Can someone help pls, after the update, my volume rocker is glitching when I use the earphones, the volume doesn't change at all, and then after removing it the reduce volume rocker doesn't work , restarting the device works but then same problem comes back
Maybe you have another app interfering? Do you have bxactions or another button remapping app installed?
You could boot to safe mode and see if the problem persists. That will tell you if it's related to a 3rd party app or not.

Hello.
Since jp6 / froyo there is no option to turn off off vibrating when disabling volume by pressing the volume buttons.
With jm1 there has been the option vibrating->volume off.
Now with froyo you can only choose between volume on and then volume off with vibrations.
In the settings its possible to turn off vibrating when the phone is muted but not both. I would like to choose between vibrating on or off when the phone is muted by pressing the volume buttons like in jm1, is this possible?
Thanks in advance!

anyone?
sry 4 double post...
The vibrate implementation has changed. Go to Settings>Sound>General and then set your Vibrate options (Always, never, Only in silent mode, Only when not in silent mode)
yes, this works, but this is not that comfortable as it was with eclair... :-( Sometimes its nice to turn off vibrating directly...

Hi
Today I was just listening to some music and while decreasing the volume , the volume down button got stuck physically , I mean it works but I have to push it harder , the volume up button works perfectly , I bought my N7 from grabmore (I live in India)
Can someone suggest me what to do
The same problems have always arise on my phones, and I think such problems is leaded by the frequently pushing operations. You may get fixed from the after-sale service.
Head over to Google Play, find and install volume in notification.. Reduce hardware vol button usage so you'll help extend its life.

try pushing the button fully, then edge it either up or down maybe its just stuck on a ledge?
push n wiggle
Hi, I have a problem with my HD7, the volume rocker has stopped working and volume is set to 0. I heard that I could unlock the phone and then get an app from bazaar called 'Volume Slider' that would allow me to change the volume without the rocker.
My problem though is that all the guides I've read about unlocking seem to need you to hold down the volume button when rebooting and I can't do this since it doesn't work. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hello.
I've had this problem for a while now but can't fix it.
Basically my volume buttons can change the volume of my phone even though the screen is off and "locked" (just lockscreen).
I can't imagine this is meant to be like this? It means my phone goes to full silent all the time when it's just in my pocket.
I think the problem came with lollipop because this introduced volume change from vibrate to silent mode by pressing the volume down button.. apparently in my pocket only the volume down button is pushed - and why I never noticed it on kitkat.
Thanks

So you have this 'problem' as well? It's not a bug on only my phone?

its not a bug just the option that you can control the volume even if the phone is locked
You should not wear those skinny jeans!
Never ever had this kind of problem since the Zs` volume buttons are quite unlikely to be pressed unintentionally.

Why would you ever want to control the volume if your phone is locked? It only allows for unwanted volume change

I don't have skinny jeans at all and it happens around 5x per day if I'm walking a lot.

For example if you are listening to music and you dont want to pull the phone out of your pocket.
Maybe there is something with the vol button sensitivity

Ok sure but that's media volume not ringer volume. They are separate.
Anyway I wrote a tasker script to force lock my volume when screen is on but locked. And it disables this force lock when screen is unlocked. Tasker to the rescue once again

what the vol buttons depend on is what you are currently using for example: If you are using the Music app then the control the media vol and if you dont use anything then they control the ringer vol but nevertheless I am glad you found a solution

Exactly.
So it should be: when using music, allow volume buttons. If no music: lock buttons.
Volume up button sometimes works OK and does not, when I switch off bixby framework it then works fine.
Also set is the. Media control map too the volume buttons is on
Does anyone experience the same issues
