Do you mean that AdAway doesn't work with MagiskSU? Does it fail to request su altogether? What version of the app? As has already been stated (a bit passive-aggressively), more details are necessary to help properly.
Edit: that log is completely unreadable like that... Attach as a file to the post instead.

magisk v12 and newest adaway. adaway seems to have root in magisk menu.
logfile attached. had to .rar it.
ot: is there any better app then logcat where you can create/save a logfile directly from the from without the need of attaching the phone to the pc via cable and do adb commands?

I'm not using it anymore, but I was using AdAway with MagiskSU without issues previously. I can try to get some testing in later...
I've since moved on to my own version of the Unified Hosts Adblocker module. It works very well and I can highly recommend it.

Updated for Magisk v14.0. Most of the changes since v13.3 was under the hood, so not much has changed in relation to this guide.
The guide is not forgotten... Magisk v15.0 is out in the real world and the guide do need to be updated. There are also a bunch of other stuff I plan to change and add.
But, it's the holidays and I will NOT do that on a phone... As soon as I have access to a computer, it'll be updated.
Ok!
Finally had some time to work on the guide.
It's been updated to Magisk v15.2 and there are also some reworked, updated and new sections. One major update is that the "Installing Magisk and modules" post has gotten so big it now needs two separate posts. If you have any links pointing to parts of this thread, they might now be broken...
Major update to the format, even though nothing new has been added to the guide.
Everything has been moved to a new location, my own little wiki where I have much better control over editing, layout, linking, etc. :good: Now that everything's moved over and functional, I'll start polishing and updating everything over there instead.
Go check it out! You'll find it at the following address:
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk
Just realised I had not updated the guide for Magisk v16.0. That's been fixed now... :good:
Check the changelog in the OP and the guide can found here:
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk
For minor updates and clarifications I don't bother with any kind of changelog or announcements.
Today though I've updated the info about getting the error "The response is invalid" when checking SafetyNet, since many users have been reporting about it... Bottom line: don't worry about it.
As always, you'll find they guide right here:
https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk
There's been several small fixes and updates to the text over the past few months. Most to small to bother with a changelog or release note.
Today though, I wanted to inform that I've updated the tips in Hiding root from apps with a possible way of hiding root detection, found by @alpsayin for the Santander Bank app. It's very likely that this method will work on other apps as well... Give it a go if you're having troubles hiding root from an app.
Holy spam Batman! Magisk v17.0 really caused a ruckus, didn't it?
I'll update the guide for Magisk v17.1 and Manager v5.9.1 as soon as possible. Have been working 10-12 hour days the past few days, so time is not something I have in abundance. Gonna start my University studies on monday as well, so I'm not expecting that to change any time soon... I'll try to get it done in the next few days though.
Did a quick run-through of the text and cleaned it up to match Magisk v17.1 and Manager v5.9.1.
Uni started yesterday (and more huge life events are coming up in quick succession), so I'm not expecting to be around much from now on. I'll do my best to keep the guide updated.
Gonna keep the thread unlocked from this point on. It's not stickied anymore and there might be good discussions being had.
As always, you'll find the actual guide here: https://www.didgeridoohan.com/magisk/
Did a quick update earlier and added some info about the new Canary builds.

I have no answer for your question, just to letyou know you are not alone.
(as i build my own rom i going to try to resolve this by adding it to the build source, then it should stick).

I am using Pixel 4a 5G and I use the latest security patch (January 2021) and latest canary Magisk (6d88dba8) as of January 6th PST time zone. and my system information can be found in the picture below.
This problem has been happened for days I am now using the stock ROM and stock kernel (NOT Proton AOSP, LOS, PE or any other custom ROMs)
What shall I do to resolve this **except** setting SELinux as permissive?
It will be really appreciated if someone can offer me some help.
Thank you.

First you need to have a Permissive kernel, not ENFORCING (Like on P. Experience)
1: Flash Permissive Kernel into Magisk +22.2
2: SEARCH and Flash "Audio Modification Library" into MAGISK
3: SEARCH and Flash Viper and/or James DSP and/OR Dolby Atmos
Enjoy.
*Recommended James DSP and Dolby atmos; Whyle Viper works very well you need to turn on "Compatibility Mode" to make it work.
Give thanks if you like it.
