I've got a zoom H4n which is great for recording audio. It puts out it's signal as a 3.5mm style cable.

Is it possible to plug this into the SGS using it's headphones output? I think you can get 4 pin ring cables or something similar which are used on the mic/headset combinations for their mic. Maybe some explanation there will help me.
the original earphone is not the one that i want. the music controller is good, but my ears suffer a lot due to the giant top size. i cut it and combine it with a 3.5mm extended-line, so i can use my own 3.5mm earphone instead, which is much better and comfortable.

Has anyone with the VZW note 2 used one of these adapters instead of hacking up their phone and soldering in connectors? Just looking for some input on if this works well or not? Thanks.

I'm about to replace the port to hopefully get my mic working again, but when I should install it I noticed that one of the connectors is missing on the A board. And the F-board is nowhere to find. Anybody knows what this connector is for, I'll guess it's for an antenna for a different band?

Ok, I just transplanted the circuit from the old F-board over, and everything seems to work ok, and the mic is working again!
