Question about dual 4G in pyxis and vela - Xiaomi Mi CC9 / Mi 9 Lite Questions & Answers

I have a vela device or meitu.
I managed to install MIUImix rom for pyxis on this device in everything works excellent.
The only thing I don't understand is the lack of dual 4G option in this rom. why is it that in the original Chinese room I get a dual 4G option under SIM network and my 4G signals applies to both Sim simultaneously in the notch/notification area.
But in the MIUI MiX I don't get this option in the settings and only one sim out of time
Attached a picture that hopefully will explain it better

Hi Yotamy, So you successfully flash the pyxis on meitu vela? Via TWRP or mi flash tool? I also what to flash my meitu to global rom. Thanks

[Q]How can I take 4G EU Networks

Hello,
I have a problem with my new HTC One bought on a chinese website.
I discovered (unfortunately after the phone arrived), that it is Sprint Developer version and I tried from some days but I can't get 4G LTE networks.
It works with my italian sim card only in GSM/UMTS and I think that 4G networks is only possible with USA sim card, or however with CDMA sim.
How can I fix the problem?
I have tried to flash any kernel for the original HTC and flashed some custom ROMs, but in any case I can't access to 4g networks!
Are there any firmware (I don't know if it's radio or kernel but I need the firmware that enable 4g) that can I flash without bricked the phone?
I have already read other old posts in this forum, but nobody gave the solution.
I have read that the internal phone components are the same, too.
Thanks
N.B.: In my simcard 4G is allowed.
Nobody answer?

[Q] Questions and issues with L00 chinese version

Hello peoples,
Buying a P7-L00 can be interesting from China, with the dual Sim slots, but you have to know that the 4G will may be not work.
For exemple, i live in France and the only operator which is compatible with the L00 chinese 4g chipset is Bouygues. (All other ORANGE/SFR/FREE will be 3G) This is due to frequency use in their 4G networks, the P7-L00 support 3 out of the 4 channels frequency but all those operator only support the missing one.
So no 4G for this little phone, if not a Bouygues client.
Another thing: roms.
I installed TWRP and unrooted the device. Since then all official update are failing.
When i boot in twrp, and choose the update.zip file, it says that it is unable to check the zip file....
So im stuck with previous version, unable to install mui3.0.
So if people have a solution on how can i upgrade my device, would be nice.
Regards

Flash stock recovery, put update on sd card, and make force update.

Mi3W SIM not recognised - peculiar case

Hi All. I have quite a strange case of my SIM card not being recognised by my Xiaomi Mi3W.
Here's what happed.
1) Purchased phone off friend with stock MIUI - all working
2) Inserted my SIM with mobile carrier A (still with stock MIUI) - all working
3) Flashed Cyanogenmod 12.1 Cancro on phone - all working
4) 3 days later, changed mobile carrier to carrier B - not working
Original SIM card from carrier A was in phone when my account with carrier A was erased.
Since my number was ported from carrier A to carrier B, the phone has had issues recognising SIM cards.
5) SIM card from carrier B not working, and neither are other SIM cards
6) I have checked with carrier B and my phone is definitely compatible with their network.
7) My SIM card is working on all other phones
8) The weird bit is that at the shop of carrier B, the shop assistant SIM worked, but a brand new SIM didn't.
9) I have tried reflashing Cyanogenmod. - not working
10) I have updated Cyanogenmod. - not working
11) SIM tray looks clear of dust/obstacles - still not working
System details: imgur dot com/zwiD3pR <--(sorry new acc)
Not to sure where to go to next. I guess I can try back to MIUI or stock android, but I'd love to hear what you think.
Try doing a factory reset (assuming you haven't as mentioned in post)
If still not working, remove the sim, flash the stock miui back through fastboot, guides of which can be found in more detail in the miui forums
See if the sim works or not, if it does try rooting and installing recovery
Then flash the cyanogenmod and see if the issue still persists

About to purchase the Mi5 from Aliexpress, just need to clarify 2 things

Ok so the seller on Aliexpress says it is network unlocked, so does that mean it can be used on any cellular network globally? i.e any carrier? im from new zealand.
Also I have to get the Chinese ROM version to be able to install CM13 right?
Unlocked to work with any sim. Check if the correct bands are supported.
I was able to unlock my bootloader with the 7.3.2 Global ROM that the seller flashed via EDL before shipping .
I have a mi5 and live in NZ. You will only have 3g here until some smart cookie unlocks the correct band for 4g here on a mi5. It doesnt concern me tho as im mostly wifi.
Apply for a bootloader unlock now before you get the phone. That will take by the looks of it 5-15days to come thru. I was on the locked bootloader eu rom and unlocked my bootloader but Im not sure its the done thing as everyone seems to say unlock when you are on a chinese version. Great phone!!!.
Hope that helps.

Oh great to see another kiwi on the internet! How cone 4G doesnt work for you? I live in Auckland and according to the spark ( which is what I use ) website, they have bands 3, 7, and 28. The Mi5 supports 3 and 7 so it should work with 4G right? At least in Auckland?
Could you clarify about the ROM stuff? I want to make sure I can install Cyanogenmod on it.
Few and far between arent we!! .
I flashed the EU locked bootloader rom with Miflash and ran that for a week while I waited for the unlock approval. Then I couldnt get a chinese rom flashed for some reason so when the unlock code came thru I tried with the EU rom and it unlocked. I installed twrp from there and flashed CM versions as they come. I had verifications errors with the unlock tool but I found out I had two accounts so changed the mi account in the phone over to the correct number and it unlocked easily. Im not saying it is the way to do it tho just what worked for me.
I am situated down the waikato so might just be the network here. Ill check today I hardly use data and the building I work at seems like it has a lead roof!!!!!!!

Oh okay, glad you got it working in the end. I still need to catch up on how to install custom roms as its been a few years. If 4G doesn't work in Auckland then it'll be a shame because the Mi5 is an awesome phone for the price. At this stage I'm hesitant in case I incorrectly flash the rom and because 4G might not work...so just gonna wait to see what the Oneplus 3 will be like :fingers-crossed:
Oh and the ZTE Axon 7 also seems to be really good, will be eyeing that as well.

Getvolte working on custom roms. Oreo and nougat

Install oxygen os or open beta latest. Then insert the jim sim only in slot 1. Slot 2 must be empty. Den after the network is shown, dial *#*#4636#*#*. In the menu that comes up, select network as LTE only. See whether volte icon is der at this stage. Now after this install the custom rom.. Dont insert the second sim now. After installing the custom rom and getting to home screen , see whether volte is working. It will work. Now insert the other sim in slot 2. Keeping the jio sim in slot 1. Volte will work. If you plan on using any other new sim.. make sure u first put it along with jio first. Jio should be in slot 1. After this only u can shuffle the sims wid the slots.
This method worked for me in every custom rom and volte will stick after reboots also.
Works on oneplus 3. Should work on 3t also.
You dont need to do this each time you flash a new rom. Do this if volte is not working or when you change from oos to custom roms.
