I found a manual on "rootmygalaxy.net" but i am not sure, if it works?

All this website write crap, i tested some methode but after patching the boot.img with magisk and flashing with odin -- what you think? Bootloop.
Booting into Download Mode an Flashing back to Stock.
So without Custom Recovery it dont work. -.-
PS: OEM Unlock works without problems, only red warning on boot.

Hi,
I use this drivers: https://samsungusbdriver.com/download/samsung-driver-v1-7-28-0 drivers (works here)
Like i said all those tutorial are waste of lifetime there just do copy/past and guess what? It don't work, like "patching" boot file with Magisk and flashing it with ODIN the steps works but it ends in bootloop then you only can reflash stock rom.
regards.
Anyone get solution???
Still waiting....
please i need root my galaxy m31
Anyoknow how to get service mode to work?
After entering by giving *#0011#.
Giving "Q" and "0000" does not seem to work with newer galaxy phones.
I would like to change my band to Band 3 , my older oneplus was rooted but I think rooting is not required here for Samsung.
there is a way, but whether it works and how good it is I will not say. Try it at your own peril and risk. eftsu.com
The device looks great. I was really thinking about buying it because my current phone is starting to have charging issues.
Simply getting TWRP will not be enough. The device likely has dm-verity. So it will require a custom kernel too. But development for that can not even begin until TWRP gets released.

This root provides only visual access to the system folder without the possibility of editing. You can just copy something from there to the user section.

Just tried rooting the phone for the first time. Not too familiar with rooting. Only done a few phones before.
Unlocked boot loader on dev site. Installed TWRP just fine. Installing root package went fine, but I was unable to install busybox. It would either fail to install, or crash the phone and reboot. I found a root + busybox zip, flashed that, and then SuperSU said I wasn't rooted at all! Tried flashing the old SuperSU root package again, but I'm still not rooted anymore. Can someone give me a quick fix for this please?
Thanks.
Is there anyone that can give me some advice? It would be MUCH appreciated!
hi friend ..
i'm also new about rooting hTC (1st time).i'd like to help, but not good enough on explanation ..i root my hTC One on day 2nd bought it.Might some help from youtube and xda topics about unlock bootloader, s-off & rooting.
after u done unlock bootloader, just download twrp zip or cwm zip..extract it copy twrp file (img) on fastboot folder (on pc drive with fastboot files for unlock bootloader process).
right click img file to open as cmd. Then type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" then press enter..if u see word just like okay u can go back to bootloader mode, select recovery if u see word on top of screen while htc booting mode that's mean u already done flashing recovery.wait just 2 second, twrp should appear..u should download superSU or super user early put on ur sd then u flash it use twrp..check ur root status use root checker or titanium backup.lastly u tap on superSU or super user icon to update binary (for this method i'm not sure u need to update or not) might somebody got any best answer..
sorry for bad english & too simple methods.

ATTENTION!
You MUST read all the guide BEFORE doing it, if you do it without reading all of it first you may ends up bricking your phone!
Prerequisites:
Asus ZE500KL (may work on ZE500KG, but haven't tested, do it on your own risk) on Marshmallow, NOT LOLLIPOP!
Also, it must have fully booted AT LEAST one time, otherwise, you'll soft-brick it.
If your phone is not on Marshmallow, you can use THIS guide insteadDownload and put the unlocker zip file and the SuperSu zip file in the phone
How To:
1 - Install adb and fastboot driver (follow THIS guide)
Now you can connect the phone to your computer2 - Reboot in fastboot mode with one of the following method:
a -Volume Up while booting upb -With adb, after enabling USB debugging in developer settings, using:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Now that you are in bootloader, you have to boot in TWRP,
download THIS recovery (is the twrp one) and boot in to it, using this command:
IMPORTANT: DON'T FLASH IT OR YOU WILL GET BOOTLOOP!!!
Code:
fastboot boot TWRP-x-x-x-x.img
(Obviusly the recovery name must be the one you downloaded)
IMPORTANT: DON'T FLASH IT OR YOU WILL GET BOOTLOOP!!!
It should automaticaly enter in recovery.
Now you MUST flash FIRST ZE500KL_BootloaderUnlock.zip, otherwise you'll brick your phone
Btw, the recovery will mount your phone's memory, so you can put now the files in the phone, if you forgot to do it before
AFTER you installed the unlocker zip, you can install the SuperSu zip
When the install is complete, clear the cache and reboot your phone, now you can enjoy your root!

