Hi everyone, first I am sorry if there is already thread like this did not found so please link it if there is. Thread headline explains itself. In short I bought ROG2 from Chinese supplier and got Tencent device with what use to be Global rom. However OTA is not working and I would like to have Android 10 on my device. So if someone can point me in right direction regarding tools and roms needed to do this. I saw several threads about that but I am not sure what is on my phone now so I will provide Device Info HW screenshot.
Stay safe people!

Head over to the guides section of this forum. You need to make sure of the following so you can update fw:
1. Make sure you have changed both firmware and fingerprint versions to global
2. Decide if you want to root or not
Tencent versions will never get OTA updates. At least as of now there is no known workaround for getting official OTA working for converted rog phones, all need to be manually updated. There is a third party app that can help do this, you can find it in the software/theme section.
Once you have fully converted to ww, you can manually download updates. Just move then to your root folder/internal storage and reboot then follow onscreen instructions.
Sorry cant post links but you can navigate to those sections easy.

Yes, but look at the fingerprint of your device, it's still CN, that needs to be matched to the rom (ww). So you need to follow one of the guides for this first

Dude.... WHAT?? I'm guessing you heard that on XDA is a method to put 2.0 on the G1, and instead of, I dunno, reading anything, you just created an account, skipped reading ANY of the forum rules, and posted a question asking people to hold your hand and give you information that you were two clicks away from finding yourself? This is the development section. You ONLY create a thread here if you are contributing to DEVELOPMENT. If you have a QUESTION, you post in Q&A. How hard is that????
Of course, this is bypassing the ridiculous question... why would you be running "firmwark" 1.1? If that's really what you have, then I don't think you want to root or flash 2.0. You want the latest OTA update. Here are the steps:
Step 1: Wait a day or two, and your phone will tell you there's an update available
Step 2: Click yes
Step 3: Wait while your phone updates itself
Step 4: Voila! You have the latest official firmware
Step 5: Never visit these forums again
Hello guys,
I have the note 5 n900c, and I am interested in rooting and installing custom packages.
Could anyone with some experience compile a quick guide on:
How to find the latest rooted stock firmware for Note 5
How do you keep the device updated when Samsung releases new firmware (or updates) ? do you have to wipe each time ? how do you backup if so?
I am just looking for a convenient way to root and keep the device up-to-date with all the minor fixes released by Samsung.
Thank you guys for helping.

Hi,
Firstly search XDA Note5 forum and you will learn.!
There is threads/Guide, in General forum of Note5 and on other websites /forums.
Secondly, you state you" have a note 5 n900c "..?
You sure not a" N920C "model.?
Remember , if you root you cannot install OTA /updates from Samsung, (unless you unroot etc)
Even if you manage to download a OTA, you most likely will "brick" you device!
Otherwise, you have to flash current new updated Samsung Rom , everytime and root again.
Before you attempt to root...... you have to read alot and Google search to find the correct information. Also viewing YouTube videos helps.
I can deduct from your post, you still have a lot to learn about rooting.
Don't just root because it "cool"!
Remember, in effort to root, you can brick your device...!
trip Knox, plus other issues etc. maybe your device does not want to enter "sleep" mode, maybe warranty etc. Can't install "certain apps " because your device is rooted.
So after you searched and have read the Guides that is available, then decide what you want to do.?
Also note, that for some device /models, members do not have root.. yet.!
Its your device..!
good luck

Hi,
Yes, if you flashed a good reliable custom Rom ,
the relevant dev of Rom most probably would keep updating "all." plus other handy mods and features. etc
He would also most probably specify this in relevant custom Rom thread (Normally , the first, second or third post.)
I would not worry to much about this. Just subscribe to that
thread, that you know of any issues or new versions
that is available.
Good luck
I'm not the ROM Creator or Developer
I'm just sharing how I successfully installed RR N on my ZE601KL
I put strain on ZE601KL cause it was difficult to find proper help and instructions and I kept facing some or the other issues for some time
The major problem I faced was Speaker not working and I got it fixed permanently by flashing ROM with proper procedure
This ROM is published by Fabb2303 and CLICK HERE to see his original thread.
I greatly appreciate all efforts of the dev
Downloads:
RR N latest build (from his thread)
Speaker Fix (from his thread)
Latest BeanGapps-arm64-7.1 - CLICK HERE
Official Unlock App
TWRP 3.0.2-Z00T
My Procedure:
1. Initially I was on Stock Asus ROM (WW-21.40.1220.1998)
2. Then I unlocked bootloader using Official Unlock App
3. Then flashed latest TWRP-Z00T
4. Advanced Wipe : System, Data, Cache, Dalvik-Cache
5. Install RR N zip + BeanGapps + Speaker Fix (All together)
6. Wipe Dalvik-Cache and Reboot
Good. But bro move this thread in general section as this is Android development & ROM section.

