Mate 10 pro BLA-L09C109 brick - Huawei Mate 10 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello, after trying to upgrade to EMUI 10 in December with the HSTOOL tools, I bricks my phone.
Fastboot tells me I am currently in BLA-L09 9.1.0.325 (C109E10R1P12) and I have tried to upgrade to BLA-LGRP2-OVS 10.0.0.139. Now I have the message "your device has loaded a different operating system"
I don't have the bootloader unlock. I tried all known solutions, DLOAD in OTG. Except testpoint which does not interest me.
fastboot oem get-build-number = BLA-L09 9.1.0.325(C109E10R1P12)
fastboot getvar vendorcountry = vendorcountry: orange/all
fastboot oem get_key_version = huawei_key_v1
I am trying HISuite-Proxy, I have filled out my file as shown below.
I have well configured hisuite so that it uses the proxy in 127.0.0.1 and 7777 as a port. I can download the following packages
Package: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G3501/g1699/v210197/f1/
CUST: http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G3501/g1699/v280356/f1/
Preload: http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G5029/g0/v280929/f1/
They unzip and then fail. "Your device does not support system repairs". My proxy work I am sure but I have the message https://imgur.com/OQudOHZ
Edit: witch the image of C55 I can boot but "recovery failed"
If I go through the internet Hitsuite uses:
BLA-L09-CUST 9.1.0.10(C109)
BLA-L09-PRELOAD 9.1.0.12(C109R1)
BLA-LGRP2-OVS 9.1.0.342
and I have "software Install failed!"
Except wait for BLA-L09C109 which was to come out in February originally, I don't know what to do anymore

Hmm.... i might be wrong, but for this kind of issue you either need a downgrade package or dload package compatible with your current version.
Let me see if i can find the downgrade package (at least the one for BLA-L29, if there's none available for BLA-L09).

You could try renaming dload's cust&preload package to right device's vendorcountry name paclages

Install 100% unfortunately in december you already tried to help me and we concluded that we had to wait for the europe version. because there is no cat and preload for BLA-L09. I tried with AL00 and it didn't work :'(

So your base is emui10 as installed up to 100%.
And no, back in decembre, we concluded that you would need to wait for emui10 dloads (any region). To give a try to dload package renaming cust&preload or straigh with DC-Phoenix.
And there is Emui10 CHN dload avaialble for quite some time now... PM for access
You previously only tryed AL00 online/hicloud packages with dload method, which i told you can't work in the first place.
It's emui10 cust&preload from dload CHN package you should try with dload or DC-Phoenix..

OP try this downgrade firmware with that HiSuite proxy tool - > http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G4383/g1755/v386374/f1/full/update_full_base.zip
You can try it alone or with cust and preload pkg.

Why? With proxy tool you'll be able to use everything you want, something is not correct. I think system recovery always need cust and preload pkg to be performed, maybe that's why you don't find anything.
Anyway, have you tried dload files @oslo83 sent you in PM?
P.S. there are some BLA-AL00 cust and preload approved firmwares on FF. If is as oslo said you should try to install them

by the way, try the base rom alone without manually linking cust and preload, because apparently the one you've chosen has those within itself... [ that's why it's region specialized ],
for example, try this emui 9 alone:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G3501/g1699/v216690/f1/full/filelist.xml
also be sure the application is loading files of subfolder "BLA-L09_orange_all" ( by clicking on Low Debug )
like:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G3501/g1699/v216690/f1/full/BLA-L09_orange_all/changelog_orange_all.xml
if not, try playing around with the latest version's "Version Type" filed
https://github.com/ProfessorJTJ/HISuite-Proxy/releases/latest

Hello, with the help of olso33 we success to unbrick the phone. With DC Phoenix we used the ROM "BLA-AL00B 10.0.0.162 (C00E156R2P4) _Firmware_EMUI10.0.0_05014PKM" (lower version does not work). We flashed the cust, the base and the preload installed by DLOAD.
The phone has however lost its build number, the search functions crash on the home page and many of functions are HS. The playstore and google apps are missing but they can be reinstalled via their APK.
I recommend that you wait for the official version.

Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [Help] programmer? unbrick possible without JTAG. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!
(post this here as well, just in case)
Hey! I see we are very close...
I have some xml files that belong to the Huawei Ascend W1, maybe they can help us to generate the mbn, they contain partition info but I wasn't able to generate the mbn because the tutorial was for an old version of QPST and they changed the XML structure.
I can't post directly into your thread because I have less than 10 posts in XDA, but I will upload it when i'm home.
We have the bin/hex now, Maybe this could be the final piece of the puzzle.
If it works, we can even create our own free tool to solve this problem (until MS releases an official one) and stop InfinityBox and others from making profit out of this problem.
Can you make step-by-step guide fo recovery phone?

