Is anyone able to set an alarm with a 3rd party alarm clock app using google assistant? At one time this worked fine. It only allows me to use the stock clock app, even if I disable clock app it gives me a toast message saying "app not installed". But if I open google app and use voice search I am able to use a 3rd party alarm fine. I can't depend on clock app as I am a deep sleeper and it's too easy to dismiss the stock alarm. Any ideas?

I am on rooted 1.1 stock. I am not sure which alarm app I downloaded and played with but I currently do not have any alarm apps installed on my NC. However, while configuring any clock widget when the option to display the next alarm widget is chosen, I see the next alarm time set to 00:16AM. Also, the alarm never goes off at this time and just keeps resetting itself to the next day. Any idea how I can fix this next alarm error?

Fixing Telegram push notifications problem & third party alarm clock apps not working
When you remove Telegram or your 3d party alarm clock app (e.g. Google Clock) from the list of Recent Apps both stop working altogether (no alarms/no notifications).
What I've done to no avail:
1) Added Telegram/Google Clock app to SafeCenter -> AutoStart Whitelist
2) Disabled "Battery Optimization" for both
3) Added both to SafeCenter "Acceleration Protection List"
4) Disabled "Auto release memory" in SafeCenter.
Nothing helps. This problem is a deal breaker for me. I want my the Recent Apps list to be empty while the above apps keep working. It looks like when you're removing them from recents, they are stopped altogether and no longer run in background.
Add all the related apps to the autostart whitelist

it seem it should be possible to have the next alarm shown on the lock screen but I can't get it to show, did i miss read?
is there a very simple fm radio app out there that doesnt ask crazy permissions? i just want to listen ...

I use NextRadio (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nextradioapp.nextradio). The only permission that it's asked for is Location.
Settings > Lock Screen > Facewidgets. You can toggle Weather, Music Controller, Today's Schedule & Next Alarm widgets.
You have to swipe the clock to get to the widgets, reducing their convience.

going to try that app, i wish there was a lighter/smaller/etc radio app
I am using the alarm clock: Alarm Clock Plus.
When the phone screen is off, the alarm opens full screen so I can interact with it. When the phone is in use, I get a notification bar that I have to click in order to open the alarm clock. I would like to eliminate the notfvication bar. I've checked the settings for the app and am left thinking that it's some feature of the OS. Can someone tell me how to change this functionality?

Have you asked the Alarm Clock Plus developer?
I sent an email, but have heard nothing back yet.
i tested both apps. Given all permissions, autostart,no battery optimization, all notification and so on.
i set up a alarm, now i have an icon and a message in statusbar for next alarm.
So if swipe all open apps away in miui launcher, by swiping long up those apps i mean.
Than is the icon and message in statusbar away and no alarm anymore.
With original Clock there is no problem.
I also testet AmDroid and Alarmy to make them to system apps. It is the same situation.
Any solution or tipps for alarm apps?
