Hello everyone,
I received an OTA update last night for my phone for Android Lollipop. If I had known better, I wouldn't have updated it.
Since the update, my screen doesn't timeout or lock, it just restarts. If I press the power button to turn the screen off, it restarts. I can either shut the phone off completely or keep the screen on, which obviously kills the battery pretty quick.
I tried doing factory reset already, issue is still there. I tried wiping cache partition, same issue.
At this point, I would really like to downgrade to KitKat. Is that possible? And if so, how? I'm on a Vodafone UK contract. My phone is not unlocked.
Any other solution that might help. I don't know what else to do. Please help.

sounds like your phone is broken ..return it if it's Locked and never rooted
Finally fixed
In the end, I had to unlock the bootloader, root the phone and flash a customer ROM (Android Revolution). It worked! Now, I can finally switch my screen off without the phone restarting!
Thanks,
Rose

you also lost your warranty in the process. If it had not worked you would have been stuck paying for a repair
I'm happy it worked out for you
Hey guys!
I just bought my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phone from T-Mobile Hungary today. I brought it home , turned it on, and I saw KitKat. He offered me the upgrade to Lollipop, he even downloaded it, and then it said it would start the installation progress, it restarted and when it turned on recovery booting it said "error" With a +!+ in a red triangle and restarted again and I see KitKat, Lollipop is nowhere.
The phone is a couple hours old, no root , nothing.
Could you please help me?

Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help is the thread for your device thos guys will know what to do and how to,ask around there my friend. Be ready to do a factory via recovery (i dont think it will solve your problem) or flash your stock rom with some software (99% it will work, the other 1% is damaged hardware). Of course you can always take the phone back to where you buy it.
I think this thing just bricked my phone. I just flashed the 10 N bootstack and the H811 10 N Stock Rooted ROM (can be found at this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/rom-g4-h811-10n-stock-rooted-rom-t3188858to) my phone via TWRP. Flashed both files in the correct order. it said it was successfully installed. I selected reboot system. Then the phone shut off, but didn't reboot. Now it will no longer turn on. Tried removing the battery and putting it back in, but still no power. Nothing i do helps. It just wont turn on.
So is it bricked or is there some more stuff I can try. I have never bricked a phone and I've been modding phones since 2011. Even wrote a couple custom roms myself. So I know what I’m doing. But I guess there’s a first time for everything right lol.
Any ideas on how to fix this
Hello,
I Have a Mi A2 in Switzerland, that I have updated with the Nederland Pie official ROM. I'm now running the December 2018 patches. Since a few weeks, my phone only charge if I restart it. I have made a factory restore but I still have this issue. I was thinking first that it could be a HW issue, but since after a reboot it's working.. I don't know what else to do.
Anyone get a similar issue or have troubleshooting step that I could do for charging issue ?
Maybe it's the fast charge that is not so happy.
Thanks for your help
Max

You can try download fastboot rom and install it using fastboot method instead of force update using VPN or whatever else..
