So I ended up in the brick wagon, basically doing this:
- Tencent CN version converted to WW by vendor.
- Rooted / uptaded from root folder
- Changed fingerprint to WW
- Decided things got buggy here and there, did a factory reset
-> Slot _b is unbootable / Bricked
I tried flashall_AFT.cmd from both WW and CN raw firmware, both by clicking and command prompt, nothing happens (windows either disappear or stay still).
Phone does still answer to .\fastboot devices with powershell cmd.
Could somebody put me out of my misery ?

This happens when we root the phone.. so basically when you factory reset, phone tries to boot to recovery and doesn't work.. this is a known issue.. just get stock boot image for your versionand flash it using fastboot...
Thanks a lot !

Did it work OK flashing boot stock?
Yes thank you, phone is alive again.
Wish I could use the raw firmware flash method though, ADB works but flashall_AFT.cmd does nothing (not seemingly frozen while doing its job, just nothing).

Does the cmd window pop up briefly and go again? If so, try removing or deleting the original zip from that folder, the one with the same name as the raw. Cmd gets confused /conflicts and crashes out...
Thanks for your help dude, yes that's what it does. I already done most known tricks to solve that issue to no avail. Might try on another PC now.

i have same problem too.
Experienced that as well at first, flashall_aft.cmd not doing at all. But I got it work by putting the extracted raw folder to the root of my C: in my pc.

No, you need to update Magisk after ota or flash root boot
I can't flash the stock boot image. It says my phone is locked. I tried relocking the bootloader and it gave me the Slot_b is unbootable message as well. Any advice?

Nevermind, I figured out I could switch the boot image over to Slot_a and that worked for me.
Just flash the raw full rom with bootloader by pc

Download the RAW firmware version you want, then;
'Extract the file on your PC. Boot the phone into fastboot mode (hold volume up then press and hold power button, Fastboot mode is the 1st screen you come across, the one with the options to Start, boot to recovery, etc...) connect to the side port and run "flashall_AFT.cmd" wait for it to finish and the phone will restart itself (it will take a number of minutes to complete, with the cmd window open all the time. If the cmd window only flashes up and closes down, then check the rest of the notes with this step).
NOTE: you need to remove or delete the original zip from the raw folder once extracted as it confuses the Flashall_AFT.cmd with the raw rom and zip having the same name. Also, it can help to extract to the root of C drive.'

and now i have

and this loop
my english is very bad
bye
I have this problem too!!! could you fix it? it happened to me when I did this too
try to hard reset
I had the same problem after trying to flash the TWRP custom recovery on my Redmi 9 (lancelot).
In case that someone still needs to know, following was my solution:
I needed to flash back the stock firmware on my device with SP Flashtool. For that you of course need to download the firmware and take the scatter file of it. Then grab a custom Download Agent File and an authentication file from the web.
Also you need the MTK_bypass utility with the right payloads from the github website (Redmi 9 is MT6768, just take the master collection payload, it worked for me). You need that tool to disable the DAA und SLA protection on your Redmi 9. (Except you have access to an authorized Mi account of course, then you can just flash it with Mi Flash tool, but usually, one doesn't have that.) Follow the instruction on the web, there are detailed ways how to install the right drivers and run the bypass utility correctly.
In my case I had to format my device with the automatic flashing in SP Flashtool before the flashing worked, but that was it - my Redmi 9 is working fine again.
thank you for the input as it really cleared my head after i took a break at trying to get this thing out of a bootloop.
this does work, using sp flash tool but the device will auto detect through usb and you've gotta have the scatter file and firmware for the device. after using the brom utility don't restart the phone, you will reverse the process.

I had the same issue, I was not able to enter neither recovery mode nor fastboot mode. But you are able to enter EDL mode, the Emergency Download Mode - in my case at least. From there I was able to unbrick the phone. I was able to enter EDL mode without opening the phone and using test points. Turning the phone on and connecting it to the computer in the same second as the screen goes on let me enter for some seconds, it was enough to let me run the tool to bypass the DAA and SLA protection of the device. Then I was able to flash back the stock firmware with SP-Flashtool. In my case I needed to format the device before the flashing worked, but then it booted back up alive.
Just be aware you probably need to install the proper drivers first to bypass DAA and SLA protection with LibUSB.