Hi, since bin2hexQ not working correctly for some BIN files in the list.
MIT bin2hex have been found and compiled (with slight code changes for c++). Did this, because I'm working on x64 bit system. See code and exe in attachments.
Still looking for solution with CD84376222AAF204C85119532BF34EA55C8844E4.bin.
Sure thing, :020000042A00D0 as first line, :040000052A000000CD as one before last added.
Thanks to Cicin7 on MS forum, also added following string
:020000042A01CF
between
:10FFF0009104012A01000000000000000000000040
and

to prevent memory overwriting, but thor2 still saying:
THOR2_EMERGENCYFLASHV1_ERROR_MSG_SEND_RECEIVE_FAILED
THOR2 1.8.2.15 exited with error code 85021 (0x14C1D)
Does anybody have any ideas, what's wrong with the hex(file attached)?

Yet no luck with Lumia 925 and CD84376222AAF204C85119532BF34EA55C8844E4.bin. Unfortunately, current solution is not working for us
---------- Post added at 11:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 PM ----------
In MPRG_HEX.zip, generated files for bigger *.bin files are wrong (for files of 73 kb original size).
Those files are very different from generated by bin2hex (not bin2hexQ).
Edit : Actually i don't think it's a driver problem !

The fact that you getting -1 after sending the hex, means your hex is wrong.
If your Lumia 925 is RM-910, you still have a chance. In attached archive there are correctly converted HEX files for models, with big binaries.
Else, it won't help you. Our fellow friend Cicin7 on MS forum, did sniffed the data packages send/recived by device during flashing. And this is what his got:
RM892 seems to be cursed. I used an USB communicaton sniffer to look at the command where it fails. Upload of flasher seems OK, then the GO command is sent:
7E 05 2A 00 00 00 DE BA 7E
and device responds:
7E 03 00 0A F2 86 7E, which, according to Qualcomm documentation is NAK packet (03) with reason "Write-verify failed" (000A). I have no idea what hides under this error.
Expected response would be 7E 02 ...

Correct hex files are attached to previous message.
If you want to generate your own - there is an instruction on a top post in the thread - just follow the instruction, covert *.bin to *.hex, and then edit it a bit.
But, since you are RM-89x owner, there will be no difference - even correctly generated HEX from provided BIN files (CD84376222AAF204C85119532BF34EA55C8844E4.bin in our case) will not give you any results.
I won't say our devices are doomed, but there is for sure no correct MPRG flasher is available for now.

Your device is a Single SIM and locked to Orange provider and you want unlock it from provider and enable the dual SIM, am I correct?
If yes, oeminfo dual SIM from C432 is the right one for your case (SNE-LX1C432).
When someone share the oeminfo I'll guide you.
Please note that after rebrand the IMEI from second SIM will be null (000000000000000)
You should check first if this will be an issue for you?

First you have to check and post here your partition layout.
Connect your device to PC
In the terminal run this command to check the communication => adb devices
You should see something like this:
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>[B]adb devices[/B]
List of devices attached
9WVXXXXXXXXXXXX device
Then adb shell
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>[B]adb shell[/B]
HWANE:/ $
And finally to get layout partition run this command => ls -l /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/
Code:
HWANE:/ $ [B]ls -l /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/[/B]
Please post here the result.

At this point you need root.
Backup your oeminfo, identify as Single SIM and then save in PC
In the terminal use these commands:
adb shell
su (You have to grant su permissions on the device)
dd if=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo of=/sdcard/oeminfo.img
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>adb shell
HWANE:/ $ su
HWANE:/ # dd if=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo of=/sdcard/oeminfo.img
131072+0 records in
131072+0 records out
67108864 bytes transferred in 0.913 secs (73503684 bytes/sec)
HWANE:/ #
Flash a new oeminfo placed in internal storage with name "oeminfo.img"
adb shell
su
dd if=/sdcard/oeminfo.img of=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo
Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>adb shell
HWANE:/ $ su
HWANE:/ # dd if=/sdcard/oeminfo.img of=/dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name/oeminfo

HWANE:/ #
After oeminfo you have to flash a full firmware, dload package should be the best choice.
Search on this site https://androidhost.ru/search.html
Use this for searching MATE 20 LITE SNE-LX1 SNE-L21 and download the latest firmware for Europe C432
Note, be careful with dd command...
Before flash new oeminfo, place on the external SDCard the dload folder with full firmware, and you are ready to proceed with SW upgrade.
I did it all this steps on my device, your device is different, so do it at your own risk.
In the previous post you used a wrong command, you used "-1" instead of "-l"
To avoid mistakes use copy/past instead of.
So repeat again:
Code:
HWANE:/ $[B] ls -l /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name[/B]/

Your device is dual SIM?
You need root to get oeminfo from him, or a TWRP installed.
Root should be easier with Magisk help.
But the show begins after you unlook bootloader.
What is your status right now?

Yup. Rocking a Dual sim version.
It Is the only Mate 20 Lite version In Denmark :-/
Haven't unlocked the bootloader, due to Huawei removing the request page.
I am thinking about rooting, but I don't really know the benefits of it :-/

To have the bootloader unlocked you have to payed, unfortunately is around 30 eur.
"Unlock bootloader" to install custom ROM is the most important benefit that I can remember, so far I see none, with Huawei politic to stopped provide codes , what I see is developers moving to another brands.

Yeah. I see that almost all Custom Rom devs. Is moving away from HUAWEI due to this new stupid policy.
Right after I bought my phone, I found out about this....
Also heard some rumors, that the newest updates, Is trying to make modded phones unbootable from a John Wu tweet.
