that it's an arm cortex a53. I looked through each edition of gapps and I didnt see anything that included google phone. Should i assume it's simply built into any version of Nano and above?

I re-read my post. It was not clear.
I do not have the menu for sip account. So something is missing from phone app.
It is version 10. XXXX
on my other phone(blu life max) running slim-rom and open gapps. The phone app is version 9.XXXX and it has the sip menu
I will try to find the gapps I installed on that phone and see if it is v9 vs v10 that is the problem of missing menu first.
If I get the sip-menu then I can follow up with trying your pbx if you want.

Still same missing sip menu using older gapps with v9.XXX dialer. Must be some stock rom interference with the settings. If camera is not a problem for you then the cm13 port might be an option. OR . The zen rom port has working camera, and has not had too many reviews. I will try to add gapps to that one and see if it has sip menu.
It's not a huge deal, I'll just run csipsimple for now. The kids use the camera for catching Pokemon...
Offer for sip service if you want to play still stands regardless, just hit me up. I appreciate your help!

the zen-ui rom has finished and it does not have sip-menu. Installed the gapps on it and still missing the menu.
The slim-rom I have on my "life max" is same rom used to port to r1. So my last attempt is to flash that rom and see.
But my port is not fully working. Audio drops out and camera stops working. But if the sip menu (voip) is there, then it is a rom problem. But if the menu is still missing, that tells me it has to be a kernel problem. All the roms have same kernel.
UPDATE:
yes the sip-menu is shown with the slim-rom port.
so this would be the 'native" option.
I have not spent time working on the rom in a while. I was hopeing for community help to finish. But that has not happened.
My current position with the rom is, I beleive the main issue remaining is the audio/ media server stops and rom needs reboot. This server stop is seen in the logcat. But i do not know why yet. And after it stops the camera server becomes unstable, then it stops.
I have seen , but not tried yet. An app in playstore that is meant for addressing the problem of camera server stopping. It is supposd to be able to restart it with out restarting whole phone.
Im planning to keep slim-rom on for few days or more and explore this app as possible work-a-round
Uninstalling the stock phone app and trying to install Google Phone from apkmirror did NOT work. Don't try it; I was only able to restore a working phone app by restoring /system. Maybe something in build.prop is disabling this? I might look around and see if this is a possibility; CSipSimple works perfectly though if people need sip support, as others have said.

I took on trying to fix my lineage and slim ports because of this sip phone question.
I now have a solution for sip phone on stock rom.
It is same solution from before that did not work, I found so reason it did not work. Blu had intentionaly removed the permission to sip and voip.
so if still interested in getting sip without third party apps. Here is a recovery install zip, that adds the google dialer framework, apk, and needed /etc/permissions
there is warning in the gapps install about adding google dialer that is also relivent here. Default phone app must be set to this goole dialer and also recomend disable stock dialer.
Wow, you rock man! Thanks for your efforts on this!!

You can spoof some other device name (need to be rooted)... my tab2 (p5100) is working as a phone (i think there is also an app to to the same).. use build.prop editor and than reboot... simple
Good luck.

I side-loaded Android Auto onto My Samsung Tab S7, but it will not run. I'd like to use the tablet rather than my small phone as my AA display in the car. I've tried a couple of the other Auto-focused launchers, but prefer AA. Anyone doing this, is there a simple fix/work around?
The earlier posts suggest it is possible, I guess I'm looking for a bit of hand-holding on what I have to do to get it to work.
Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, just picked up a realme X2 pro. I noticed some devices have Google assistant and all that built in. I had my device sent from China but I had to add the play store and all that. I have a breeno Assistant built in instead. Also when I swipe down to search it's in Chinese still but the phone was set up on English. Some models have a app drawer and I do not. I can't even install a different launcher on the phone. Any tips or what I need to do?

Like Google messaging when I set to default it automatically goes back to the original one. Other users have said they have Google assistant built into the phone but I have something called breeno

Seen somewhere on the web that you can install the European rom over the Chinese one. Maby you could try that. Dont know how that works on realme phones since i have not gotten my hand on one yet. Ill be getting the European version that has everything installed by default.

I'd love to know where you heard this, as they don't even list the EU rom for download yet and people seemed to have issues doing the same with the X2.

Hey guys,
I'm thinking of getting Poco X3 however I feel in love with Google Recorder app on my Pixel 2 and as a student, it's hard to live without all the audio AI transcription magic. I know previously Google Recorder transcript option didn't work on MIUI 11 devices. Does it work with Poco's MIUI 12?
Much appreciated if somebody can confirm it.
Best regards,
I'm on MIUI global 12.0.2

Thanks @bacitoto. Good to know. Have you tried the newest version of the apk? I've seen that some older, unofficial versions are are more likely to work on non-Pixel devices such as version 0.5.257343194 (gosh, what a version number).

Transcribe also doesn't work.
I'll try and find a working version, because this is actually a really cool app/feature. If not we'll need to wait for custom roms
Yeah, it's magically the way it works. I mean, anything that you listen to: complicated lecture, zoom meeting at work etc becomes instantly transcribed and searchable. This app is pure gold. Especially now with the endless Zoom calls. Instead of having to take notes and later reviewing recordings u really can get all the info u want right away. The app works very well even with people speaking with heavy accents etc
This article explains the issue with MIUI:
"Android software without significant modifications to the TextView component in the Android framework. It seems that the Google Recorder app fails to work properly on certain devices because those devices are running software with modifications to TextView."

It works flawlessly with RR Rom

The phone will not die, but you will have problems with the software, such as not recognizing the camera after taking a picture, the flashlight does not work, you can not change the Hz of the screen ...
This happened with Xiaomi.eu a long time ago, since they use the base ROM for spesn (the NFC variant) and had not made the necessary modifications to work in spes (the non-NFC variant).
I did it. And nothing bad will happen. What NeoSDAP says about the camera is bullsh*t, the camera works fine.
Look out the thread I created about the process and the result:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/is-it-safe-to-flash-indonesian-rom-over-a-global-rom.4534777/
Don't install the version with Android 12, I tried it some time ago it's messed up: weird default configurations and options missed. I saw there's an update for it, that probably fixed that but still, do it under your own risk.
I'm still using the lastest Indonesian ROM with Android 11. Except for the fact that apps like Netflix can't be downloaded from the Play Store because of the lack of Play Protect certification, everything else works like a charm. For apps you can't download from the Play Store like Netflix, you can download them from sites like APKPure and they work, so it's not really a problem either.
Good luck.

It also has the Mi Calendar app instead of Google's and the Mi Browser (besides Chrome). It also has the "App Vault" option for the left screen (-1 says the Launcher), not only Google Discover like the Global ROM. And the best thing about it for me it's that it's an official ROM. It's not a custom ROM that who knows what the hell was modified in it. I've using it for months and everything works fine.

NFC is hardware dependent. If your phone doesn't have the required hardware, NFC won't work. This is similar to FM radio.
I wouldn't suggest flashing ROM for another region on your phone, especially if your bootloader is locked. If you unlock your bootloader, it will give you a lot of flexibility and ability to troubleshoot problems.
