Hello!
I'd really like to disable the toast in the subject, possibly selectively for selected apps. The case is "Pixel Launcher Mods" which requests root access from time to time, I trust the app and it's annoying to randomly see the notification.
Thank you very much!

You can remove the toast notification completely in Magisk Manager settings (toward the bottom) but not selectively on a per app basis.
In the superuser tab of the Manager press the app name and switch the notification toggle. If you're using the Canary Manager you long press the app name.
Done.

Awesome, thanks! I reached that page, but wasn't clear how to enter the sub-menu (I thought that tapping on it would disable the root access).

So I used the method of running minimalist buttons (black) and setting them up through Desktop Visulaizer and Astro file manager. I'm currently using LauncherPro Plus. The Phone and Message button goes directly to where there supposed to. The App button or "Widget drawer" does not, I have to have it set up as a "swipe to open" to have a functional App drawer. There was no opition for a "App drwaer launch" with using Desktop Visulaizer.
Does anybody have any idea on how to make this work where all I have to do is click the opition rather then having the swipe to launch?? Any help would be great.
I have provided a shot from using the Shoot Me App.
Thanks.
lwp - long press the app drawer, choose change icon, custom, yours....or am I missing something?
EDIT: Thank you PhoenixPath, I must have had a stupid spell, I took away the "app drawer" icon and replaced that...DUHHH, It has been fixed.

I wish Google would allow the option to send a text message from the phones recent list it has redial and details they should put "message" there too. I only have the option to call the number back. It is frustrating. Also the ability to stop a download mid way. Are there anything else?
Long press on the download in the status bar then click on it and then hit the trash icon or go to downloads in app drawer and do the the same

thanks the long press wasn't working for me that's what i assumed would do it. but going to downloads apk and long press there does indeed stop it.
thanks
And clear the recent apps with one touch, enable blacked out theming as an option, and double tap to wake and put the device to sleep
Clearing recents, they'll never do and with good reason. What they should do is allow us to limit how many apps are shown, like recently does.

Just disable all apps which appears when you tap 'open settings'.
And from 'more options' disable system apps too.
You must be good to go.
Thank you its working.
I got the same issue.
It caused by facebook messenger apps.
When the application asks for permission, there will be a permission pop up display on screen, if there is any application run with screen overlay mode (just like facebook messenger or its chat head) , It will overlap the permission pop up and users will not be able to see it. After a few hour workaround with it. I found the way to resolve it without disable the screen overlay that is close the facebook messenger as well as its chat head then try again with the apps with require permission.
If the problem still occurs, Press the "List" button and end all the background applications.

Hide "running in the background" Notification did not fully work on my Mate 10, since in some instances I still kept getting them notifications for few seconds, however I solved this using the mentioned app with these notification settings:
1. Hide "running in the background" Notification enabled with granted Notification Access Permission;
2. When Android System notification is triggered Long press on "Android System" notification in the notification panel -> hit "More Settings" -> Disable "Allow notifications" and set "Lock screen notifications" to "Never".
After I did this my phone no longer shows Android System notifications and all other app notifications work with no issues.
not Work!!
not working here also
Os working for me. With this app I get no more notifications of background processes

Use this app and add a notification block "running in the background" make sure the checkbox for case insensitive is check.

Thank you. Worked great for running in background and displaying over other apps notifications.
i used this program
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...tification&rdid=com.joaomgcd.autonotification
I´m using Automate with this flow (http://llamalab.com/automate/community/flows/15941), that´s works for me. (no root needed)
If your device language isn´t english, simply change the string "running in the background" with other that proceeds, for example, in spanish: "se está ejecutando en segundo plano".
The trick is, Oreo lets you snooze a notification, this flow simply snooze it for a very long period of time, and reapply it if appears again.
I'm using this method .
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/themes/hide-running-background-notifications-t3748289
Ok, i have a solution for the problem, no app is necessary.
Open settings
Open Apps
Click below on More
Then click on show system processes
Click on Android System
Click on Notifications
Then click on Apps running in background
And turn off Allow Notifications
That's it!
Does this work in android 10?
Hello community, is there a way to remove VPN icon from status bar/notification list? I tried SystemUI tuner, but it doesn't work on S10+ and QuickStar (Good Lock) does't have the VPN icon listed in its setting.
Without root I have to use ADGuard (or similar) to remove AD, but they use VPN to filter them. VPN icon is very annoying especially because it's always shown in AOD. Any clue?

I think the best you can do without mods is minimize the notification, which still appears in the list.
Think of it as a status indicator, without it you wouldn't know if you were connected to the VPN right?

I don't think I can minimize such VPN notification. However, it will be always stay on AOD.

Correct, but as I wrote, it's very annoying icon. I'm searching a way, at least, to hide from AOD! ...while waiting for S10 root
You can try AdHell3. I'm using it without any problems and there's no VPN icon, because it doesn't use a VPN.

Yes, already installed, but it doesn't block all ADs, maybe I have to add more domains than the default one. Which domains you use with AdHell3?

I can minimize it on my device. Also, it doesn't show on my AOD screen. Long press the notification and select "details".

Wait, do you mean the ADGuard notification? This can be blocked without issue, I'm referring to VPN notif (the key). I'm not able to remove nor to minimize it.

I just use the hosts file from mmotti's git which was preinstalled. AdHell3 allows just a number of domains and all other lists I tried are exceeding this number.
But I didn't noticed any Ads that weren't blocked - even Google AdSense are getting blocked.
With AdGuard I noticed a mid range battery drain but with AdHell3 not.
Try autonotification from Google Play.
It works for me

No. I'm referring to the system vpn notification. I'm aware of the adguard notification. I've been using it for 4 years
Not sure why you can't. In the notification settings for vpn it allows me to change it to silent n minimized. Don't be fooled by the greyed out slider on the page listing the notifications. Click it to open the options for the notification.

Would you be so kind to explain how you do it?
Autonotification seems to require the name of the app one wants to block the notifications of. Is there one specific app to mention? Or is it a different kind of setting?
Thanks in advance!
Another thing I've recently stumbled across is called good lock. You can get it from the Galaxy store... it allows you to remove multiple icons from the status bar. Such as Bluetooth, alarm icon, VPN icon. It also allows you to do many other ROM customizations without root.
