help me please. Phone RED MAGIC 3
I tried to install the custom ROM and my phone ended up corrupting the partition. I can't start in recovery mode, it is on that screen where you have the options: Restart, restart in recovery mode, restart in emergency recovery mode, Shut down. I downloaded the Chinese ROM, but in ZIP format. It has a lot of files, with boot.img and others in .img format, it also has the META-INF folder. How can I flash this ZIP to install the ROM? thanks
It looks like you did that without knowing enough about the procedure. The are a lot of guides explaining how to do it in the Red Magic 3 thread. Take a see about a solution.
Now, your problem is that you flashed the zip in the recovery without unlocking bootloader first. You must boot into the bootloader (the menu where you see that options to boot) and use the next fastboot commands (I won't explain about adb and fastboot. You have to download it and install them before use it. Look any guide on XDA):
Code:
fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX629J
At this step, you unlocked the bootloader temporally to flash any .IMG file
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
You should see an advirtise screen that tells you about that your data is going to be fully wiped. Accept it and then you should be able to boot into the system and even into the recovery. To return to the global rom, simply flash the global rom (EU or NA) again. Don't lock the bootloader again or your phone will show you the same corruption screen. To flash the roms you don't have to uncompress the zip files you downloaded.
I hope that could be useful for you. Regards.

Good Morning!
Thank you very much for the answers. I did all of these procedures via FASTBOOT, but I forgot to unlock the OEM, for this reason it corrupted. After it's corrupted, I do the OEM unlock procedure, however, when the file is ZIP (where it contains the startup items, META-INF) an error appears: file does not exist android.info.txt. This ZIP is for flashing via the system's internal memory, not via FLASHBOOT. As I cannot recover the recovery mode, I cannot update this ROM.zip. Is there another way to flash this zip? Sorry for the typo, I'm using google translator.

There is no much more options. There is only a way to flash the chinese rom for the phone and it's flashing the zip you downloaded in the recovery. If the message of "corrupted device" stills appearing before enter the flashing unlock fastboot command I recommend you to use he recovery tool that you could find in various of the threads about the Red Magic 3, but you should be able to boot the rom before the flashing unlock, I told you this because it happened to me in the same way.
If you are trying to flash the files of the different partitions in .img format, I have to tell that it's a little complicated because the zip doesn't contains a system.img, so you will halve to loose your data once to recover the phone...
Easy fix. Use the red magic 3 unbrick too. https://forum.xda-developers.com/red-magic-3/how-to/tool-nubia-red-magic-3-unbirck-tool-t3965044
Just follow the instructions in the tool zip.

My phone is almost bricked
I was trying to install sevenrov v3.2 while i was on v3.1 and i ****ed up everything while doing a fullwipe
Right now there is only fastboot&rescuemode available
twrp is not working, because it does no read the digitizer(i cannot press anything)
i can install cwm but should i ?
I believe that is best to flash images through fastboot.
But what images should i flash?
Where to find them?
How should i flash them?

Oh dear! You are in a mess. All I can suggest is that you flash the stock recovery and then install a stock ROM for your phone using the force update (dload) method that has been described in other threads. Then you can return to a custom ROM of your choice. As far as I know CWM for this phone is only in Chinese so it may be of little value unless you understand the language.

cwm has english also but it has no use for me
Only fastboot works
dload method does not complete, the blue progress bar goes up to to 85% and stays there forever...
I am looking for a mathod to create a flashable zip for fastboot
to use fastboot flash filename.zip command
or flash each partition seperatly , i tried the method with huawei extractor
extracted the images system,root,boot,cache,cust,userdata
flashed each one on their partitions
but without success

Why you do not flash twrp recovery in fastboot mode and then install a flashable ZIP?
Edit:
In this thread, are the same probs:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56634210
Short: install recovery and try to flash a rom again.
I See your post in this thraed that this not work for you but i think you have to try it again. In fastboot mode you can flash recovery and cust. Its that working?
Can you explain step by step what are you doing?

