My XT1608 stopped detecting SIM cards all of a sudden. The same SIM cards (cropped and official) are working with other devices. It was running the latest build of Lineage OS but reverting back to stock Marshmallow doesn't solve anything.

Check your IMEI..may be it get deleted..
I've tried both the Lineage OS and Nitrogen OS 8.1.0 ROMs for the phone and I get constant crashes. Damn thing is in my pocket and it just restarts. Most frustratingly however is the fact that 9 times outta 10 it crashes during a call.
Any idea on what could be causing this? I see others on the forums happily using these ROMs, so I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong.
Did you wipe everything before flashing? As a precaution wipe internal storage as well.

Tried that and it was a little more stable thanks. Enough so for me to figure out it only happens when the SIM card is in

Try removing the SIM card, then flashing and booting the ROM? I think I've seen this SIM card issue on the lineage OS forums. Just go to the lineage OS 15.1 thread and search for "SIM card" or something and see.
Hi
I had boot problems with oreo roms. Once I removed SIM card & SD card after flash and before boot, no more problem !
I have a P8 Lite (ALE-21) which is German Telekom branded. At the moment there's stock ROM with version ALE-L21C150B595 installed
The bootloader is unlocked, TWRP is installed and is working fine.
Now, whenever I flash a custom ROM, I can't access my SIM any longer.
Tried to flash LineageOS, ViperOS, etc. directly over my Stock ROM. It boots up and everything seems to work - except the SIM card. The slot isn't recognized, can't find the inserted SIM card.
For another try I first flashed the B895 on the phone. It booted and everything was working. SIM card was found, no problems at all.
Then I tried to flash LOS, Viper, etc. over this version. As before, it boots up and all seems to work fine - except the SIM card. Wouldn't be recognized, again.
I also tried to backup the working "3rd Modem" on Stock ROM and B895 via TWRP and the restore it over the Custom ROM. But still no luck.
Tried to flash now every possible combinations for a zillion times, but I can't get it to work with detecting the SIM.
What else could I try or what am I missing?
Really no one has an answer for this problem?

Try CLEAN FLASH B896 or 898 and than CLEAN FLASH whatever custom rom you want. Be sure to use latest twrp. Or just use persona's mod, because its the best for this phone m
I'm just having a lot of problems withmy xperia xZ3 (H9394). In Monday, I updated google services and after that, the phone didn't connect to wifi or mobile data. I make a factory reset but it didn't work. I assumed the problem came from that update and everything will be fixed if I downgraded firmware. I tried first with sony emma flashtool, but I needed the bootload of my device to be unlocked. I unlocked it (yes, I screwed it) but emma said "no available services matched", so I tried it with newflasher and downgraded firmware, but it stayed in bootloop. So, I return to original firmware (52.1.A.3.92-R4C). It boot normally, but I have the same issues with wifi and mobile data, sometimes it works, but connects and disconnects constantly.
Someone can say me what can I do? I know that I can't relock bootloader.
@MartinX3 I know that you are a master, colud you help me?
Thanks! <3
I would look if that problem is the same on a custom ROM. (But flash on both slots and boot the latest stock first until you reach the desktop)
Or if it only happens with a specific WiFi, maybe the router need updates or a fix.

Thanks for reply.
What did you mean with flash both slots?
I have tried it with rom H9493_Customized CN_52.1.A.3.92-R14C, wifi and mobile data works. The problem now are the google services. I think it's a firmware problem...

Hello. I flashed again with 52.1.A.3.92-R4C custom Taiwan downloaded from xperifirm and it work for a time. First, I didn't have any issue with wifi and had 4G signal, but after hours, the problems came again and lost mobile and wifi signals. At that moment, I couldn't even activate wifi, when I turned it on it turned off immediately. For some reason, I activated airplane mode and turn on wifi and it worked, but when I turn off airplane mode, lost wifi signal. It's very strange. I think it's some problem with mobile data or something.
I will flash A/B slots. For that, I need the GSI and ASOP (Android 10.0 – Kernel 4.14 – Tama) img and I must do it with platform-tool, right? I don't need a firmware in tft?
Thanks.

For the custom ROMs you need to have the latest firmware on both slots and booted once until you reach your apps.
Then just follow the instructions of the XDA threads and don't forget a fullwipe.

Hello again. I downloaded Android 10 GSI from https://developer.android.com/topic/generic-system-image/releases and AOSP 10 for XZ3 from https://developer.sony.com/file/download/software-binaries-for-aosp-android-10-0-kernel-4-14-tama/. I used the latest platform tools. I flashed oem_a, oem_b, system_a and system_b. After that, I did a wipe with fastboot -w command and finally reboot my device.
I checked that everything worked fine. Wifi and both sims worked fine.
After that I flashed the firmware H9493_Customized TW_52.1.A.3.92-R4C with newflasher and wiped it again. Did I do everything correctly?
Thanks.
If anyone wonders, no. It didn't work. I tried with custom roms and it was the same
I tried everything. I tried installing LineageOs, pixelsperience, Sony AOSP 10, 11, gsi 10, 11, and stock roms and nothing. Sims are detected some time, but stop after a while. i put an sd card instead of a sim card and it was not detected. I assume it is a hardware problem.
Well, thanks for helping
I'm having this exact same problem on my XZ3, thought I was going crazy but makes me think it's maybe not hardware related to find someone else with the problem...
I have a Le Eco Le2(x526) which is the Indian variant 3GB/32GB codename-s2

It was my fault I didn't take any backup of the stock ROM and its files
Later I clean flashed its stock ROM thinking it would work but it didn't I later checked in TWRP there were no network files all the defaults files were not there
it recognizes sim but shows no network(sim is active and working perfectly on other devices)
this device has been with me for 5 years still works like a beast only problem is it doesn't show network
I need to fix it PLEASE HELP