Before i start many thanks to Aman - thanks for being extremely patient and helping out no end.!!
So, first and foremost i followed the instructions in the rooting guide and for me it went wrong. I wasnt sure i was doing it correctly but like following a **** satnav i blindly carried on and soft bricked it.....not to worry im all good again - this was my 3 week journey. I thought it would be good to put down my experience as while ive rooted a lot of phones in my life at the same time i dont do them that often so i always find that im always... "learning again".
Followed the instructions on the other thread and downloaded the image, extracted it using the payload dumper - that itself was a pain in the arse as i couldnt get the linked one running - spent a good few afternoons, gave up and found one called "payload dumper 2021" which gave me a convenient exe to run and that worked fine (hurdle one over) - im trying to find the link to it so i can post it here but i cant...if i can ill update this thread...
I think this is where i started going wrong...i patched the boot.img from the downloaded os and flashed my phone. I got a black screen after booting (looking like it was dead) but if i held down the power button the reboot window showed up. Tried a wipe of cache etc etc but it didnt change.....not sure what i did after that as it was 3 weeks ago but ended up with a softbricked phone - all it would do on boot was crash dump. i had fastboot and recovery.
I tried the MSM tool on 3 different bits of hardware and none worked. Always hit the Firehose timeout error at 16seconds.
I also tried manually flashing the images but hit an error when i tried to reflash the product and system images....filesystem error.
Cue Enhanced Fastboot

Put the phone into fastbootd and away you go. I actually had a couple of these phones to do so used the Oxygen updater to get the latest version of the os (i got 11.0.11.11EB13BA) - extracted that, patched it with magisk so it was ready to go.
Once i had reflashed the phone - using the enhanced fastboot Aman told me to delete the "cow" paritions first - this was where i was hitting the error manually flashing. Browse to the payload.bin file and it did the rest. Phone rebooted and it was alive again. Back into fastboot to install the patched boot, img (this was taken from 11.0.11.11EB13BA). Once rebooted i installed magisk by copying it over to the phone first and then a straight install.
Reboot the phone again, once booted with usb debugging on i then launched "adb shell" then type "su" - the request for root appeared on the phone and im done,
Not sure what the legalities of sharing the above OS image and the patched boot.img that goes with it are.
If anyone gets stuck ill try my best to help as others have helped me.

Hi, seems like I have managed to brick my phone as well that was received this morning only and I proceeded to root it. Tried the MSM Tool, but that doesn't seem to be detecting the OnePlus Nord CE 5g, device manager showed my phone as QUSB_BULK_CID:... which wasn't correct so installed the QualComm USB Drivers from here after which the phone was detected as QDLoader9008..However, that doesn't seem to have helped as well as there was absolutely nothing happening in the MSM Tool
Am wondering what can be done to revive the phone?

Well, lets try.....first and foremost you need a rom and you need the enhanced fastboot software.....ill see if i can find a link...
Try this version....
[TOOL][Windows] Fastboot Enhance [Payload Dumper & Image Flasher]
Fastboot Enhance What it can do? - Show fastboot vars - Switch between fastbootd & bootloader - Switch between A & B slot - Flash Payload.bin in fastbootd - Flash images - Erase partitions - Delete logical partitions - Create logical partitions...
forum.xda-developers.com
Then, get it into fastbootd mode....
Once youre in fastbootd mode - can be fiddly....get the latest plaform tools download and type in fastboot reboot fastboot while your in standard fastboot mode (with the green "start" at the top left)
youll know when your in fastbootd as it looks like recovery but says fastbootd in the middle of the screen....launch the fastboot enhanced and the click on the load payload.bin file from the extracted .zip file of the rom you downloaded - i got 11.0.11.11 using the oxygen downloader app but if youre phone is bricked im not sure than can be loaded up on another phone....