First of all thank you,
Right now my phone is in a bootloop(not more than 6 sec duration, with short vibration)
3 buttons , power button tricks and combos don't seem to work
The only way to exit the bootloop is by sending the fastbbot reboot recovery command and wait for some loops while you are doing the vol+vol-power combo
Then the phone enters fastboot rescue mode
I get reply when sending the fastboot devices command,
And the phone has unlocked bootloader (OEM command)
I can flash images extracted from the official 135 ROM
I tried cust boot user data system cache recovey , and the are all flashed correctly
But I can't get into recovery mode aftethe reboot (yes I am doing the 3 buttons trick)
I tried different SD cards with different update.app each time, from b135 official and sevenrom3 (yes I put them in /dload folder)
I even tried flashing cwm and twrv recovery images in the recovery partition, but I got in a bootloop after the reboot again
So I am asking if there is anyway to flash the partitions correctly from fastboot or maybe send a kernel image with some offset and run it with the fastboot command
Of course adb does not work, not responding
Maybe reparation the storage?
I don't know
And I am desperare...

Okay...
your system is so messy. we must bring fully to factory condition first time.
Plesse try to flash stock recovery img. (In your post you write only that you have tryed twrp/cwm).
And then try update in recovery.
I not think your phone is broken. You can try my tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/asc...eandadjust-t2941186/post56774286#post56774286). There is a stock recovery img in it. In your case you have to flash cust img to.

Thank you but I already did flash the official recovery image, both extracted from a factory update.app and your recovery.IMG also... None of them worked.... Iam still in the same bootloop.
I am starting to believe that the partitions have been ****ed up.
Any way to repartition?
Also is there a procedure to create a flashable zip with huawei software extractor? I edited the accompaning XML to add the p7 device on the list (copy data from p6 and changed the name) created the zip but fastboot doesn't flash the zip because its missing 2 XML files which I can't remember their name.
And at this point I would like to give my 2 cents of advice to everyone who might listen,
Before you flash anything from a microsd, first verify the card with h2testw, and always use high quality microsd and never ever stop a flashing procedure by any means. . i would like to make it more extreme and advise to use a software with copy verification (like richcopy) when you copy files that are going to be flashed.
I tend to believe that a faulty microsd is the cause of my problems... Even though I checked the microsd afterwards and didn't got any errors.
I would advise the ROM creators to append this on their posts!
Hi, I've just got my MI 5 and it is very, very nice. But I am now starting to look further into it and I am confused by all the different ROMs....
The one I have came with MIUI Global 7.3 | Stable MI7.3.3.0.0(MAACNDD). First confusion is that I can't find any references to a ROM by that number anywhere - it has double 0 at the end MI7.3.3.0.0. Is it a real ROM?
More generally I can't work out which ROM would be best for a user in the UK? Without rooting that is so CM is out for the moment.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, thanks.
It may be fake rom. If you want to use MIUI better flash xiaomi.eu ROM: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/6-6-23.32335/ but it will need unlocked bootloader.
Without unlocking bootloader you can flash official global using MiFlash: http://en.miui.com/download-299.html
Thanks! I have applied to unlock the bootloader and will flash the unofficial ROM ASAP. Well, I will do some more reading to see which is most appropriate to me.

