Hi all,i have a problem with my waze on adroid auto,not all the reporting buttons are displayed, when i scroll to the right everything works and when I turn to the left it does not show me two reporting buttons on the left.
I also give you a link to a video to see what the problem is.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WSo2gjQugA&feature=youtu.be
On car android look like this:
And on the phone they are displayed like this:
I hope someone can help me solve this problem.Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I could forward your question to the Waze Beta forum, but I will need some more info:
1. Waze app version
2. Android Auto version
3. Your phone's Android version
4. Car model/year
Also, it would be better if you could send some better pics or video clip (don't do it during driving). Post links to pics and/or video clips accessible from any other site.

I have already posted on their forum and received no response.
So to clarify, i do not use the waze from the phone in the car(I have put the two images with the waze in the phone to show the report buttons in portrait and landscape mode.), i have a separate android unit for the car and in this case,this one
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000338685608.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dyB6Yrw so the unit has android 9 and the waze application is installed on it.
And in the android in the car they are seen in the form of a column from left to right, not that this is the problem, but the fact that it does not display and does not go to swipe the left completely without displaying two reporting buttons.
Oh,and i use the official version of Waze from PlayStore v4.63.0.2.
Ok, I understood, I checked on my phone (Note 10+), in landscape mode, and I got the same problem as you on your car android unit. I am a registered waze beta user and I will report the problem, again, on the beta forum. (La revedere si la caru' cu bere!)

Ok, thanks for the help, if you find out anything please let me know.
Even if waze had a few updates, the problem still persists, even if i uninstall the application and then install a clean copy. From what i see, i don't think anyone knows how to help me with this problem.

This is a quick guide to show you how you can launch Google's Car home app and navigation instead of HTC's horizontally challenged car panel. While its simple enough to setup car home is not available on the market place for the DHD.
First install Google's car home app

Open car panel from you apps or launch it from your HTC Locations Widget

What launcher are you using? I quite like your homescreen and notification bar.
I presume DHD=Desire HD. I've got a Desire running 2.2 w/ Sense and I can't find/don't seem to have this My Locations/Car Panel app/widget.
-also, noticed you're from NZ, goodonya.
Very nice tip!!!
Now I can switch to another gps software on the panel and it can be in landscape!!!
I'm running Revolution HD by Mike1986 with Vistagamer's theme Desolution and couldn't be happier, Girlfriend wasn't so impressed with the background though
Edit: Yes DHD = Desire HD
And I found out a guy who posted the last version of CarHome, v2.2.1.4
http://www.mediafire.com/?8fkv48e9lpvx8d8
I already install it and it works fine
thanx for this !
very nice

Hello Can you update links?
Folks,
Sitting in a rental car wanting to connect your phone with the bluetooth handsfree?
Got a new stereo headset and want to pair it with your device?
Want to send a file via bluetooth to a friend and need pairing first?
Whenever you want to pair to a device or unpair from a device you have to go deeply into the settings of Android. If you finaly got there, the bluetooth pairing partner is out of pairing mode again...
That's the reason I wrote btPair. On opening the App you can scan for visible devices surrounding you and a red or green image shows you the current pairing status. With just one click you can pair or unpair to any device around you.
It's that simple...
Available on the Market now.
If you have questions, rants, comments or feature requests leave a message here or send me an email.
Cheers

Didn't quite like it. It's full of bugs and have sent you an email of the problem. Hope to see it resolved. Thanks.
Just to clarify: It is not FULL of bugs. There was one bug on one specific device. It was a duplicate device entry (the discovered device was listed after each discovery additionally) on a Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus with HC 3.2.
I was not able to reproduce this behaviour my Xoom with HC 3.2 and all my other devices (including emulator). However, I made some changes and added a function to display already paired devices uppon startup of btPair, and added a button for that.
So version 1.1 is published now.
Cheers
Many thanks to the developer. Now it doesn't show duplicates anymore. Hopefully the developer will add more feature in the future.

EDIT!
I download the apk from the link below. No root needed! Works ok. App is a little blurry, guessing it was made for the smaller phone screen.
But hey, FREE MUSIC and no ads. Sweet! Love the "Dial" where we can switch music on the fly. Using it with my car's bluetooth connection.

