I'm trying to revive my old HTC One M7. I had issues with charging it so I bought a new battery
from Aliexpress and installed it. I powered it ON and the battery had about 30 precent in.
Then I proceed with unlocking it and installing LineageOS 16 so I can run Android Pie on it - everything
went smoothly, but the phone still seems to have charging issues. When I try to charge it the Red
LED light is blinking repeatedly, on the screen there's a battery logo in the center but it doesn't show
any indication battery is being charge (it should have some Green color in it to show charging but it doesn't display that).
After few minutes the blinking Red charging LED turns off and nothing shows up on the screen.
What could be the issue here? Should I try to replace the charging connector? Or could it be a problem with the logic board?
I tried to do the power button + volume up + down to reset the charging logic but it seems like the device is not responding to this.

Led light error is very common in m7. If it charges then don't worry.

I have a C6003 running 4.4 Stock with an unlocked BL and am rooted. The phone screen is cracked at the top third (not smashed, just 2 long cracks) and that third of the screen does not receive touch input, but still displays. Anyway, the phone is currently out of battery, when I try to power it on, I get either a flash of the Sony logo then 3 blinks of the red LED or just straight to the LED, which is normal. I plug it in to charge (tried several USB cable / wall plug combos, up to 2.1A etc.) and the red LED glows solid as it should. Even hours later it still will not power on and gives me the blinking LEDs...It was charging for a total of at least 7 hours and is still not turning on. I have had several battery issues recently but this is the most serious. I am sending my phone in for repair under insurance for the screen but need to back it up first! Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: Quick edit to add the fact that this same issue occurred yesterday as well but it eventually powered on with 15% battery, I used it and it would not charge and so that is why it is run down again. Even when powered on it would not charge, the LED did light and it charged for 5 seconds each time the cable was inserted, but after the 5 the LED would stop and it would stop charging. The phone knew the cable was there though as when it was inserted Stamina mode was disabled (as it should) even though it was not charging?

Check this thread out, it might just resolve your issue credits to @AhmedZadjali
I have an HTC One. I was using it normally today, but got home and it was one percent. I plugged it up to charge and went to check a notification I had, and it turned off. It has happened before, and the charge light was on and it went straight to the screen where it shows the red battery and percent below it. This was normal - like I said, it's happened to me before. Then, it completely turned off instead of charging. A short time later, the orange charging light went off.
I plugged it up into the wall as advised a forum I was looking at for this problem, and apparently it is a common thing with these phones. I've let it charge for about an hour and it still isn't turning on and both the charge light and the red LED light have not come on at all. I tried to trick where I held it under my lamp light and held the power button and both the up and down volume buttons but it still hasn't turned on. Maybe I just haven't left it plugged up long enough?
Any advice? I use my phone a lot, so I really need it!
My sons HD+ is having an issue charging. I've searched and found a lot of info on charging issues but nothing like what this one is doing. When I plug the nook in the charge light is green and then turns orange and then goes out completely. It won't turn on through any of this. Pushing the power button after the light has gone off repeats the light sequence. I'm running PAC man ROM. Any ideas?
Which side of USB cable are you plugging and unplugging? Try doing this in the other side while keeping the first connected.

Two thoughts:
Does the battery indicator show the battery percentage increasing normally while plugged in and no light? (Take that all in)
If you completely power off the nook (power button menu -> power off) and then plug it in, does it still do the same thing. If it works normally, its possibly or probably the rom. If not then it gets, more complicated to diagnose like trying a different charging cable (money or bn warranty).
So one morning I woke up and saw phone keeps rebooting(bootloop).I had breakfast then came back to pick it up,and i connected it to charger and phone was totaly dead.I tryed other cables but still same result.Only way to power it on is when I use original cable and connect it to charger/pc.Then red led turns on and display showing low battery, and led keeps blinking.Sometimes it can boot into system and works for few minutes and shuts off cuz 0%.I changed battery but everything is same,I also can go into TWRP.
**I TRIED EDL MODE/two pins or whatever and my PC is not showing Qualcom driver or anything else in relation with phone
i had same issue before, i simply just buy new cable and it working again!!
PS. Before i buy new cable i already had 3 type-c cable bot non of them working
I had the same issue an hour ago. My MI5 had ~25% charge left when I saw it shutting off, maybe I unknowingly did it. Then I decided to leave the phone in TWRP at night but in the morning it appeared to be dead. The red LED blinked only when I pressed the buttons, no turning on, fastboot or booting into TWRP was possible. When I plugged it into the charger an empty battery icon appeared with the red LED blinking continuously. After some time a new animated battery icon appeared, in the still turned off state, but this time showing the exact charge percentage (2%). It went to 3% and I turned it on with the power button.
Should be a faulty battery which needs to be replaced!

Remove back cover plug and replug the battery connector it qill solved (red light of death) if still happend you need to buy new battery
Hello, two weeks ago my phone all of a sudden turned off and I can't turn it back on.
The only reaction I can get from it now is notification light turning on (instead of blinking) when charging. Also, when I use any vol + power combination when charging, the notification light blinks once and then goes back on. No vibration, no nothing. I tried charging it for a whole day with original charger (tried two xiaomi chargers).
I managed to tear down the phone, and plug off a battery from a motherboard. When I plug in a charger, with battery plugged off, the phone reacts exactly the same (no vibration, no screen activity, only notification led).
So my question is: could it be that the battery alone is faulty, or could it be something else? I will highly appreciate any help!
