Confusing galaxy note 5!

I bought a second hand galaxy note 5, on the back cover of the phone the model is written SM-N920C but in download mode is written SM-N920d ! Nevertheless when I check the model at "setting/about the device" the model was SM-N920I
The problem started when my note 5 was flashed with venom rom then I accidentally formated all system files so the phone stuck in Android logo, I tried to flash the phone using Odin and SM-N920c but Odin said FAILED just when I click start. Now the phone is off for the battery is dead and it couldn't be charged , please help me to find the right flash and is there any way to flash it without download mood?
Use Kies and do an emergency recovery. It'll also be able to determine the actual model number. You probably didn't update the bootloader when usong Venom or something. Usually you want to update to the official marahmallow and then flash after that.

Thanks for your comment, I did that already but kies does not support emergency recovery for Note 5 SM-N920c!
I've used it once on my 920c when I initially messed something up. You may need to invoke download mode. Turn the phone off and hold home, volume down and power.
Oh, and there's a modern version of kies which works for modern Samsung phones only.
Did you install a custom recovery immediately after rooting? Always do this first.

N920d or N9200?
In your case, I would go with what is mentioned in the download mode since the back glass can be replaced with another model and ROM flashing can alter model # sometimes.
PS: you need to be sure that it was an original Note 5, not just a copy. I'd recommend taking it to the nearest service center to have it checked out.

Because that firmware does not exist.
It's either 920C or 920CD (for dual-sim) or 9200 for Chinese models.
The first two will have similar firmwares but the 9200 uses different one.
Have you verified exactly which model it is? What does Kies mention when you connect?

As per my search on google, the n920D is Docomo variant.
I haven't been able to find the stock firmware anywhere as of yet.
Flash a custom recovery for your variant (TWRP>others) and then flash a custome ROM that is compatible with 920D.
There must be some on XDA itself.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate your great efforts my friend. The problem still the same, no stock firmware for N920D

OEM Toggle is shown but can't be toggled; phone unable to go into download mode.

Hello XDA, I hope that you could help me troubleshoot my Note 8 (N950F).
So it's been 7 days and oem unlock toggle has finally appeared.. The only issue is it is greyed out and unselectable.
When I got this device I wasn't able to see developer options by pressing build number (though I got the notification that it was enabled), I was only able to access the setting by downloading an app short cut for it via the play store and on initial launch it said developer options are disabled. But then second launch it worked. Idk if this is significant but maybe the country this is meant for disabled it? Regardless of the sim card being in/out the phone, it is still greyed out. Also, I was able to factory reset the phone through the settings after downloading an OTA (I did this in hopes of developer options being enabled about a week ago.)
I tried to boot into download mode but it seems I can't boot into it (following the steps only lead to a normal reboot, and when I select that option from the stock recovery or through adb, it only boots the phone up normally. I purchased the phone off of swappa, in brand new/like new condition. Any ideas? Thank you for your help.
Edit: added screenshots.
SM-N950F / DS here running Taiwan software BRI and I have the option maybe if you flash this firmware you'll get it.

Exactly. That's why I'm so concerned.
Have you logout your Samsung Account and Google account?sorry for my poor English.:crying:
Do you use any of the KNOX stuff? Did you do any factory reset?
Can you "clear data" on "settings" app? this would make the "developer option" menu hidden again. Then re-show it by tapping build number numerous time again. Hoping that OEM is now editable.
Hi, could you solve this problem? My Note 8 has the same problem and I have not found any solution :llorando:.
I would appreciate it if you can help me.

Just return it, it must be stolen device.
Do you really trust seller?
Do a factory reset via computer with the Sony Companion software it will get it out of the retail demo mode
Let's see if this helps, go to settings then system select developer options if u have enabled it. Select system UI demo mode and then switch off enable demo mode. Hope this helps.

@ufo56
Flash your phone using flashtools (find the matching firmware to your region.... after you flash your phone (if the annoying demo still there)
use this code *#*#73556673#*#* and it will be permanently deactivated, and your phone can charge to 100% when it's turned on The code should be typed in phone dialer
Let me know if it worked for you! GOOD LUCK!

Galaxy S10 Live demo unit help

Hi all,
I've got a galaxy s10 live demo unit from my friend ( He has a cellphone shop which is now closed ). I tried to flash stock firmware (with all the files AP,BL,CSC,CP) using odin. Once the flashing is finished (odin said PASS!!, the phone reboot and stuck on samsung dim dim logo for hours and doesn't wanna boot into the system. I've tried several stock firmwares and everything still the same. I tried all the solutions (factory reset, wipe cache) but doesnt help. Can anyone please let me know how to make the phone works like normal ? Do I have to do anything with the firmware before flashing?
Regards
Did you flash the rom for your specific model?
Also, I do have to wonder about those circumstances - especially given how new the S10 is..... Your friend just "happened" to close his shop right after getting live demo units and Samsung didn't want them back...... ?
You at least have a nice paperweight.
i have tried to flash serveral g973f firmwares. It all says Passed!! In odin but getting stucked on samsung dim dim logo. Can anyone help me to find the solution or how can i go back to live demo unit firmware to use the phone as tablet (at least the ads/videos of the live demo unit better than a non working phone)
Anyone can help plz?
Can't you call this friend who used to have a cellphone shop to help you out? I'm guessing he should know, as he's in the habit of giving out free demo units to friends.

1) Get the proper firmware(if you don't already have)
2) Try another Odin app, such as 3.13.1, 3.13.3 or 3.13.1_3B (Patched)
3) Also having a sim card inside helps too

CDMA is the antiquated phone network formerly used by Verizon and not the same as live demo. When buying a demo, just be prepared to be disappointed. Many demo units can never be used as a phone.

Bricked the phone and locked the bootloader! Seriously need help from you.

Hi friends,
I am telling you the whole story in a short way,
I have needed to root my devices, so I unlocked bootloader as it said on some web sites and install a new rom. Mine was Android 8.1 Nokia 7 plus TA-1046 600CN I think now its Pie 600WW.
After that that Pie did not work well on my devices, especially sensors and notifications was awful. So tried to downgrade to stock rom, but could not.
Right now, there is no rom on my device and bootloader and also locked the critical partitions.
I have TWRP recovery installed but i cant enter the recovery mode, the device is always in download mode even try to enter with volume UP + Power button phone goes directly download mode.
I have done something stupid with locking bootloader I agree but please help me to get out of this situation.
Its too bad without a phone
Thank you very much.
I dont know if it will work. Did you try to switch the partitions from A to B or B to A?
There are tutorials on how to do that via adb. I cant tell you exactly how to do it, i did it also from tutorials.

in both partitions it is saying Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot.
and
I cant go into recovery
That sounds bad. Sorry, im not that advanced.
Isn't it possible to force it into recovery via adb? I got no idea, just asking.

Unfortunately I can`t because the bootloader is locked I have to unlock it but I can not because I have to downgrade the bootloader from Pie to Oreo
It sounds like a bad situation indeed. I think you may be SOOL, but hopefully a way forward will become apparent. Otherwise a new device might be indicated ?
1.unlock bootloader
2.reflash firmware with tools.
for piehttps://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-plus/how-to/guide-workaround-flashing-sparse-t3906070
for oreohttps://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-7-plus/how-to/workaround-flashing-oreo-firmware-t3793791
I ran into a similar situation and I installed the stock rom using NOST (Nokia Online Service Tool) and the stock rom in .NB0 file type.
If you need those files PM me and I can provide them for you, most likely you have them already if you unlocked your bootloader using TechMesto's service.