Not done it yet.
I need to flash the China Dev ROM first apparently. I think I will use this method to flash to a "recovery" (?) ROM from which I can then flash the China Dev ROM and then subsequently flash one of the unofficial eu miui ROMs.
I'll update when I have found the time to do all these things.
Hey, I can tell that you'll have an easier time if you do what I did:
Apply for bootloader unlock. Do the unlock (follow the guide here to be sure) It should work on any ROM, mine was China 7.3.2.0.
Back up any images, videos etc. to your PC.
Download a ROM zip of your choice (xiaomi eu in your case but any compatible ROM on this forum or on miui forum will do)
Get the Xiaomi eu TWRP zip from their page. Extract the recovery img file, and the boot img file.
You could also get SuperSU zip from their page if you want root.
Do you have adb and fastboot? If not, just get "minimal adb and fastboot" from the forum here for Windows, or if you're on Linux your package manager probably has them both listed.
Put your phone into fastboot. (Switch off, press volume down and power button until it boots to a screen saying fastboot.) Then connect to your PC.
Open your command prompt from the "run" dialogue: cmd
Use this command: (double check this by googling)
fastboot flash recovery (path to recovery img)
Since you plan to flash xiaomi eu ( you don't need this for a CM based ROM):
fastboot flash boot (path to boot img)
Now to go into the recovery:
fastboot boot recovery (path to recovery img)
There is probably an easier way to do this but I'm not sure of it yet.
Your phone will boot into TWRP. You might face the unresponsive touchscreen bug (I did) but it goes away after some time (or you could plug unplug it from the PC multiple times, seemed to work for someone else on the forums).
If it asks you for the encryption password (it asked me, and I was on a Chinese ROM so it might ask you) then you'll have to wipe the data partition under the wipe menu (it's named as internal storage). This is why the backup was needed.
Under the wipe menu, you'll need to do a factory reset, but I wiped everything just to be safe. Now, just after wiping when I tried to access the internal storage from twrp (Under advanced > file manager) it didn't show me anything (probably because I wiped the internal storage). So just reboot into twrp (reboot > recovery) and it should show the internal storage now.
Open the internal storage on your PC (still connected, right?) and put the xiaomi eu ROM in the internal storage. Then go to install menu in TWRP and select the ROM and flash it. After it's done, it'll offer to wipe cache and dalvik cache. Do it to be safe.
Flash the SuperSU zip if you want it.
Reboot to system.
Profit.
Disclaimer: I haven't flashed xiaomi eu ROM so I cannot guarantee that the steps are perfect. Normally, I would just point you to xiaomi eu's website, but the reason I wrote in such detail is because they say "Install TWRP zip via updater app or fastboot", which is stupid, because not even OFFICIAL xiaomi ROMs work with the updater app (I tried to install global stable and it said couldn't verify package what even), and fastboot mode doesn't allow flashing zips... so. Also, I've read that xiaomi eu comes with Google apps preinstalled, so that's good. Otherwise you need to download even that zip and flash just after flashing the ROM.

Thanks Andy, that is a really useful reply and I will definitely use to flash my next ROM.
In the meantime I managed to update to the latest official global ROM using the updater! I tried initially to Chinese Dev one put I got the same "can't verify package" error message. I had downloaded it on my PC and transferred it manually to the phone. I then downloaded the global version directly to the phone and that worked.
So now I need to figure out if i need to be on the Chinese dev rom to unlock or if the official global rom will do?
Unlocking can be done on any ROM. I unlocked on Chinese stable. It's good that you could flash the global ROM, at least the sense of urgency to get Google play services is gone now.
Hello, sorry advanced my English is not good I have a problem with my L-10 ... its brick .. I don't have access recovery and I have wiped the room . thanks you . (I am french).
Enter fastboot mode by holding "Volume down" & " Power" buttons while your cable is connected to the computer.
Make sure that the USB drivers for P7 L-10 are installed by installing HiSuite from official Huawei website.
Now download ADB and fastboot here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24521665358595410
Now you'll need 2 more things - Official P7-L10 ROM & Huawei update extractor which you can download here http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3262545
Once you have all of those we can start the fun with the command line
Once you're in fastboot mode you'll have either green LOCKED screen or red UNLOCKED screen. You need to have a red screen in order to send commands to your phone from fastboot.
Open ADB & Fastboot and type "fastboot devices" (without quotes, always without quotes) - this will tell you if your device is properly detected, if it is, you'll see bunch of numbers and letters.
Now you'll need to extract a couple of .IMG files from your official ROM. This is how you do it. Your official ROM has 1 single file that's called UPDATE.APP. Open Huawei Update Extractor and open UPDATE.APP in it.
You should see a whole list with different .IMG files. You'll need to extract only a couple. BOOT.IMG - RECOVERY.IMG - CUST.IMG - SYSTEM.IMG
Now that you've extracted them all you'll need to start flashing them 1 by 1. This is how we do it
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.IMG
fastboot flash boot BOOT.IMG
fastboot flash cust CUST.IMG
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.IMG
You can drag and drop the IMG file into fastboot for your conveniance.
Now you need to place the actual ROM in the root of your SDcard.
On your SDcard make a folder called dload and put UPDATE.APP in it.
Now force update by turning off your phone and then power it back on while holding all 3 buttons pressed in. When screen comes on release Power button, but keep holding the other 2 buttons down.
Now your recovery should start wiping and installing the ROM and you should be saved
Let me know if you need more help

