Is it possible to use the OZO microphone for phone calls and other apps? My normal mic isn't working. Is there some setting where I can choose the microphone for third party apps?
Interesting to note that when I connect earphones which don't have mic, the phone switches to OZO audio mic.

I don't know if anyone realized that when you are making video calls or voice calls on fring if you plug your headset (samsung headset with mic) other side can't hear you. Your mic stops working. It has to switch to the mic on the headset but instead none of the mics are working (on phone and on headset). If I remove the headset it works again with phone mic.
I also put regular headphones (without mic) instead of samsung's and it works.do you know how to make it work with headphones with mic? Does anyone having the same issue? I always carry samsung's headphones so I wanna make it work with it.
Thanks

Using headphones for phone calls voice quality is perfect but as soon as I take out the headphones out the sound deteriorates and sounds like i'm calling from a boat.
make sure your not covering up the microphone ports.
I have 2 pairs of bluetooth headphones, each with a built-in microphone. My phone (galaxy s10) however, refuses to use those microphones. When I plug in wired headphones I can use the mic without a problem.
But when I connect my bluetooth headphones, the microphone simply doesn't work. I've looked through every option but can't seem to find a way to use the microphone.
Does android10/samsung even support bluetooth microphones? Is there any option I've overlooked?
Hi,
I can confirm I am having this exact issue with Galaxy A40.
Can you tell me if recording of the Bluetooth mic works if you use the MicTest (by Laureano) app form the app store?
This works great for me. Which tells me the mics in my case (a plantronic and a jabra) both work just fine.
But when it comes to calling and using other apps (Teams, Whatsapp, Samsung voice recorder) the phone just defaults to the internal microphone.
Is there a setting missing here?
Hello People/Developers/Geniuses,
I wanted a Module to be built for using my phone's mic as noise cancellation mic and use my bluetooth headset mic as primary mic.
The reason for the need of development is that earphones and TWS earpods don't come with noise cancellation technology and you cannot talk without the background noise.
The mics of these earphones are very sensitive and catch various background noises which create problem with the conversation.
I would like our intelligent developers to make a Module which does the upper work.
Please share if anything like the above is already developed so that i can use it right away and advertise it too.
I have a Moto X4 running Android 9.0 (pie). Recently, I have noticed that its microphone is not working in calls i.e. person on the receiving end can not hear my voice, only noise instead. And after searching for possible workarounds, I tried to put it on speakerphone but to no avail, noise still persists. But when I try to record a video via camera app, it records audio clearly without any noise whatsoever.
It has a primary mic and two noise cancellation mics. It seems to me that the primary mic has gone bad and the other two mics are being used in video recording.
So my question is, is there any way to use/force secondary microphone as a default mic through build.prop or some other alternative?
Headphone jack seems to be broken too, so I can unfortunately not use any earphones as external mic.
Please help.
I'm facing the same issue ,have you found any hack for that ?
