OxygenOS Open Beta 12 (7.1.1) for OnePlus 3

"Hi everyone,
First of all, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who have been participating in our beta program. It's been a huge success. By sending in your feedback, bug reports, and general thoughts, you've made OxygenOS even better, and we're making improvements faster than ever before. Today, we have a particularly exciting announcement: Open Beta 12– built on Android Nougat 7.1.1 - is available now for the OnePlus 3.

Upgraded to Android 7.1.1
New Shot on OnePlus wallpaper option
Gallery Improvements
New photo editor with watermark and photo straightening options
Newly added media will be highlighted in Photos section
Image location will be displayed on grid view
Media can be grouped by month and year

Android pay not able to work on London TFL/Tube
This can be resolved by updating the app via Play store

If you’ve already flashed a previous Open Beta build, you will receive this update via OTA. If you haven’t, you will need to flash this build by ADB sideload. Your data may transfer, but there is always a possibility of losing personal data, so be sure to backup all of your important data before flashing this build. As stated before, once you flash the Open Beta, you’ll continue getting Open Beta OTAs.

After flashing in TWRP, it says No OS installed are you sure you want to reboot?.
After reboot I only get a black screen. Did a clean flash.

Guys after flashing the rom reflash the custom recovery. Reboot to recovery to check if it works. Then boot to system.

1-Is there 3D touch?
2-While power saver mode on, can you still connect Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Gmail? No connection error? (after enabling power saving mode, should wait 5-10 mins)
3- rebooting phone disables power saving mode?
Anybody installed the rom if could answer please?

The weather app is gone and the wallpaper is no longer blurred on the shelf screen of Oxygen launcher

Game launcher installed but no Game can add to it.
I tested two hands free but none of them make sound.
*Can you Add AOD to J530f rom?(And it cannot connect to Pc .Plz fix it.I don't test on this Rom yet) It's very smooth and stock but it doesn't have Always on display.*

Hello, I installed and tested it, very fast and fluid, one of the ones from oneui2, the fastest I tested.
Automatic brightness does not work
There is NO echo on calls.
Hopefully you can correct the automatic brightness so it would be a perfect rom.

Change vendor/overlay/frame-res__auto_generated_rro_vendor.apk and reboot. Auto brightness will be fixed.

my phone is in boot loop. ı can reach twrp but i cant fix it. i tried with other zip. İ am using a320 fl.

According to Xiaomi EU yes, take into account that TWRP doesn't decrypt data a12, I was able to test it out but kept getting a permission error crash. Some peeps did it with the OTA update and it worked according to there posts.

If you want come back to a11 Xiaomi EU you must flash first fastboot ROM from Xiaomi EU android 11 (old one), full boot, next flash twrp, format all yes, flash stable a11, format, fully boot.
If you have twrp data partition backup from twrp after fully boot and set pin (nessrsary, tested today) come back to recovery, restore data, boot

Tested today other "short way" and always was problematic , use my instruction

That is what happened to me with the random reboots after using the beta build even after clean fresh install. Have you had any issues with permission crashing?

I'am on Xiaomi.eu 21.9.1 beta ROM and it shows up as update in the updater. How can I update it EXACTLY? I read about fastboot mode but why would it show up in the updater tho? Some confusing posts at xda and xiaomi.eu Forums.

Like Pho3nx said MMX had also a new build with android 12, very easy install went from Xiaomi EU latest stable to the MMX. Installation process went really smooth and its comes rooted by default. here a screen shot.

Instal and try but much more laging। when i play gaming FPS 25-30 only

Been using it for several hours now and after setting the minimun fps for the screen at 90 and flashing a couple of Magisk mods and it has been running great to the point I forgot I had switched. I will say there are some Ii glitches but not something noticeblw all the time. Like when it boots the screen will be shown like for one hand use it redraws itself and it gets fixed also for example when switching screen density you have to kind play with the font size to get it to fix or a reboot will fix it. Anyways nothing major but it passes safety net it's rooted and it's working great

I wasn't using a pin and I don't know if it matters since it's done from fastboot mode, but I only literally just rebooted to fastboot and ran the bat file script. So no need to wipe anything since it's done all by the script it will reboot by itself and you just have to wait for it to boot it might take some minute for first boot so be patient.

Thanks, the steps works great and no big problems so far.
Only sms app crashes and I cannot hide the navbar when I want to use Nova launcher. Anyone knows how to hide it (I use FNG as gestures)?

That's not possible even on stables, MIUI doesn't let use gestures with third party launchers no way to hide not even with Magisk or anything I tried most of not all methods. I use fng too it works with miui launcher once you hide the gesture bar just make sure MIUI doesn't kill the app in the background
Yes ROM MIUI Mix is working fantastic, great battery no issue playing COD at max settings smooth etc. I set.my screen to min fps 90 Hz and it's just the sweet spot.