I flashed all the images you named, and after that I can't enter in recovery. Tried flashing twrp, still can't enter. Tried with power + vol+, nothing, tried with stock power + vol+vol-, still nothing. And access bootloader I can only with usb connected. Tried from another update.app, same result. Phone unlocked.

Just yesterday i bricked my phone too and i've spend 18 hours unbricking it, until i realised that the version of TWRP is directly related to the version of EMUI that's on your phone. As i was trying to install the old B126 with EMUI 2.3 i had to use TWRP 2.8.1.0. Once i installed it, i was able to enter into recovery and erase all data in orded to start over. Maybe you have the same problem.
EMUI 2.3 - TWRP 2.8.1.0
EMUI 3.0 - TWRP 2.8.7.0
EMUI 3.1 - TWRP 3.0.0.0
Try using TWRP that matches your EMUI version and let me know if it works for you

Well, somehow after posting I got working TWRP and got back to X-Rom, because for some reason, I can't install other custom ROM's, because of infinite bootloop. So I wanted to get back to stock firmware. So I tried all you steps and got bricked. For some reason, when I tried to install stock rom I got, "verifying install package" and after few seconds "FAIL". So I kinda stuck to one ROM

I finnaly did it, week ago. I downloaded stock rom (don't remember which, but recovery started working). Then I just "forced update" with latest full rom. and now I have B852. :fingers-crossed:
My main problem was that stock recovery would not work, but I managed somehow to get it done and after that point it was all nice and clean. Thanks for helping out!

That's great news, I'm glad I could help. I'm rocking B852 too with TWRP 3.0.0.0 like a boss :highfive:
is there any reason why flashing twrps via ADB would send z5 pro gt into boot loop into bootloader unable to access the custom recovry or phone needing to do emergency flashing via qfil to stock firmware i did previously use trwps on device to flash files and to sign boot to always boot twrps recovery when trying to access recovery mode . (before bootlooping)
affter bootlooping and fixing via qfil i have been unable to successful install trwps if i do it bootloop to bootloader.
whats the difference between "meta" / "flat" options in qfil
tried locked and unlocked bootloader on both 10.5.304 and 11.1.021 also tried to go straight to recovery mode affter twrps flashing on both firmware same thing lead me bootloop needing to qfill to 10.5.30
another question can i qfil flash to 11.1.021 straight away without having having to qfil 10.5.30 then ota updating to 11.1.021..

is there any reason why flashing twrps via ADB would send z5 pro gt into boot loop into bootloader unable to access the custom recovry or phone needing to do emergency flashing via qfil to stock firmware i did previously use trwps on device to flash files and to sign boot to always boot twrps recovery when trying to access recovery mode . (before bootlooping)

if you want OTA(over the air) updates you need to lock bootloader. otherwise the updater will say something like phone has been rooted and they cant provide you an update