Is it me or everytime I reboot the device after rooted, it's going back to unrooted?
Root is a success tho, great job, OP!
Edit: okay, not every reboot, but after several reboots, then it went back unrooted
IMPORTANT - READ THIS FIRST:
The Note FE comes with dm-verity check and forced encryption enabled. You will need to remove this extra layer of security for root access. To disable dm-verity and forced encryption you must install TWRP recovery first on your Note FE. Note that disabling forced encryption and dm-verity requires a factory reset from TWRP recovery, so you should backup your data (internal storage) before you begin.
The next stage then will be to root the device by flashing the SuperSU zip via TWRP recovery. SU will also ensure that dm-verity and forced encryption remains disabled. Bear in mind, however, that a factory reset will restore them again.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Download Odin and drivers here: https://build.nethunter.com/samsung-tools/
Download TWRP for Note 7 Exynos: there are two versions: Korean and International:
Korean version: https://dl.twrp.me/graceltekor/
International: https://dl.twrp.me/gracelte/
Download the latest version of SuperSu here: https://download.chainfire.eu/1021/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip?retrieve_file=1
You should also download the stock firmware appropriate to your version of Note FE, just in case. Variants S & L can be found on Sammobile, and variant K is available here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=817550096634784008
ROOTING YOUR NOTE FE:
Read these instructions through carefully before you begin.
(1) Install TWRP Recovery on your Note FE via Odin.
(2) Boot your Note FE into TWRP recovery as follows:
(a) First switch off your device.
(b) Now Press and hold “Home + Power + Volume Up” buttons for a few seconds and as soon as you see your device’s logo on-screen, release the three buttons altogether. Your device will boot into TWRP recovery.
(3) Upon booting into TWRP recovery for the first time, you’ll get a prompt to allow system modifications. You should swipe right to allow this.
(4) On the TWRP main menu, select WIPE then select “Format Data”. You will need to type yes in order to proceed. This will clean wipe the entire internal storage on your Note FE (make sure you have backed-up your important files safe to restore later).
(5) Still in TWRP recovery, you should now connect your Note FE to the PC. (TWRP supports MTP connection so you’ll be able transfer files to the device.) Wait until your Note FE appears on your PC desktop (may take a while first time). You can now transfer the SuperSU zip to your Note FE.
(6) Go back to the TWRP main menu and select “Install” this time. Now you can flash the SuperSU zip.
(7) Reboot your Note FE.
You should now be rooted. Test using an appropriate app.
It would be helpful to others if you reported your experience and the outcome here.
Good luck.
Thanks again for using your device to test this bro!

Two possibilities why it's not working for you:
Try flashing TWRP with USB debugging off.
Are you placing the TWRP file in the right slot (AP) in Odin?
The last one is obvious, but it's strange that TWRP doesn't open for you.

Well, it works. But there may be minor problems. If we get enough reports we should be able to isolate these and see what can be done to correct them.
These are early days with FE so there will be little personal data on them yet. So this is a good time for some experimentation, especially as flashing stock is known to be successful.

I used "twrp-3.1.1-0-gracelte.img.tar".
Are you formatting data? If you are, try flashing without allowing modifications and without formatting data. You won't be able to make use of TWRP in that mode, but try it and see what happens.
One last try: If the above fails, try entering stock recovery after you flash the stock firmware.
Finally, I have the K variant. It might be that the problem occurs because you have a different variant.
You could get the TWRP app (check the TWRP site). There is a specific version for korean telecoms (graceltekor). I've dloaded it and will give it a try tomorrow. But you should test the above suggestions first.

There's a 3.1.1-0 version of the korean version (graceltekor) too. Use the new link I added to the OP. I've tried both today, now that I have a better idea of what is involved. Both work fine, seems to be no difference between them - I mean, for our purposes.

