Hello guys from xda-developers,
I am using Redmi K20 Pro Premium now, and I want to capture my phone screen to my computer. How can I do?
I ask the customer service in Xiaomi, China. And they told me that Redmi K20 Pro can't use the Type-c to HDMI because it doesn't have the "DP Mode".
But I still want to upload my screen in computer because I want to live on my YouTube channel.
Can anyone have other ways to help me solve it???
*Sorry, I'm from Taiwan. My English is not well, if I have some weird words, please tell me. I'll fix it at fast as possible.

You can try an app called AIRDROID & use it's screen mirror feature

I didnt find any software like samsung desk, but we can mirror our screen , its possible with wire.. i tried
try - SCRCPY, it will work.. you can operate your phone even from your laptop/PC
TUTORIAL : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8SiUx1JRMw
but to do so, you must enable both - USB debugging, USB debugging (Security settings) - which Allows granting permissions and simulating input via usb debugging.
Hope this helps :highfive:

Hi,
I just got a new car and I am trying to connect my P20 Pro through mirrorlink. I searched over the internet but I didn't get any clear answer so far. So, does anyone know if P20 Pro supports mirrorlink (wireless)?
If yes, how can I connect it?
Thank you in advance,
Kostas

Hi,
I connected my P20 Pro with cable with my car. In the car I got the message that a mirrorlink device recognized and in my P20 Pro I got the screen in the attached picture. Actually, the phone automatically moved to landscape mode (even if it was locked to portrait) and it stacked with this message. There were no response from the device until I removed the usb. It seems that there is something more than this message on this screen but it cannot scroll down. I tried with 2 more P20 Pro and with one Mate 10 Pro and I got exactly the same response.
Can anyone help me?
br,
Kostas
How many MirrorLink apps do you have installed?
https://mirrorlink.com/apps
At least one for sure: Spotify
Same situation for me.
Any new information for this?
Thank you.

Spotify by itself is NOT MirrorLink-compatible/licenced. You need to install "RockScout, by MirrorLink" aside Spotify.
As soon as your phone is connected via MirrorLink to your car use the display of your car-entertainment - system instead. That's what mirrorlink is for.
You can try "Parkopedia" from the google play store. This one is MirrorLink-compatible/licenced and free.
Same problem here...
Although Honda inforteinment system works good with my wife's s8+ cannot Connect to P20 pro...
Anyone who managed make it work?
Mirrorlink not picking up P20 Pro
Hi, can anyone please assist. My Toyota fortuner is not picking up my Huawei p20 pro, even with USB cable. Is there a setting on the phone that needs to be active for Mirrorlink to connect or do i need a specific type of USB cable?
regards,
Johan
Same problem with Suzuki
Same problem with P20Pro and Mirrorlink on Suzuki Baleno 2018. Same error message as earlier poster - phone displays a mirrorlink connected message but car display just keeps saying Connect Phone. Tried several cables and have the Sygic Car Navigation App installed on the phone.
Cheers

Hello.

Try a different usb cable. I know it sounds silly but some people are having real problems lately with usb cables that are not fully screened or really poor quality cable. It won't hurt.
why not I'll try tomorrow with original Xiaomi cable
thanks

do you use original xiaomi ultra usb cable to try ?
thanks for the responses.
I have it working now. strangely it doesn't work with the original cable that comes with the xiaomi, another universal cable ordered does work in both car's
it doesn't work on my bmw, but i'm resigned to the fact that bmw hates android and doesn't support anything but those stupid samsungs.
buddy just take the global version , all other roms are crap and bull****. in that version you got all the good things from google ,thats the only rom that should be on this device
Giod evening all
It5 been a while since I've been on here, just wondering if you would eb able to tell me if there is a 'Desktop Mode' on this phone, where you can plug a phone in to screen/TV, maybe via a usb c dock to use it like a computer please?
The computer I have is a work laptop and we cannot install anything on it and we have to use a VPN so the 'PC Connect' is not something I could use, also as great as it looks, it's not the functionality I want myself anyway, I want to be able to use the one device for both phone and computer and I already have the usb c dock and screen/keyboard/mouse set up.
I currently have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro and put Apex launcher on it as I don't like EMUI, I am looking at maybe getting an Oppo Find X5 Pro but would like to know if there is a desktop mode before I commit.
Thank you
Dan
I went to get the Oppo but the offer had eneded and cost too much so I got a Pixel 6 Pro instead, but if anyone does know the answer, please still out it up incase anyone else would like to find out.
Thanks
Historically Google has disabled HDMI/Video Out on all of the Pixel phones. At least for the last few years. I'm pretty sure I've heard confirmation that the Pixel 6 Pro also has it disabled. You can always enable Developer Options and then enable Force Desktop Mode and Enable Freeform Windows. Give it a try and let us know.

Hi Ishy,
Not sure how you connected your Galaxy phone through Android Auto on BMW I drive . OEM do not support Android Auto function yet unless you have a IMI 1000 retrofitted. If that's the case, try uninstalling Android Auto on your Mi 11tpro and re install it again. This should solve the problem in most cases.

Im not sure what that means but I have a 2019 BMW 330e which comes with standard android auto and apples version of it whatever its called from factory.
I can connect my samsung to it and it connects via Bluetooth and wifi.
But my mi 11t pro connects via bluetooth but the wifi doesnt connect to it
I get a notification saying android auto-continue through vehicle.
And then it fails to connect.
I had same problem some time ago. You should install Android auto as system apk. There is a guide somewhere with termux to do that. I don't remember where I found it, but I'm my case that trick did the job
Im going to try and find it. Just tried to install android auto as an apk through some random apk website but that didnt work.
