I have rooted my S10+ but will restore it to stock firrmware and lock the bootloader again. After that, will I be able to update the phone via OTA?
I'm seeing conflicting information on this. Does anybody know for sure?
I don't see why not.
yes you will be able to get ota updates after flashing stock firmware.
No, just no, once knox is tripped you can't get official ota updates... But what you can do is download the firmware and flash it via odin (keep in mind to use HOME_CSC to keep your data)

I still have the original stock Gingerbread ROM. If I update to stock Jellybean via Odin, will I still receive OTA updates? Or would I need to use Kies to guarantee future OTA updates?

if you update the stock rom without root.. u will still get update OTA.. it doesn't matter if u use kies or odin for that.. just keep the stock rom and do not root for OTA update
Thanks for the reply. Do I need to flash the rom version which would usually be sent OTA by my network to receive future updates? If so, which version do I need for T-Mobile (EE) UK?
Can i get the ota update simply or will it brick my rooted phone
Secondly if i delete all the unnecessary apps and unroot my phone then can ota update the phone and new Android version will be there without bloatware
Ps when can i expect 6.0 update

If you are rooted right now you will not be able to get ota updates. The only way to update is to go through odin and update or flash a rom with the newest update or unroot your device and then update.
I'd like to answer your second question but I would like some clarification on the question.
And the update to 6.0 could be from a couple of weeks to a couple of months or even longer. It depends on you carrier and samsung of course.
The phone is the international variant 920c dual sim
I have not rooted yet but will love to do it.
If marshmalow is near them i will wait
No rooted phones of Samsung will receive OTA updates. Unroot by flashing the stock rom with ODIN and look for OTA. Or else, download latest stock firmware from samobile or similar websites and update with ODIN. Then re-root if you want.
I just managed to update to PA2 from OI5, and there is a root method available.
I have three questions:
Can I root my S5(AT&T) without tripping KNOX?
If I do root, can I update to the latest Marshmallow via Odin and keep root?
Can I "debrand" my S5 by flashing a stock S5 firmware via Odin (remove AT&T bloatware and bootlogo)? {http://www.naldotech.com/remove-carr...nded-firmware/ this link says you can but does not provide a download link}
Thanks.
Hm
I believe the root version existing does not trip knox as i'm still at 0x0.
No, but @AptLogic has been trying, never say never.
Once you get root, you can remove the AT&T logo by modifying some firmware files.
A quick search of the forums should give you the answers but here's a reference for the boot logo

I used the betas in this thread, so I of course flashed the firmware recommended this one via Odin, now I don't know if I will receive OTA updates or not? how to check for it and make sure everything is stock and normal again? should I download my country's firmware from Sammobile and flash it via Odin then wait for updates?

I think if you go to the native update settings in settings and just do a manual check that should let you know if the system works

if the same ota is released for your csc, then yes
Hello! I have an S10 but it's CSC is Austria. Since I live in Bulgaria, I want to flash stock firmware through Odin. Am I going to still get OTA updates when they are available for my country and is it possible that my data isn't wiped?
EDIT: I flashed the firmware, everything went fine and most importantly I kept my data!
Why bother with risky processes , at some point or time , your phone will receive the OTA update.......
yes you can pass the csc for bulgaria without problems just to not lose your data you will pass the HOME _CSC.
receive the OTA update normally...
