There are plenty of screen recorders available at Google Playstore. Some are paid, some are free. But many of them are not supported with lollipop. So today I'm going to shortlist them in this post :fingers-crossed:

1. AZ Screen Recorder: This is my personal favorite. It's a great screen recording app with floating widget. It can record up to 40 FPS. The max resolution is 1080p which gives 30-35FPS while recording at 8Mbps. It has no watermark, unlimited recording, great frame-rate. It doesn't even make games laggy. The only con is that it'll record both of the audio from mic and from device (app sound, device's sound). Hope, this will be fixed in future update.

2. SCR 5+ Screen Recorder Free: The great SCR is back with the 5.0 support. Though it's an EARLY BETA build with limited features like recording up to 3 mins and watermark will be there. If you like it, then consider purchasing the Pro version of it

Yes, some ROMs will let you add the Screen Recorder option to the Power Menu. it's a basic screen recoreder

For custom ROMs it's possible but for stock firmware it's not possible as far as I know That's why this thread

I think there is some problem with the ROM which you're using. Never faced such issues till now. Used all of them but now using AZ Screen Recorder as a primary recorder. For reference, visit my channel. All the videos were recorded with AZ Screen Recorder. Even it records at 60 FPS. I record at 720p btw. See this YouTube video. Smooth recording at 720p 60 FPS

I'm on stock with AN annoying bug and waiting for the BETA version of Parandroid. I would recommend you to use Liquid Smooth ROM . It's stable and good for daily usage and such problems as far as I know

As you know, the Google Camera app do not detect an external microphone for audio recording during video capture, which is very awful for extreme environments. We have to use a 3rd party app (like Cinema FV-5), but we loose the stabilization on the Google Pixel.
The idea is to sync the video (captured with the Google Camera app) with the audio recorded thanks to Easy Voice Recorder (or Recordr), which lets us using a 3.5 external microphone.
But I'm not very familiar with Tasker. So, have you an idea how to do that ? The goal is to begin the audio and video recording at the exact same time.

It seems that it is impossible to use the Google Camera and another app which uses the microphone at the same time.
I tried to revoke the microphone permission of Google Camera but the app doesn't want to work after that.
The profils (and tasks) are very easy to build but there is no way for them to work because of this restriction.
Any ideas, please ?

Question. Since the update of Android 9 we cannot longer use Call recording apps without rooting. I still have (and want to keep) my warranty. So is there a way to still make use of those apps without losing my warranty?
And yes, I am lazy and use an automatic call recorder.

Android 9 comes with a native call recorder. You can access it from phone app options

So I'm using P40 pro with freebuds 3 headset. Recently I'm into vlogging with my gf, and I'm wondering is there a way to use the freebuds 3 as a wireless mic/audio source for video recording with the native camera app?? The internal mic of the phone picks up too much surrounding voice, and I can't shoot too far from my gf (as the host), to pick up her voice.
I can do this if I'm recording with cinema FV5 apk, but we prefer using the native camera app. I can use the built-in beautify filter, and the image stabilisation is better imo.
I'm on emui 11.0.0.259, with gms installed, if that helps.

Is it possible to use the remote camera on non-galaxy phones? I remember that there was a workaround for this on older watches.