I had already tried the Fastboot Enhance v1.3.0, but that doesn't seem to detect my phone either. Wondering if I have lost ADB etc and hence the phone is not being detected anymore? And that is the first thing that needs to be fixed somehow?

It's completely black, I was earlier able to get into Recovery Mode, but that's no longer happening as well - Did manage to somehow come into Safe Mode (shown at the bottom left corner) earlier but at the moment its completely black.
ok. if you hold the power and up volume down without the usb cable in to hard reset it then when it vibrates the once hold the down volume button down (hopefully that should get it into standard fastboot mode)

somehow not able to get into fastboot mode anymore, it shows the standard warning about bootloader being unlocked and then proceeds to attempt to boot with red dot in between and smaller white circles revolving around it...this goes into an endless loop - the only way to come out of that is by long pressing the power button which brings up the option to either "power off" or "restart"
and the story repeats :-(
Well, if its any consolation yours is in better shape than mine was....youve still got a sort of working os.....! mine just went to crash dump mode....99% sure youve still got fastboot its just gonna be a bit of a faff getting into that mode....definately the way youre doing the key pressing/holding...
It all started when I decided to unroot my phone. First I backed up my data. Second, I formatted the cell phone directly through its settings. So root was removed. So far, everything was fine. The cell phone turned on normally and I did the initial settings. After that I decided to lock the bootloader again. I put the phone in bootloader mode and gave the command to block (Fasboot flashing lock). A confirmation message appeared on my cell phone and I accepted it. After that the phone was like this... Blinking at boot. I can't enter fasboot or bootloader through the buttons.
Heelp please!!

Pretty sure factory resetting the phone from the settings doesn't remove root. You root by flashing a patched boot.img but the factory reset doesn't touch the boot partition at all. So you locked the bootloader and now the phone won't boot because the boot partition is not signed by the OEM. If you can't enter bootloader mode you only have two solution.
- Flashing in EDL mode through MSM tool. However, since this phone OnePlus requires an authorized account to flash through MSM tool. You can try requesting a remote session through the official support (probably they won't do it) or find someone on telegram or somewhere else who sells tokens for MSM tool.
- Shipping the phone to OnePlus for repair or going to a local repair center of your choice.
Did you complete unninstalled magisk or just have formatted?

I just remembered that with this phone you can't boot into EDL mode by holding the volume buttons like in the old days. To get into EDL mode you would need to disassemble the phone and short two pins and I immagine you don't want to do that at all. There are some special cables that can boot Qualcomm phones into EDL, although I don't know if they work with the OP10 Pro specifically.
I think your best option at the moment is to send it for repair to OnePlus or to whichever repair center you prefer.

When you can not boot to booloader (fastboot) or fastbootd you need a Services Center (for flash over edl with msm tool )
I got it. Payed 15$ and a guy from vietnam solved the problem for me.

I would have installed the update through the settings. I don't think switching slot can help this time. The only thing I think you can do is extract the payload.bin with payload-dumper-go and flash the partitions manually through fastboot but this procedure doesn't have a 100% success rate. If you write me the partitions you extracted from the payload.bin I can write you the commands to do as I'm not used to the partition layout of the 10 Pro specifically.
TheNewHEROBRINE said:

MIFLASHPRO PROCEDURE
The MiFlashPro procedure is easier (and the easiest to recover your hard-bricked device), as you do not require the installation of any other external program (like python used in MTK Client for example (expect, of course, the drivers)
MTK Client is a more complicated installation as it requires the installation of Python and Git, which can be harder to use commands for people that don't or never used Python and Git, but gives you access to lock and unlock your bootloader with no 168 HOURS wait
In general, newer MTK chips are really easy to unbrick, even from a hard-brick, as it does not requires to open your phone and test-point it (especially this forum MTK 6833), compared to Snapdragon chips, which is the opposite and even costs 25€ to have a "Authorized Mi EDL Account". Keeping that out of the way, lets get to it
FIRST OF ALLInstall the MTK Preload/BROM VCOM drivers for your computer to recognise your phone in BROM state and follow the instructions given in the installation. Attached at the end of the thread
And download any MIUI ROM version from any trusted website (my favorite is mifirm.net, it downloads faster)
INSTALL MIFLASHPRO Attached at the end of the threadThere's two different Mi Flash(es). Mi Flash and Mi Flash Pro.
Mi Flash is only used to flash MIUI in your device, nothing special, probably everyone knows about it.
Then theres Mi Flash Pro (MFP for short). It's an All-In-One (AIO) tool, as shown below.

