I want to use only tele camera when taking photos without live focus mode. How can I do it?
Well, just point, press 2x and shoot
Dear all,
I noticed that I cannot use any third party app to capture RAW photos. I tried Footej Camera, Open Camera, Adobe Lightroom, VSCO, Lumio Cam and everything I could find. I cannot enable raw photos with any of them. Footej support contacted me and told me that they can try to find a workaround from the log file I generated, it seems that this phone does not support Android API. Do you guys have any knowledge about this?
The only app that seems to record some sort of RAW file is Bacon Cam, but this does not have support for the telephoto lens, and all the raw photos with zoom, are actually cropped from the 40 mpx sensor.
Freedcam can do raw: https://t.me/joinchat/BdeA6xCXJ-DvG0wT_kjW-A
Even the stock camera app will not give you a raw file from the telephoto lens. You can't use zoom when you enable RAW in Pro mode.
Thank you, I tried Freed am and unfortunately it does not let me use raw mode, only jpeg.
Hi All
I've been playing with Open Camera this morning and went into Settings/About. OC reports there are 2 cameras on the phone and lists the 40MP rear sensor and the selfie camera.
I thought this might be an OC issue, but then I downloaded a couple of Camera2 probe apps and they all report the same.
It would be nice to be able to select the 20MP mono camera or the 8 MP telephoto camera.
Has anyone come across the same issue?
Cheers
Steve
Hi guys! I tried some Gcam ports and after installing a conf file in the xcam6_beta5 app, my 48mpx camera just stopped working even in the stock app. Other Gcam apps can use it but it just magnifies the image and produces zero-quality pictures. What is more, when I open the stock app and go to the 48mp option, it uses the telephoto lens and captures a 6000x8000 resolution picture. I can't imagine how possible is this. Can anyone suggest some solution? FYI, the other two lenses work fine.
Edit: Just found out that standard portrait mode uses 48mpx camera but magnified like 3 times in the stock app.
I am building an Android app that has a video recording feature. I want to have access to the ultrawide camera. CameraManager#getCameraIdList only gives me 2 camera IDs, front and back. And getPhysicalCameraIds() on the front CameraCharacteristics is EMPTY! Since the GCam port for ROG Phone II has the ability to switch to the ultrawide camera so I know it must be possible. Anyone know how to choose the ultrawide camera in your own app on ROG Phone II?