I'm curious about your steps here. Do you really have ZE601KL?
And you really can unlock bootloader using Official unlock App?
Because i'm googling everywhere i know, i can't find a person who success to unlock bootloader a ZE601KL, using official unlock app.
Even in some sites, our device is listed among unsupported device for official unlock app..

Hi mate. I just did, yesterday, but it wasn't easy. I guess it was just cause I'm a troll, regarding development and proper use of the resources the comunity shares here.
Seems to me that it was worse cause I wasn't used to work with adb, and my device was unusable. But as soon as I got the apk in the phone and got it to work, I think I had to start the apk a few times cause of some error, but in the end it got to work. Maybe you should try again, it doesn't seem that difficult to me now, after all the trouble. Get the apk on your phone and run it from there.
I was just looking now, and the one that's said to be appropriate for ze601kl [release_UnlockApp_1211.apk] wasn't the one that did it for me. The one that worked was supposed to work with Z00L, I think [UnlockTool_ASUS_AndroidM20160928_Singed.apk].
Anyway, unlocking the bootloader doesn't give you root acces directly. I don't really understand how root access seems to work these days, apparently you need to flash some patch (after unlocking bootloader) and then you can give access to apps. I don't really understand, it was different a few years ago. It was nice to go on playstore and get a free app to give you access without any trouble. Not anymore.
Here's a link in case you need, I think it's the right ZE601KL Unlock Tool: [drive. google. com/file/d/0By51hEg7wH0ONGZ0T0JNYXhQb1E/view ]. All the best!
ps: can't post external links, just add the "http" stuff and take the spaces off.
I bought the cn version of rog phone and want to change the rom and all that (I don't exactly know what I'm supposed to change) so I can have my phone using the rom used in the phones sold in America (if they are)/Europe. Also what are the side effects of I do it if it's possible, can I still get Android updates or do I have to reset the phone Everytime by flashing the new system rom
No side effect at all. But you need take one time to unblock bootloader > root and change the country to WW. We can say it will able to get OTA but at least it is working with google pay currently.
There are already a few threads with clear instructions on how to do it. I recommend you delete this thread if you can and post in the corresponding thread if you run into any issues

There are video tutorials on YouTube as well if you are afraid, they're step by step
Been researching for ages now, made a good few mistakes, had gms services installed all smooth sailing, manually updated with hisuite and team mt to 10.0.1.175 but I've stuffed up now.
I went hunting for a firmware version to restore Ota updates and have spiraled down a deep dark rabbit hole.
Self inflicted issue I flashed Emui 10.0.1.154 from reading threads in hopes of regaining Ota updates but obviously wiped all the data (silly me made no backups) and now need to reinstall googlefier but I'm unable to with the firmware version being too high up.
Now begins the major issue I'm stuck at 10.0.154 and I can't find firmware anywhere as team mt online firmware finder is currently bringing back errors both through apk and online, I saw a thread somewhere about Huawei moving databases or something like that.
I have found some other sites like huaweidl but the firmwares hosted are incompatible
I have a Els-NX9
Build is (185E9R4P1)
Region is clearly C185
I've typically searched for ELS-LGRP4 firmwares as the results often were favorable.
Currently I can't find firmware to match closest I've gotten is (C432) firmwares which is probably why Ota updates stopped working in the first place.
At this point I don't care about emui 11 or updates anymore I just want gms and gapps back I'm losing my mind can anyone assist?

Just an update @starbase64 thank you for the firmware, what a treat both my issues solved tonight after many a late night of searching and reading. I have both Gms now and Emui 11 through Ota updates.
Just to provide my method to other readers,
I downloaded the aforementioned firmware version for my build. Extracted it to a USB thumbdrive making sure the dload folder was at the root of the drive. And then used the otg method to flash the firmware.
@Bender007 also want to say thanks for the amazing googlefier app, both times now it was super easy to work with.
