Hi, I have a problem installing the recovery. After installing it correctly and restarting the phone, I can't enter the modified recovery and I only get xiaomi's. What can happen?
The custom recovery gets replaced by MIUI recovery every time you restart after flashing it. Orange fox recovery is highly recommended. Flash recovery, flash magisk and disable dm-verity over it.

There is no need to permanently disable encryption, if you do not want to.

You must start the new recovery right after flashing it. You can do this with
Code:
fastboot oem reboot-recovery

My Mi a2 was converted to Mi 6x and trapped on arb4.
I have tried flashing Mi a2 ROMS, but failed. it ends up with errors in twrp (I booted Mi a2 twrp).
Is it possible to flash Mi a2 ROMS on converted Mi 6x?

No, you have to flush only the 6x rums, and watch the arb Now that exists in Pixel Expiriencu!

1st time I converted to mi 6x, I was able to flash A2 ROM that I just needed to push a2 twrp then flash.
Since I got arb4, it becomes trouble in flashing mi a2. so, I am supposing it is the cause.
anyway, anyone has any idea or found a solution, please share.
thanks

Arb4 means no ways back as far as I know
ARB 4 has no solution!! (and i think will not have...)
I'm on this boat and the best solution (for me) is flashing the Havoc 2.5 for Mi 6x (wayne), the best ROM based on Android One
Use edl mode to flash back to stock. Edl wont judge you for being in arb or even when hard brick

Yes, tried it . and also tried factory reset same issue
Did you flash Disable_Dm-Verity?
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397966811
Flash TWRP, enter twrp, format data, type YES, go to MOUNT, disable MTP and then enable again, now transfer the Disable_Dm-Verity file to your phone and flash it. Then try reboot system.

Sorry I don't know what you mean by f2fs but You just flash the orangefox recovery zip with twrp, i flashed dm_verity just to be safe but not sure if it's necessary. Orangefox is also based on TWRP so maybe fsfs works I'm not sure

Are you sure you have the all the drivers installed correctly?
Can you go to fastboot? Is your bootloader unlocked? If yes, try flashing twrp again, and from that a rom

Yes, either magisk, or dm_verity, but i prefer magiks since you'll root anyway. Magisk will stop system from resetting stock recovery in first reboot

You soft bricked because of app uninstall. You will have to flash a fastboot rom with miflash tool. Don't forget to check on CLEAN ALL and NOT clean all and lock inorder to keep bootloader unlocked.

Wipe data, flash recovery stock ROM, reboot and complete the setup, then continue, if the twrp is gone again you'll have to repeat flashing it and magisk.

Hi,
I want to upgrade my smartphone to latest version stable android 10. I'm rooted and use twrp unofficial mauronofrio 3.3.1.12
I'd want to say if these passages are correct
1) upgrade latest unofficial twrp 3.3.1.1.3
2) uninstall magisk canary
3) install latest RMX1931EX_11.C.23 ozip with new twrp
4) install vbmeta.img
5) install canary magisk manager
6) factory reset
7) reboot
Is this procedure correct?
Thanks