We got the some tabs, but let's focus on the "Recovery" and "SP Flash" tabs, as we do not need the other ones.
Recovery - Recovery flashing. If your device is only booting to Recovery (which can be possible, since someone here has got a case that couldn't boot to fastboot neither system, only to recovery), by writing both your device IMEI's on the spaces, then clicking "Refurbish" leads to a more advanced factory reset than just wiping your data normally. This can get you out of recovery and go back to MIUI however. If it's not your problem, then follow on.
SP Flash - The famous SP Tool. SP Tool is a easy tool to use, may be confusing at first, but then first time a charm and you can get used to it, easily, or after some times. SP Tool is famous for recovering many MTK devices from hard bricks, and thats what we will use to recover your device.
OPEN SP FLASH UP
Here you are, greeted by a nice interface. There's nothing, but I will explain you to it.
There's 3 blank spaces, called Download-agent (DA for short), Scatter-loading file & Authentication file.
DA is to have access to the devices internal storage to be able to do the flashing;
Scatter-loading shows you the mapping of the partitions it will flash on the MTK;
Authentication is just the MTK protection for newer mtk devices that you need to be able to flash (*its also used to successfully flash, but you still need to bypass it somehow, as you require a Mi Account able to do BROM flashing, see below as you follow the thread)
Now, fill the blanks up:
To find the DA, it is always in the MiFlashPro installation location, so ...\MiFlashPro\. Access that folder, open up "\SP_Flash_Tool_V5" folder, and you will find a file named "MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin", use it as the DA.
To find the authentication file, its located in the same path of the DA, so ...\MiFlashPro\SP_Flash_Tool_V5\, and you will find a file named "auth_sv5.auth", use it as the authentication file.
Finally, to find the scatter-loading file, it is in the ROM folder you extracted, so ...\camellian_xx_xxxx_images_VXX.X.X.X.xxxxx_XXXXXXXX.XXXX.XX_XX.X_xxxxxl\ (the X's represent your MIUI version you downloaded). The scatter-loading file is always located in the folder "images", so \camellian...\images\, and you will find a text file named "MT6833_Android_scatter.txt", use it as the scatter-loading file.
Done?
Don't flash it yet, as we need to fix a issue with "combo_partisize_check".
Open up the scatter-loading file with Notepad or any text editor, so the text file named "MT6833_Android_scatter.txt".
Now, use the locate function to locate the following:
combo_partsize_check: true
After finding the first one, replace the "true" to "false", and the following one, and so on, till every line of them is set to "false" and isn't able to locate any set as "true".
We are done and finished setting up SP Tool!*Now, we need to bypass the Authentication of our device. Why? Just as the Snapdragon chips, Xiaomi has also implemented a security layer where you need to log in with a "Authorized Mi Flashing Account", which costs money (generally only on Snapdragon devices, I am not sure if we can find any paying service for it), which is really easy to bypass due to BROM.
Download the file "mtkauthbypass.zip" attached in the thread below.
Extract it, open it up, and it looks like this:
Now, press the "Disable Auth" button, you will have 60 seconds to get ready, get your hands on the phone and press at the same time the VOL+, VOL- & POWER button, till you see prompt appearing in the blank space. Should be similiar as this:
(thanks to chopwell20 for image)
After that, immediately open up SP Tool, and press "Download" as fast as possible.
Let it flash, from 5 to 15 minutes.
After it finishes, a blue window with a checkmark appears, disconnect your phone, and just press down the POWER button to boot it up.
And thats it! You have recovered your phone! If you have any issues or it didn't work out, please reply so someone can help you out
(Simplified image to understand better without explanation)
ISSUESCONNECTIONS ISSUE is completely normal!
It is when you try to connect your phone in BROM mode to your computer, but it always shows the error symbol over it.
From what it seems, this should be a issue from the phone and not your computer or the drivers itself
It doesn't mean that it makes you unable to unbrick it, but a lot of patience, as with this issue you will require to keep trying over and over again to bypass it.
So, if you can't bypass the Auth, this is probably it. Just keep trying and trying over again till you get it. There's (probably) no workaround rather than having patience to do it
(This also happens to me every time, so I consider it normal, and with some users such as bg0169 having this same issue, I just considered this was important to address it out, but if you think its not this issue, then reply, better safe than sorry)
I made this thread due to some users bricking their devices, and for every new user that hard-bricks their device to hopefully make this to help them
Amazing guide.
Thanks. and missing screenshot where Authbypass gives you prompt.
SP Flash Tool gives error on "gz.img, rescue.img and cust.img" because verified boot is enabled.
Is it possible to bypass it? or how do i disable verified boot without fastboot access? is my device completely dead?

