Can anybody with multiple service providers in the US test if the S10 can reconfigure for carrier branding out of the box?
I just received my s20 fe G780F/DS and i cannot find the menu to add cellular plan anywhere!! any idea how to activate the esim menu?
I already own 2 nano sims that I use in my device (S21 Ultra). One of the service providers can convert my sim to an eSim.
I also have a 3rd sim that I use when I travel (when we get back to travel :/ )
My question is: with the eSim installed, can I choose which 2 sims the phone use? dual physical or one physical and one eSim without loosing the settings for the eSim?
You can use esim only instead of sim 2. So it will work either sim1+sim2, or sim1+esim, but it will never work as sim2+esim. However, you will not loose esim data when you deactivate it. You can store many esim plans
How about by flashing new Firmware? What happens then?
i cannnot get 5G with my X3 pro ,
only 4 G +, i have global Version , i am from Austria (Magenta) ,with my iPhone 12 there ist no Problem with 5G, what can i do, regards Nico
Ask your carrier. Your phone might not be yet supported by the carrier when it comes to 5G. Usually carriers support firstly iphones and samsung phones....then over time the compatibility is extended to other phones.
In addition double check if you have 5G enabled:
Settings -> sim cards & mobile data -> choose SIM -> Preferred network type.
You can also get a SIM replacement (even if 5g was working on iphones it might not on other phones due to some SIM incompatibilities)
thank you for your Information
ich found it on Reddit
i have 5G now , I am very happy now
Thanks very much. This helped me, too!!!
I envy you, I am very often in the countryside, father is a farmer. Therefore, my maximum is 4g.

Does it also enable 5G SA (Standalone)?
@nico1885 what did you do to enable 5G?
I have a similar problem, I have a dual sim UK BT + Vodaphone although my issue is with the BT sim (standalone or in dual sim). I can get 5G on the BT sim when I swap the sim in and install the APN, sometime later 5G goes away and 4G is all I can get. Strangely this happens on my Find X2 too, I have no problem with 5G on the (many) phones I have. Vodafone seems to get 5G all the time. The BT sim is 5G ready.
Not sim settings have the 5G/4G/3G setting......but once 5G goes away it doesn't come back until I provoke it by say swapping sim1 to sim2...but it will go away at some time
Does it enable 5G STDNOL???
STDNOL, do you mean SYMBOL?
Yes it does show the 5G symbol for the time 5G is on, then 4G/4G+
5G network can only be enjoyed if it's available in your region. Kindly contact your Mobile Operator to check if 5G is available.
i am oppo user but my country have no sppoted 5G technology: Minecraft
I just bought Galaxy S20 FE 5G UW (SM-G781V) off eBay and it seems I have made a big mistake.
I am on Visible, which is MVNO owned by Verizon. I bought UW version just because I thought it would allow higher speed 5G.
Now I'm facing some issue.
Since this phone is Verizon specific phone, Verizon has customized firmware to force using their apps/services. The biggest thing I miss is Smart Calls. Verizon has removed Smart Calls and installed Call Filter app instead. This app does not even work if you are not on Verizon.
I read it may be possible to ODIN firmware with Spectrum or Comcast one to get it back. I downloaded CHA firmware, yet I do not see any difference. It still has Verizon splash screen and Verizon apps. Did I download wrong firmware? Could please direct me to right firmware if I downloaded wrong one?
I also read changing CSC code might work. However, Verizon has removed ability access *# codes. I found "Hidden Menu Enable Tool", but it does not even detect my phone.
How do I change CSC code on this phone?
