Are those apps available as a seperate download, the Sony music and photo gallery on the 1 ii?
Sony music is there. Album app is discontinued and replace by google photo.

I think Album can be downloaded from Google Play Store
Can you please confirm if my comment right ?
It can't be found in Play Store, so you can't install it. If you find it through Play Store on Chrome you can't install it because it is not compatible.
I've got this issue too. I've tried taking the album apk from xperia 5 and it installed on my new 1 ii but force closed whenever I opened it. Does anyone know of a way to get it working? I really miss the old album app
I've got the same problem....would like a Sony video player as well, do they make one?
Look for Sony cross device section and install an universal apk.

Can someone please give me the latest Sony music app apk? The one on my phone is always giving me an "Internel" error when i try to login with the creds which i have created. The app on my friend's phone works fine.
I raised a support message, and they said clear data and restart the app, you'll be asked to update, but no such thing happened.

Also I have something like a bug with the RAM, my device is showing that I have almost 400MB of free ram and there is almost no ram being used. This can t be real. Must bee some kind of bug. Does anyone else have something like this?!

There is.
I'm using the Russian version, downloaded from XperiFirm and flashed with Flashtool
If you disable or delete bloatware, or system apps you can feel the difference between when you remove it, and when you don't. The phone can withstand 5-6 days without doing anything to it. (14-19hrs If you play games, listen to music, etc..)
That must be a Software bug, I suppose.

So I can gain more free ram and extra battery life? Maybe you know a list of apps safe to delete for E1?

I can download apps just fine, even after restart

I have installed the samsung music player apk from an apk store and the app is not working. When installing the app it get installed but the app isnt opening. When clicking the app icon the screen blinks. The app isnt opening. Hope xda will provide me with this issue please help me with it.

You need the Samsung framework for it. Since you have a OnePlus device, it won't work.

Samsung apps need Samsung framework, Sony's apps don't
That's the reason you can't use Samsung player
I have joined the Samsung family after having been with Sony for many many years and the 1 thing I do miss are the music, keyboard and weather apps/widgets. Other then that I am loving the S10!
I do want to ask what music apps people are using though? Ideally I want 1 like Sony's as it gave me the option of a widget and I could download album art on there. I have tried many of the apks that are available for the Sony one, some don't work on the S10 and some work flawlessly EXCEPT I cannot make a playlist or add songs to my favourites. However when I tried doing these on other music apps and then going back to the Sony one, the songs will appear on my playlists?! Is there a reason for this? It's really bugging me that my S10 is not yet perfect for me :crying:
Any advice or recommendations are welcome!

I using Musicolet. It is new app. Is free and without ads, heavy customizable and light. I was using long time JetAudio, PowerAmp and now settled with Musicolet.

Samsung Music 16.2.16.10 (Available On Apk Mirror) is the best music app ever made for offline playback. Its very colorful just like Sony's Walkman used to be.
For Editing Album Arts etc I would recommend Star Music editor from the play store.

The Samsung app is very nice, but not usable for anyone with a music collection over 10k songs. It will only play the first 10k songs in the music players list. I've tried many different ways to get it to play different ways and it basically only plays the song you selected and the 9,999k in the first of the list from what the app can see. It wasn't like this prior to the apps updates introducing Spotify into the app.

Also thanks for the link to Sony's 1 but I have already tried that and as mentioned, creating playlists or adding to favourites doesn't seem to work ? but for some reason if I create those playlists in another music app, they will appear in the Sony one?! Anybody know why or how I can fix this please?
I tried to install the apk file but when I try to open it it crashes. I don't like the Google photos app I prefer the stock Sony one.
I downloaded 'Gallery' off the app store. Seems ok.

Thanks,installed this version. It includes the "places" tab bit the program crashes when selected. It is THE most sought feature i'm after, bit for my life I cannot find it.

I did, but actually, Google Photo is better. The lay-out of the Sony Album app is a bit nicer, I removes it as it didn't have support for bursts.