It's just a pity than some admin on their Telegram are big a.s.s.h.o.l.e (like "Francesco")...
I'm on Xiaomi.eu A12 , waiting for OneOS and above all AOSP A12.
For SMS just using Textra SMS, working perfectly for replace Mi Message (crash constantly)

Too bad. On OneOS A11 I could use Nova launcher as default with navbar turned off, so use gestures from FNG, when on A12 I only can use system launcher

Question MIUI 13 bugs on all roms

Please share your bugs and solutions. I tried 4 different roms and melodies and sounds always reset after every reboot for viber, WhatsApp, messenger... (EU, Global, Indonesian and even Chinese orginal) they just go default no matter what I change.
Second was I am on Indonesian rom. (Best and most stable for my use and taste)
Super wallpapers were not in wallpapers and showed after system updates that I pushed manually and still wouldn't apply. So somehow in Nova launcher I manage to change and use them. ..
There are few more bugs , so please share if you know some solutions

Welcome to Xiaomi Rom
For the most bugs you have, it's highly recommanded to :
- Coming with a clean flash
AND
- Just after first setup, make a factory reset (yes, even after coming from a clean flash) for solve permissions problems. It's permissions problems causing Apps don't keep your settings / reset settings.

But if that will solve my bugs it's nice and easy solution. So I guess your ringtones of mentioned apps stay if you change them or you just leave them on default?
Do you have the link of that stable ROM? I am on (pilot) and I updated through OTA

Did all again , clean install and factory reset and again sounds reset to default in messenger, what's app and Viber

Yes I did and it's all the same. Some apps don't apply dark theme , some apps don't save changed sound.

Does anyone have problem with not being able to change sound of messaging apps like WhatsApp Messenger Viber etc. , they revert to default on every restart for me. I tried this on all rom versions and it was the same. is this problem fixed on xiaomi eu 13.0.8.0 stable ?

I am working with Xiaomi on this problem. Got invite to work on bugs and make MIUI better. So problem is reported and is being processed. Fix should come in coming update.

Just make use of "service and feedback" and report your problem if you are on MIUI global or Chinese ROM.

Question Which is the most stable, battery-friendly and high-performance MIUI version?

Hello friends. I am using MIUI 14 EEA but I am not satisfied. Battery drains very quickly and gaming performance is not good. Is there a version you can recommend? Is Miui 12.5 ideal?

The EliteROM MIUI 14/A13 latest weekly is out, but some issues that drove me off it to another ROM. (currently the Evolution X is my driver)
- no Sync shortcut, but MIUI has a convenient "sync now" on the Sync screen
- difficulty/inability using file explorer apps to install your saved apks (dealbreaker, but not an issue on Evolution X A13)
- I've been off EliteROM's for awhile. Getting back into the MIUI ecosystem seems a bit over the top now, so I am AOSP for now.

I couldn't get used to the AOSP interface. miui doesn't have useful features... I installed pixel OS it was very fast but even the launcher settings had limited options. I will try Pixel Experience plus.

I really like the design language of the MIUI interface and there are lots of useful settings, lots of customizations and it's very nice. If there is no performance miui version, I can get aosp rom recommendation.

I'm on MIUI 14 global, but I'm getting really sick of this aggressive background app murder. Was thinking of trying Cherish-OS-v4.7-20230411-1655 and SuperiorOS-Thirteen-sweet-GAPPS-RELEASE-20230412-1255, now that finally new hardware support (touch) OrangeFox-MIUI-R11.1_3-Unofficial-sweet.zip was released. Even tho I have old hardware and OrangeFox-R11.1_3-Unofficial-sweet.zip was also released for AOSP, so I'm really starting to hate this phone, so much annoying crap to deal with.

I gave the vanilla LineageOS 20 a shot, but the micro-G concept is offputting. I only wanted "suggested" vanilla, not forced. Could not install Google Play as it "conflicted." Grrr. The shared non-vanilla is fine, but it does have some issues that I cannot recall at the moment why I moved off it.

since the birth of xiaomi-EU rom 12.5.9 I'm satisfied with it. No explicit batterydrain. Every App works fine.
The only thing to complain is that sometimes my notification sounds are not working as expected on some Email-Apps.

If you try again the vanilla LOS and then flash NikGapps or FlameGapps, I'd expect everything to work as you expect -- dunno, haven't tried it on a RN10Pro, but this did work on other Xiaomi devices (RN8, POCO X3)...

You could give Cherish OS a try
it worth it
i am using the vanilla version with nikgapps
some minor bugs not to complain about against the super BB and fast ui

currently i am on 4.61
there is a newer build 4.7 with some fixes you can go for it
i am willing to update too but because clean flash is recommended i dont have enough time right now

gestures sometimes didn't work, sometimes didn't open the notification bar. it overheated the phone, i switched to miui elite rom, i think this is the best for now.

Yeap clean install. First Clear data vendor metadata and cache, step 2 format data and flashing rom

what was your firmware ?
try to flash the latest firmware then clean instal
you should use latest orange fox recovery
and do wipe cache and dalvik then format data again after flashing

you know you were right the 4.7 is a fall back
not getting a good experience
now as an official alpha droid is published i am going to try it
no firmware is needed when using alpha or cherish you do not need just the rom
