Forgot mi Id - Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hello peeps last night wanted to give to a friend my old mi max 2 I wanted to erase everything but requested for my mi password that password as I have 2 years use the phone I didn't remember it so I made the mistake and reboot in recovery mad deleted data now once the phone is opening show me the screen to put my password for that account now the problem again is I forgot the password and I had registered with my phone number only not email that number is inactive and I have a new one in my mi note 10 pro but when I put to send me the new password to my new number it says that this number is already registered as I register with that my new device as I already said I've tried mi unlock to bypass the ID but no luck as in a second it pop out again the login screen. What I can do in that case? Also contacted xiaomi and told me some ways to try the ways that already did and they can't help me unlock it even if I send to them my imei

use miraclebox to bypass it.

Unlocking bootloader safely
When I got permission I tried to unlock IT same day and IT just failed but at 10 days later IT was Unlocked just clicking the unlock button On mi bootloader unlocker, as I have'nt mentioned I was using windows 7 ultimate, Latest bootloader unlocker tool, and Minimal adb drivers and I have'nt got any issues regarding device detection and the time IT took to unlock was just 10 seconds. I have heard that windows 10 have some issues using the adb drivers. Hope I have helped u in some way
How do i apply for the unlock permission. I'm not able to find a link.
And when trying to unlock, the tool says device not supported by mi unlock.

I have successfully unlocked 1 RN3, 2 RN4 and 1 redmi 4 using the same account but at different times...u need permission only once.
Just take any account which has unlock permission, use it to login from your phone and unlock tool. Remember to sync the phone in Mi Account. If it doesnt sync properly it wont unlock. After syncing try to unlock, if it doesnt, wait a day or two...it should unlock.

Hmm... I dont know if this will work or not, but give it a try.
Log out form ur mi account from ALL the browsers, clear their cache, history, logins and everything. Then change ur ip/use proxy and try requesting for unlock.
Btw have u requested for unlock before? If yes then it happens...happened with me too... Dont know exactly why this happens...

Anyone unlocked bootloader of Mi Max 2?

Hi Guys
The unlocker tool tells me, this device is not supported. There isn't a way to even make an application for unlock.Mi max worked flawlessly.

You missed something. Have You applied at all?
Unlocked mine without any problems. Previously unlocked two redmi note 3 sd phones.
I've unlocked mine without any problems. Have you made an account with Mi? Have you opened the required setting in development section?

I made account with Mi,logged in with same account, ensured find device option works, enabled unlock bootloader in developer options, logged into mi cloud and ensured the deice is only one and online, rebooted into fastboot mode, logged into mi unlock with phone number, and it says checking your mi account for permissions and then your device isnt supported by mi unlock. I tried all versions of unlock with same results.

Log in to your phone with your account .. enable find my device.
Go to the link attached to the pc:

Hit Find device ... when it finds (detects)
Then run the miflash_unlock-en-2.3.803.10 tool as admin on your computer .. and you still know how to do it .. Fastboot mode and continue
It should work
Note: If you can not unlock ... do the same procedure. Repeat the request to unlock the bootloader.
In the following way:
Click on settings > About Phone> Tap on MIUI Version for 4-5 Times and you will see a Toast message saying that you have enable developer mode.
On settings, select Additional Settings

Tap the button : Add account and device

Thanks for suggestions. I tried the way you suggested. Still it is saying same account not bound. I was very happy when I bought it, Well not so happy now. There's not a unofficial way either.
Finally managed mine and got TWRP,Magisk and Xposed installed.
How did you manage it? simply wait and try again and again?

How did you manage to get it done, could you please share, I'm having the same not supported problem with my Mi Max 2, I'm using the same Mi Account that I used to unlock my Redmi Note 3 (Dec 2016).
What ROM you used? what Steps you took, thanks in advance for sharing.
Hey mate,
Start with unlocking bootloader. Apply for permission, wait few days then use mi tool to unlock. Were you able to make application via website? Chrome would redirect from application page, so it wasnt visible. Had to use Internet explorer and received permission few hours later. However could only unlock it 7 days later. Then use stupdroid to install TWRP, and you are good to go.

