[Magisk] MagiskHide not appearing on Magisk Manager - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

MagiskHide doesn't appear in the side menu of the application. I don't know if I installed Magisk wrong or if it's a problem with the Pixel Experience ROM.
Any recommendation?
Thank you

Emirates App - Not working with XPOSED

So I know this issue is because of XPOSED, but I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this issue. Basically the Emirates App just blacks out or crashes when XPOSED is installed, I tried uninstalling XPOSED on Magisk and the app worked again, but as soon as I installed XPOSED again it just stopped working. Can anyone confirm this? This issue didn't exist about half a year ago.
So no one else?

Oh thank god, so it isn't just me then, thought my Phone was bugged in some way (and/or Tablet).
@topjohnwu This seems to be an issue with Magisk Hiding, could you take a look at it?

Magisk can't hide Xposed. The best you can do is to disable the Xposed Magisk module when you need to use the app, or try with the No Device Check Xposed module (it can fake a ctsProfile pass).

Oh I didn't know about the last module you mentioned there, awesome. But the problem isn't just XPOSED, it is Magisk as well, as long as I have them installed, the Emirates App doesn't work for me. Does it work for you? (Try with/without XPOSED if you can to confirm for me, need more testers).

If it's an issue with Magisk you're in the wrong forum.
And I can start the app just fine with Magisk installed, without even adding it to MagiskHide or hiding the Manager. I don't think it has an issue with Magisk.
I'm not going to install Xposed just for that...

Dolby Atomos vs Viper4Android

Hi, i was wondering which one is superior and if so why?
I see people installng both , isn't one of them enough? Or am i missing something here.
I currently have atmos installed on nitrogen oreo 8.1 on shamu.
Thanks
I use both on my OP3T and they work quite well together.
Edit: and since the latest update to the Unity V4A Magisk module, also on my Nexus 6.

Well i installed Dolby Atomos via Magisk , using Magisk module . If you are rooted and have Magisk installed you can search for it and install it.

Barclays banking app

I have installed the canary build as suggested by other people then used magiskhide to hide the banking app. I have also hidden the magisk app but still detects root.
Any other ideas?
Anyone got the barclays app working?
You need to hide magisk manager too inside its options. When you hide it (the option to hide is inside Magisk Manager) the app will be renamed Manager only

Add Rootbeer to the Hide list as well, so you know for sure that MagiskHide is working as it should. If MagiskHide works all checkmarks should be green.

@joluke They already have, as stated in the OP and it's also seen in the screenshot of the Manager.

Does it mean Paypal and Barclays app won't work because they see the root? I wanted to root my OP6 but didn't want to be in same position. I need either Paypal and Barclays app working... Thank you

There you go... It's perfectly possible that's what the app is looking for. Remove any previously installed busybox (some systems comes with it preinstalled), and if you need it install from the Manager downloads instead.
Tried to remove it but can't find it, I reinstalled over it but still showing red cross

Disable the busybox module and reboot. After that, type which busybox in terminal and you'll find where it's located.
I deleted it from the sbin but after reboot it came back still red cross on the busybox section

In other words it's a part of your system and you won't be able to use the app until you figure that out (I've tested Barclays and Magisk can hide from it just fine). Could be the kernel that's installing it, as an example. If you're using a custom ROM and/or a custom kernel, ask for advice there.
And why the double posting in the general thread? As you see your just getting the same answers, and also adding noise...

Hi I'm still stuck. OP6, SmurfKernel and xXx Rom. Before the Rom, the Barclays app was working fine. After that when I open it, it recognizer that the device is rooted. I've notice the Rom installed BusyBox... Àny idea on how to make it work again? Thank you

Sounds like it's the ROM then. And, Busybox would be a likely suspect. I'd start by removing it...
Any news? Did you manage to understand if it's the rom giving you the problem?

This isn't phone specific. It's just the way magisk works now. The magisk github change log explains why