12. If on Nougat and successful from recovery reboot to bootloader in Odin BL slot flash BL_NOUGAT_STOCK_G93*.tar
Beware If you update to new V8 bootloader then rooting and everything will not work. You will be stuck on stock possibly for good

BTW nice work as always Jr! Oh, & almost forgot ...your last comment saved my @zz!!! I wasn't aware of the ver 8 issue, and the fact that u can't downgrade!! DAMN Samsung!!!!! I was seriously about to try this latest update just to try & figure out RCS not working on CRF1 & randomly came across this! THANKS! (BTW if you know anything about RCS on s7 or services/apks needed for functionality on CRF1 please pm me!)
On another note, let's have a contest to see who can hold on to the S7 the longest as their primary phone
It works perfectly , I had no problem installing it. But I have a question:
Could I replace the SuperSu with the Magisk?
I am also in the Rom Project L S7 of Lanc-City: 3

Thanks for the effort and providing root for T-Mobile. Perhaps I am an unlucky person. By the time I discovered this thread, my phone was already updated to G930TUVS8CRJ1 version. I am wondering if there is any hope for V8 bootloader to root their phone in near future. Here is my humble request if you could provide root for V8 update. TIA.

Thank you. It worked fine on my nougat s7 flat with v4 bootloader. Now I have nougat root. I have a question if I may, Can I use tmp twrp to flash Oreo or one of your, or other roms? Or would I need to upgrade the kernel or something because I can flash Oreo being that I'm on Nougat. Thanks.

You have to update bootloaders and firmware as well so its better to update to oreo first

working fine.
update: gonna have to switch back to u firmware because even when i unroot the phone, certain games wont work or connect to server. i cant install magisk to bypass safetynet or hide magisk after installing so root isnt even seeming worth it on this device. might as well stick to the u firmware and disable the apps I dont need and disable ota update so that i dont get the v8 bootloader update. It was fun while it lasted.

Tutorial(downgrade8.1.0=>7.1.1)use nougat stok/custom-roms on Oreo BC-12 bootloader
This tutorial is for the users wich are not satisfied by Oreo 8.1.1 rom
Also can be used by users wich changed the touchscreen from some reazons
and on Oreo 8.1.1 this new touchscreen not work
First got to Settings/System/Developer option and chec OEM-unlockin to be ENABLED!
for flashing twrp-recovery may be need to unlock the bootloader by code but it should work only with OEM-unlocking enabled
Downgrading with FASTBOOT!
1) Charge youre phone to at least 50-70%, better is 100%
2) Download the FILES necessary for downgrading
3) Reboot the phone in bootloader and connect to the pc
4) Opend the terminal and write "fastboot" or "mfastboot" depends by your instaled fastboot
5) Copy/Paste in terminal the lines writed in "fastboot-mfastboot.txt" atached to files
or write them one by one and press ENTER
WAIT 'till it finish
6) In bootloader screen, from buttons vol-up & vol-down navigate and set to "reboot recovery" and press Power
Phone should boot in TWRP-recovery!
Now you have to install a custom-rom or a stok-rom TWRP flashable with Install option
""for this use the instruction to install posted by the developer of each rom""
Also you can RESTORE an older 7.1.1 backup made before update to OREO
Reboot and enjoy by nougat-7.1.1 rom on oreo-8.1.0 bootloader
Downgrading with TWRP
Files to be flashed with TWRP for the users wich have olready the TWRP-recovery instaled!
1) Download the files
2) Copy the zip archive on the sdcard
3) Reboot the phone in TWRP-recovery
4) Search and install the zip
5) Install nougat 7.1.1 rom or restore an older backup made before update to OREO
Enjoy!

Also, can I flash Stock Nougat (using fastboot) after this? And is there any chance of my device being hardbricked?

No! you cant flash a full nougat rom with fastboot.
Bootloader cant be downgraded!
for hardbricked phones you have first to boot it using the sdcard img.
then when you get bootloader working without sdcard, can use this tutorial

1. Oreo Battery drains considerably faster than 7.1. (But charges faster too)
2. Fingerprint unlocks slower than 7.1
3. Lags slightly when doing intensive tasks.
Now we need a maintainer for (a) Nougat rom(s)..

LOS14.1 has been updated:
NEW BUILD: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid...63190603848665
Change log: November 18 Security Update
NOTE: Like so many other users, I too updated my device with OREO and stuck with that. I haven't tried downgrading it because I don't want to end up with a hard-bricked device once again. Point here is the new build is not tested. So please take a TWRP backup before using this build. Don't forget to post me even if works fine.
Thanks,
KS

I would like to get this in particular: [MONTANA_NPP26.102-49-14]

May I know what rom did you use for flashing with this method?
And do you know if bootloader needs to be unlocked in order to downgrade with this guide?

Its works great.
You can also use fastboot to downgrade!
can the downgrade be done without the bootloader unlocked?
the methods don't work for xt1799-2!