Update! Latest version works perfect. Screen now rotates and not stuck on Portrait mode.

yeah it works fine, thank you.
I saw a module related to this player in xposed, I think it helps those that can not run it. if you had any problems, maybe that will help you.
With the recent updates to Soundcloud angering me, and Pandora and other similar apps just not as appealing to me, I'm glad to see that there is a version out there for my 7.0 tab 3. I'm going to give this a shot after I finish jailbreaking my 5s (attempting a 7.1.2 update). Now the debate will continue... Samsung Tablet, Digital Camera... should I go for the phone or stick with iFruit... time will tell I guess this October.
Works with no root?
I have an HTC One and I downloaded the app and it installed but when I open the app it says device not supported. Am I missing something or was the "no-root" misadvertised. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All
This weekend I installed parallel Whatsapp for my second number. I have a private number and work number so I need two Whatsapps.
Since I cloned whatsapp, I get "Communication error 16" when using Android Auto.

The problem is similar to one they had a couple of years ago on the Oneplus 3. There's a thread about it on their forum. If I remove parallel Whatsapp, AA functions normally again.
Anybody who knows about any fixes or workarounds for this? On the Oneplus forum it seems that the problem was solved by an update of the ROM so I'm afraid that this might not be an easy one.
Try using GBWhatsapp (or similar Whatsapp clone) as an alternative to parallel Whatsapp for your second account (phone number).
Thanks @mNiosu, that looks like a great workaround.
I did find a better solution however. When installing parallel apps, the Mi 9 asks to clone the "Google services framework". Because I needed Whatsapp on my work number as well, I took the plunge and recreated the parallel app, this time without cloning the Google Services Framework.
Android Auto now works flawlessly. A really simple solution but you have to know it of course.
Pls help
@ljo13
Hey. Super. I have the same problem.
You solution sounds great. But I'm not able to do it...
Mave u can make a short video or a detailed description. I would appreciate a lot.
Thx

Hi,
If problem is only Whatapp, try to install Whatapp Business avaiable on PlayStore
Cool. Shire rhe wa business works?
sane as WhatsApp duo
Hey all,
I haven't found a thread reporting the same or even a similar problem, so I hope this isn't a repost. I recently got the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and am quite satisfied with the phone.
However, when I tried to connect it to my Skoda Octavia 3, I was very disappointed.
I can't seem to get Android Auto to be run in fullscreen on the car screen.
I have already activated developer options in Android Auto and set screen size to "up to 1080p" and other screen resolutions, but to no avail.
Here's what it looks like in the car:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
What is even worse: The touch map seems to refer to the full screen of the car screen, meaning touch entries most of the time register with a different button/area of Android Auto that is displayed at the touch location.
Does anyone know a way to fix this?
What Android version do you have on your phone? If 9 (Pie), then you could try uninstalling AA and reinstalling it. If you Android 10, then this is not possible.
Check also the following post on AA help community, as your issue is a known one: https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/8844203?hl=en

Thanks for your quick reply
My Android Version is 10 QKQ1, with MIUI Global 11.0.12 on the Mi 10 Pro. So I guess uninstalling AA won't be possible.
If I understand your linked post correctly, the fault is with the car manufacturer? I.e. Skoda in this case? That sounds like it's not going to be fixed anytime soon or at all.
Unfortunately…… But first I would check to see what is the car's display resolution. AA should work fine up to 1080p. The infotainment system in your car is genuine, that is, is it factory installed? If yes, than it might be a firmware update out there. Ask your dealer if he knows something about this issue.

This probably won't help but have a Mi A1 with a Skoda superb (looks like same unit). Phone was a rooted 9.x ROM, I had loads of connectivity issues.c(not screen res. though)
Installed a non stock 10.x and it works fine.
Have you tried another phone?
Check the version running on the head unit. Briskoda forum may help with updates for that.

Hey, thank you for your reply.
It worked fine with my previous phone, Samsung Galaxy S8 and with a friend's Galaxy S7.
I don't know how to check head unit version. But when I check with my VIN on the Skoda Update portal, there are only map updates and radio station logos available, no updates for headunit firmware
Same problem here, it seems not to be related to the head unit but to Xiaomi, as my head unit is Bosch which works fine with other android phones but scales down with my Mi note 10 lite
Use Android Auto's developer options and set the video resolution to "up to 1080p".
