Google auto Update issue - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Anyone know of any way to trigger Google apps automatic update,
Usually these apps update during charge but X2 pro is lightning and I charge the phone 1 to 2 times a day for 15 minutes only,
Apps never automatically update so I have to manually check.
Bit of a problem for super fast charging ,
On RUI no root

[Q] Auto Reboot & Continuous SYNC after sense 6.0 update

Phone: HTC One
Carrier: AT&T
Never rooted/unlocked.
After update to sense 6.0,
1. Phone auto reboots every 6 hrs once (while on battery or on charger).
2. Battery drains in 4 to 5 hrs and phone becomes very hot.
3. SYNC is continuously ON most of the day, around 1.5gb of mobile data is consumed per day (Google Play Store, com.htc.sense.uid.socialplugins.shared:10018 & removed apps use max data).
4. When the SYNC is ON, device will be very slow ( about 30 seconds to 1 minute later the notification disappears after reading the mail/message/missed call).
5. Apps requiring update from play store, keeps getting re-installed several times when the SYNC is ON.
6. When the SYNC is ON, text messages will not get delivered, they just keep waiting for 2 to 3 minutes.
7. When the SYNC is ON, the Alarm doesn't work.
8. Some times power button will not respond or too slow to wakeup the screen, sometimes device reboots if I press the power button multiple times.
Factory reset for 3 times.
If I leave at default apps, device is OK. But once I reinstall all my apps from play store and setup (individual app manually, with out restoring from backup) the problems reappear.
Please HELP..
Regards,
Kranthi.

Battery drain after Android 9 update

My phone got the update to Android 9 a little over a week ago, and since then it has been losing battery like crazy. For example, last night I left it unplugged as a test, and it lost 30-40% of battery within 6 hours (while I was sleeping). Before the update, a fully charged battery was able to last for two days, now it doesn't even manage one. The phone is often noticeably warm.
I restricted all "consuming apps" some days ago, that did not make any difference. I also tried 3rd-party apps to analyze the battery consumption, but did not find any way to figure out what consumes all the battery in the background / while the screen is off.
Using Google I found other people with the same problem, but I did not find a solution. What can I do?
I had a same kind of problem but it started a few days after a manual update flash. I had been experimenting with some root stuff (mostly magisk though so they should go away by uninstalling the modules) but could also not figure out the reason for the drain.
I also tried to reflash only system and vendor partitions, but ended with a bootloop, so I had to flash the whole firmware again. No problems after that.
I would try a factory reset if I were you.
You can also try GSam battery monitor (if you already haven't) to figure out what's happening with your phone while the screen is off and it should be sleeping.
I upgrade the XPZ yesterday to 4.41 Pie. Charge the mobile after upgrade to 100%.
The current situation looks like:
18hour active, 30 Min Display, a few calls... Whatsall, newsletter, Mail..... are running in the Background, LTE, EDGE and WiFi are always on, BT has a connection to my watch...
88% are still in the Accu. (Save mobil datatransfer is aktiv; additional the option is enabled to reduce power consumption for apps in background)

Battery Draining (May - June) Updates

Does anyone notice a battery draining from those monthly updates because my phone started having that problem when I update to June. If someone has fix on this please tell me/us
Small Conversation from Reddit that has same problem with me - https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS9/comments/c4di2o/battery_june/
Notice yes. Just got my phone a month ago. Came refurbished from some funky place. Old software version, but what do I care. Battery life about 2 days. 9 software updates later, battery doesn't even last one day.
Maybe it's AT&T's network monitoring tool they use at the cost of their customers, bad bloatware or maybe Samsung/Qualcomm screwing me over, but it seemed like it all started about the same time to network logo changed to 5G wannabe. I had a software update almost every second day for 2 weeks, but definitely there has been a difference.
I got this phone thinking my S7 was power hungry - that one was also much better on old software's. Now it's the same sh*t.

Do you have a SD Card inside your S9?
When you have one take it out and use your phone 1 - 2 days and look if it's better (highly recommended to test this).
When your Device care shows that Google play services takes a lot of battery, then you should try that out:
- Deactivate Google Play service
- Delete your Google Account in "Settings"->"Accounts" then you can log it back in
-Activate Google Play services
- Restart your S9
- deactivate "Search for nearby devices"in "settings" -> "connections" -> "further connection settings"
- Turn off "Location"(GPS) when you don't need it
(- When you have the google find my device app take its admin rights and delete it)
(-When you have Facebook and Messenger delete them and download their lite version)
-Delete Samsung Health when you don't need it
- Deactivate Auto Update in Galaxy Apps (store) and in Google Play Store
- Activate "save medium energy' in "settings"-> "device care"
-Set your Display resolution to FHD+
- Deactivate adaptive brightness and use your s9 with low brightness
- Use Mobile Data only if necessary
- Delete Apps that you don't need that much
Do this only if you have very similar Battery life like in this screenshot (Where Screen on time is only 1 hour)
I've done this all and now I have 4Hours SOT instead of 1.5 hours.
I hope I could help those with battery life problems.

Wifi battery drain on new note 9 (exynos) with no new apps installed after pie update

I got a new note 9 for black Friday and updated it to the latest version of Pie. However after this I've noticed the battery seems to drain 1% every 5-10mins with wifi enabled on idle (even in flight mode/no-sim). I haven't switched over from my old phone yet so don't really have any new apps installed. I've tried a factory reset and clearing cache but still seems to be the same. The drain is even worse when actually using the phone or web browsing. With wifi turned off, idle time seems good(1% drain in 10hrs).
Anyone else experienced the same or know how I can find out what is causing this? I've spelt the last hour or so going through every thread, and here's what I've tried:
-Disabling background data usage on most apps
-Uninstalling non-essential bloat via adb
-Disabling auto account syncs
-Using wifi power saver & safe mode
-Using medium power saver mode
You probably flashed a messed firmware, why don't you try One UI 2.0?
They say battery is awesome there.
Mainly, when using WiFi, everything in phone starts running in background, check updates, download updates, ...
If you only want Pie, Uninstall Google Play Services, Join their beta program, and update to latest beta (or you can do it manually).

I've haven't used any custom firmware yet, just ota updates for now. One UI 2.0's beta program isn't available in my country yet, though the stable version should be here next month I hear. Thanks, will try the google play beta program. I've also been reading about battery historian, may give it a try to see if I can pinpoint what is actually causing the issue if that doesn't work.