Try an old version of Mi Unlock to unlock the bootloader. If that doesn’t work, wait for 5 days and try again and it should allow you to unlock.

It is worth a try. Yes the unlock is linked to the account but i have seen people also unlocking it without binding the account. EDL flashing isn’t that easy because it needs an Authorized EDL Account to be able to flash the firmware. You can’t just put the device in EDL and carry on with the flash. So its worth a try rather than just sitting helpless.
Make a new MI account if you don’t have it till now. Hook your device and put it in fastboot mode and try the unlock with the tool. You might get an unlock instantaneously or for worst it might ask you to wait for 168hrs before you can unlock.

You will probably need too open the back panel to enter EDL mode, then you'll need someone with an authorised account to flash for you. A little bit of digging on these forums and you'll see many others have done this. There's a Russian guy with an authorised account, you'll find his contact details easily in the posts about this.
You'll need to pay him about $20 and you'll need to give him remote control access to your PC in order to flash an official ROM for you.

Do you have access to a hairdryer? That seems to be a common tool people have used. You might need to risk something sharp to get the first opening, but then something like a credit card could be used to pry it open more. There are a couple of posts on how others have done this without proper phone repair tools.

Question Cant add more accounts to this SIM Card

Hello
So, i wanted to unlock my phone's bootloader so that i can use pixel experience (i hate MIUI, atleast MIUI13) and i created an account with my phone number and added account under Mi Unlock Status, but then for some reason i deleted that account. Then i created another account with the same number and when i go to add it under Mi Unlock Status, it says "Cant add more accounts to this SIM Card. Try another" idk what that "another" thing is to try. How can i fix this problem? Can waiting for 7 days or even 30 days fix this problem? I have seen some people say they changed SIMs, but i cant do so. Also there are not many threads on this topic which would help me. I dont mind on waiting (better late than never). Please help me fix this.
Thanks )

Question Redmi note 10 5g mi account problem

I have a Redmi note 10 5g which I performed a factory reset - it booted back to the mi account screen and asked for password - the password was forgotten and the phone number is not accessible anymore because the sim is lost.
I have gone to the xiaomi site and submitted a request for a code with the information they asked for , but after 3 days have not received a SMS or any other contact from them.
the phone displays the unlocked symbol on boot
I can get the phone to fastboot and connect to windows computer running MiFlash and it will see the phone
can I just flash a 3rd party ROM with MiFlash and bypass/delete all the xiaomi account nonsense ?
or what are my options as a way forward to get this phone to a usable state ?
I have been reading the forums and lots of people seem to have had similar problems with their mi account but I have not seen a definitive solution posted that seems correct or else there is a lot of steps etc that seem to be jumbled or not explained neatly.
thanks for any help
There is an official removal of the account

You need to remove the Mi Lock via a paid server
by unlocking code (Offical remove)
ok - where do I find these paid server and how much do they cost ?

Unfortunately, unlocking will cost a lot
You need worldwide service
is this really the only answer ? why when I have access to the hardware , I am unable to do what I want ?
I own the phone , but it is basically a brick - I will attempt to get the phone number back with a new sim card from the teleco

If you restore the SIM card
Easily your device can be unlocked
I managed to get the phone number back from the telco and activated the phone
with the SIM card , I inserted into another phone and went to the xiaomi site , used the phone number and said I had lost the password - they sent me a confirmation code via SMS which then allowed me to change the password and then activate the phone with that password.
I started up the phone and went to settings -> Xiaomi account which showed that account was signed in on the phone
then I signed out of the account
this whole exercise has been a bit of an eye opener and makes me want to get a ASOP ROM onto the xiaomi phone as soon as possible - they make nice hardware for the prices , but this OS and the seeming need to access your data is a bad problem
many countries in the world have people who need to watch every bit of data their phone uses because of the cost , but so many of these companies have no qualms about just using a lot of it for their own gain - it is just immoral

Yes, since you have an unlocked bootloader and fastboot, you should be able to flash a 3rd party ROM.
