Sorry, I've been looking everywhere - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

How to root huawei p30 pro emui 10.0.0
Step by step guide?

There's no bootloader unlock so root isn't possible.

Why would you like to root?

I like to keep things under control. Personalised individually for me. Like my sort of clean on board. Just because.

Booloader can't be unlocked like in case emui 9?

Huawei decided to to stifle owner options by removing b/l unlock not long after the P30 Pro was released. Typically they cite 'reasons of security'.... bollox

Lol. Your wish has come true. You have nothing from Google kkk

Not a clue what you mean.
But there's no need to elucidate.

You sad that you want to root to get rid of Google apps. Now there is no Google apps anymore. Simply like that

THE P30 Pro has GApps pre-installed. So does the New Edition model.
It's Huawei phones released after the P30 Pro that don't have GApps, such as the P40 range.

Well, doesn't matter if its Google or huawei. I want to get rid of all the crap. Personalise my device. There is still a lot apps which won't work without root.
If there's any emergency? A curtain? Something to blinds the system to change as much as possible?

Try this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=4014937
When the winds of change blow, some build walls, others build windmills

So basically what option for any changes, personalisation have owners of that EMUI?
We can't root it, use exposed, magisk, i don't know. How far can we go and what e can actually change instead of fonts?

Nothing.

[Q] - Can you downgrade XT1058 from 4.4.3 to 4.2.2

Hello guys, thanks for reading the post.
My question is if someone knows if you can downgrade from kk 4.4.3 to jb 4.2.2 (with or without camera OTA)...
I'm not happy with my battery life on kk... If I cannot fix this somehow, I would consider downgrading...
Thanks for any advise that you could give me.

No. If you attempt to downgrade you will brick your phone and life will suck!
Dont do it!
I bricked my phone when I tried to downgrade because bootloader is updated in the process. something.gpt
Yeah, you have to be very carefull about that, because boot loader changed from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2...
But there is a tutorial that says it can be done from 4.4.2 to 4.2.2, but I have not been able to find anything about 4.4.3...
Enviado desde mi XT1058 usando Tapatalk 2
Just....don't. I remember a thread about downgrading too. But if one little thing goes wrong....you'll be phone shopping.
So to summarize..... Don't!!! Unless you got money to spare.
---------- Post added at 08:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:49 PM ----------
P.s. Don't!!!!!
Thank you guys...
I'll follow your recommendation, and won't downgrade...
I really don't like the battery life I'm getting on kk...

No one is going to say yes, no problem. There is risk. Anything can happen.
To me its Russian roulette.

Wait!!!! Noooooo. That was SURELY written for 4.4. You can downgrade from 4.4 no problem. The new nasty un-downgradable bootloader started with 4.4.2.
That method I think simply will fail. Best case. Worst case, it bricks you. Medium case....it works....one day you take an OTA by accident, paperweight.
The method of downgrading was NOT with rsd. It was manually flashing and not flashing bootloader and some other stuff. Some people screwed it up and bricked. That pretty much stopped the supporters of downgrading from debating their point. Lol
Listen....for your sake....unless you have the money for a new phone on the table beside you, or an old device you're perfectly happy with going back to.....do not attempt to downgrade.
I'm not talking about this taboo subject any more. Lol
Good luck with whatever you do. ?

I would be wary using that method. Looking at the comments, one was posted before 4.4.2, 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 was released, so it is probably an older guide meant to be used with 4.4 only. The other comment (yeah, there are only two) asked if it works with 4.4.2, but no answer was given. Attempting this will likely cause you to brick, or set your phone up to brick upon an update. As has been said before, you can take the risk, but I think most everyone here would suggest that you work out the battery issues you are having with KitKat via a different method.
Edit:
What KJ edited his post to say.
Yeah, I won't be downgrading...
I really wish I never upgraded to kk, it's not nearly as optimized for the x as 4.2.2 was...

Unlocked USA version. Snapdragon

Carrier specific phones have this option blocked because they want you to pay for their own spam caller service

Shadow is fine, backlight prevents it sometimes from unlocking.

***Tmobile android 10 update

had the OTA update show up today for the tmobile oneplus 6t, it downloaded and verified fine, applied and requested a reboot. Result is = one bricked phone, cannot get to even bootloader. error message is "build version and HW version is not match". This was with the stock tmobile software...
If you read these forums, you'd see that method was only for Int'l phones. Find some posts made by me to find out how to flash Android 10 on T-Mobile branded 6Ts

Check page 407 of the Android 10 beta discussion. You have to download a payload extractor from https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818070582850510260
No issues after flashing Google dialer.
Everyone can hear me, and I can hear everyone on phone speaker, speakerphone, bluetooth and Android Auto.

Look 3 posts above at my reply. You have to download the OB1 zip and extract it using the tool I posted. Then flash through fastboot in the order that the post says. Bootloader must be unlocked. You can also download the patched boot.img with magisk.

Not go off topic, but I went from my Nexus 6 to the 6T. While I love the 6T, I still miss my nexus 6 and am even considering getting another one, although not sure if I would use it as my daily.

You don't have to flash the patched boot.img. With the stock boot.img you won't have root, the patched one will give you root access. Never lock your bootloader if your rooted.

It's there, just hidden. The key is to find how to enable it in regions where it's hidden.

I think it's not Realme's fault in this case. Call recording being enabled or disabled depends on countries' privacy law.

The 2 files are
/system/etc/oppoRegionFeatures/com.oppo.region.IT.xml
And
/system/etc/oppoRegionMarkFeatures/com.oppo.regionmark.EUEX.xml
I am in Italy so I chose EUEX (Europe) and IT (Italy). You have to choose the corresponding files with your country.
In these 2 files you have to remove this string:
<feature name="oppo.phone.nodisplayrecord" />
Could be that, maybe, this string will be in only one of your files. After reboot you should have call recording enabled.