>> Crash dump loop of 113 ROM burnt Z5PROGT can be restored by burning CNROM for the time being,
Even if I tried it again, it was useless, so if I look at the syntax at the time of batch execution, it seems that vbmeta.img is not burned.
It says unrecognised option `--disable-verification '.
This time, the boot loader loop only started, and TWRP couldn't start.
This time it may be packed

I'm sorry I want to confirm.
Where did you use the fastboot command?
①fastboot --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
②fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
It is ① that I instructed, but it looks like there are two kinds when I check it on the net.
He seemed to have hit it without knowing it.
Excuse me, can you hit both again?

>> I burned 113 ZUI11 version Gro ROM.
I re-added TWRP, but when I started it, it was usable normally, so I could add Magisk,
After that, it only seems to be unavoidable that it only starts up in normal recovery mode.
It is troublesome to do it every time you want to use TWRP, but it can't be helped.

this helped Solved
My phone keeps getting stuck on fastboot mode.
I'll flash the standard MIUI ROM using the MiFlash Tool, then I flash a custom recovery and a custom ROM(EvolutionX in this case), everything works and I can set up my phone, but as soon as I reboot I can no longer boot into android or recovery. i've tried flashing multiple recoveries using fastboot and straight up booting a recovery using "fastboot boot recovery.img" but it still always go to fastboot. The only solution is to start the process all over again, and obviously that's just not an option since I can never turn my phone off after that.
Any tips?
I think I got it solved, at least I got it to reboot into Android and TWRP.
I used this guide, but I'll write the steps I took here in case you're having the same issue. I wound up using xiaomi.eu MIUI rom, but it shouldn't matter what you use, I'll assume you're stuck in fastboot.
Do "fastboot flash vendor vendor.img", you get this vendor.img from the fastboot version of the official MIUI ROM, after you decompress the .tar.gz it should be in the "images" folder
Do "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" then "fastboot boot twrp.img", this should flash twrp as your recovery and then boot into it, for some reason it only worked with the official twrp, not orange fox.
Assuming you got into TWRP you should now flash the latest firmware(I got mine from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com) make sure you download just the firmware not the entire rom, mine was named something like fw_raphael_miui... .zip
Format data (not wipe, format, it's a separate option in TWRP), it should ask you to type yes, so do that.
Flash whatever ROM you want
Hopefully this helps you, I hate finding forum posts marked "solved" but with no instructions. I also tried the "vbmeta_dv_shivsom.img" method some threads mentioned but it didn't work
Here's a pastebin of the guide I used in case the original link goes down
You can get all the files I mentioned from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com and the official TWRP site
Out of all that, the one instruction that solves it is the format data step. This is the magic step required. You always need to do this when flashing over MIUI.
Flashing vendor was totally irrelevant.
This will tell you what you need to do.

Thanks a lot man! I'm having this issue and it is beyond annoying. I've lost so much time with this BS.
Edit: Does not help actually
I just had the same problem with my Lamentablet.
I was trying stuff up and restarted it in fastboot mode and got stuck there.
So, ways to deal with it:
adb reboot recovery
rebooted the tablet in recovery mode. All I had then was to press the power button to activate Reboot. Solved! From now on it boots normally.
Meanwhile I had discovered that by typing
fasboot continue
the tablet would resume, but at the next reboot cycle, power down + up cycle or reboot after a crash, the tablet would reboot into fastboot mode...
And I found this out when it crashed (it's not called a Lamentablet for nothing!).
Luckily I had a PC with Linux around. It didn't have the software installed but drivers were already in the Kernel and installing adb and fastboot was a matter of mere seconds. If I didn't have an easily ready PC at hand, this tablet would have become a brick until plugged in and rebooted...
OMG Thanks dude.... I'm literally working to installing custom rom on redmi 7a from stock rom but I don't know what reason that make my phone always stuck on fastboot when format data, before this was fine.
