For now nothing, i need a tester that can private message me on telegram.
I own the phone, but is at another house wich now i cannot reach because of coronavirus in Italy.
For who wants to test:
1) I'll provide a unlock method that at 99% can unlock phone, but can take days.
2) Rest on telegram @sasi2006166 on TG
Thanks to all.

Unlock the bootloader will not make Custom ROMs appear "as magic" for this device.
Is a step in the right direction, sure. But there is still in need developers to custom make the ROMs... And i doubt that anyone will develop, at this stage, to the Mate 20 Lite....
So, even if a unlock method for the bootloader appears, that doesn't resolve anything.

OpenKirin may be already compatible with this phone so there is the possibility and there is a method for rooting and installing TWRP.

Your can try to ask for update from.hicare app... Also you can try to flash from zero the full.b136... And try to update should arrive at least to 182..And should also suggest the b378 (nougat)

?? Recall? U mean rollback? U don't need to rollback as u r not in nougat... Or maybe I misunderstood...
Try to ask for update from hicare app... If this don't work u can only flash full b136 is the only way... I guess u already tried to manually update with DLOAD + 3 buttons method

I had the same issue a while ago and had to manually update to B182, from there it should update to Nougat automatically, or again like me, you can do it manually. I seem to recall reading that B166 was a beta (or similar) and would never update, so I'd download B182 and update it yourself.
Please, can someone convert this rom to Mi 5X?

No, it doesn't work like that.
Probably a stupid question, but... Is it possible to change the partition table of Mi 5X into a Mi A1 partition table, in order to achieve A/B partition, and OTA update on Mi 5X?
I know there must be a reason that instead of doing this, the development of using A1 ROM on 5X went with the other route of porting the ROM, but... Is there something I should read to understand the issue better?

The biggest problem is that there is no way to debrick the 5X for now, so every screw up means having to RMA the phone. That means that while it's possible to repartition in some way or another, we still need to find a way.
I want too, plz stay tune for the post of @Aex12 update.
please also, please....
I've seen Xiaomi.eu has releasedROM version 8.9.20 but my phone doesn't inform about it.
I'm hesitating about waiting for it or downloading the file manually.
Is it the same file or is the OTA file a reduced version containing just the changes?
Wrong tread... Place it in Q&A but, anyway, I can't help you, don't know the answer
Wait till tomorrow

What if I download it manually and flash it throught the OTA option to flash zip files?
Will the result be the same?
Senior members. Why this question in this section?

Yes. I just did that.
Downloading and flashing via twrp will get the same resilts. For god's sake, senior member, this is the wrong place!!
As I just asked and I already received the developer reply. Not yet available for the Pie version, will come in future updates.

Hi guys,
I've got mi a2 running official latest Pie with arb4.
To install official pie while having arb4, I had to replace some files in original fastboot firmware.
Is it possible to update to 10 using the same file replacement or if not, are there any other options?
I also have a Mi A2 with ARB4, now it's a MI 6X and I use a pixel experience on it, how did you do to install the official android pie on it with ARB4?

Hi.
You have mediafire link with all files in shared thread.
I already got it, the best solution is to install the Pixel Experience for the 6X ... Wheel even better than the official one for Mi A2.
There are several negative factors when returning to Android One with ARB4, in which case the internal memory of the phone is divided into two partitions and has access to only one. I think the best solution is to use Pixel Experience.