yes, it is bypassable.
you just go to the mapping, and disable the checks on those partitions. it will still boot normally, afterwards, if you want (which is not necessary), you can reflash your phone via fastboot and miflash for those partitions to be flashed correctly

Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, my phone won't boot when i exclude those images. No vibration, no black screen and no fastboot/recovery.
The another bypass method which requires using readback also doesn't work. I think it's probably because mt6833 is a newer chipset compared to the ones used in tutorials.
Any other advices please? I really don't want to pay money just to use MIUI again.

Could you give me more details about the another bypass? I dont understand what do you mean.
If that did not work, then I suppose your bootloader is locked
Please download the engineering ROM > https://mifirm.net/model/camellian.ttt#files;
and flash it via SP Tool like you did to MIUI, then boot to fastboot and flash an EEA image > https://mifirm.net/model/camellian.ttt#eea (if i am correct, EEA images are allowed to be flashed even with locked bootloader.)
If you do get the same verified boot error, disable those partitions to flash once again
If these methods didnt work, you need to install MTK Client to unlock your bootloader and try to reflash via fastboot or SP Tool

My father took my phone and paid to repair it. Well, i guess thats a way to fix things...
Anyway, the other method i was talking about was the one using PGPT image and using Hex editor blah blah blah.
By the way, now my phone works but it seems NVRAM was deleted. My IMEI doesn't show up. Can i recover it without using temporary methods?

I dont know how to recover IMEIs since I always back my NVRAM and write it via MTK Client.
You can try this guide:
Thread '[QUICK GUIDE][HOW TO] Unbrick Camellia/Camellian and restore IMEI' https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/quick-guide-how-to-unbrick-camellia-camellian-and-restore-imei.4502077/
Alternatively, which I am not sure, try looking up a IMEI writer program somewhere in the web for MTK

That is weird, are you able to boot into recovery or fastboot?
Did you get any verified boot error?
Did you use the right firmware? If so, what version (MIUI version (Indonesia/EEA/MI, etc.), Android version and Codename)? If you used the latest one (MIUI 14 Android 13) please try MIUI 13 Android 12 or lower

I use MIUI 12 global version, and can't access fastboot or recovery mode, it didn't give me any error either, and I think I use the correct firmware version.

It doesn't work, I think the problem is that the boot mode is bootloader instead of bootrom.

if your phone is displaying the 3 boot modes in the edge, then yes you are in bootloader*
you should restart to any mode, then right as it reboots you shall boot into BROM immediately and redo the same process
I think that when I press the volume up (+), volume down (-), and power buttons on my phone simultaneously, it doesn't seem to recognize any device. However, when I only press the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons, it recognizes a MTK Preloader USB VCOM port, and during the process, it seems to attempt to connect twice when "Disable Auth" is enabled. In addition, the BootMode displays as BootLoader
