Red Magic 3 CN ROM Android 10 - Nubia Red Magic 3 Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
Can someone make a thread on flashing android 10 CN ROM in details for a beginner?
Rumors are it don't work with tarp and root.
Need help. Global ROM sucks for gaming. So much of lag

CN rom
I promise. That won't make the difference you want. In fact it made mine run worse, and hotter. Too much bloat. Things installed, and running you cNt shut down. It has to be your internet service. My rm3 is faster, for longer then most everyone else I know. Better running still then the New one.

I don't know what to tell you. But the CN rom will not help. I promise. Wouldn't just lie for fun.

Hey!
I wouldn't say that it is not a reasonable form to increase the performance of the phone in games. It is a good ROM with some "little problems", I mean, you decide by yourself how big are the problems I found.
The guide is posted in this theard
Good look flashing the ROM. If you need some help, just reply to this post.

[Q] Making a Game-Machine out of my Wildfire???

Hey first of all, a good day
Second, I'm German so please forgive me my bad english sometimes
Now my question:
Is there a possibillity to make my Wildfire so fast that I can play games like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja (the graphical better games) on my Wildfire.
Also without a 3D-accelerator in my phone.
Actually i have Android 2.2.1 and i also read the terrible thread about the unrooting Froyo a minute ago.
So, if you can help me please say a word. And if you need other Details, i'll give them to you.
Greedz from subersauger and thx.
As of now, theres nothing you can do. When rooted, overclocking and Custom AOSP based ROM's give better performance.
If gaming was your priority, the wildfire is probably not the best choice you could have made when buying your phone.
To play smooth with these games, you need overclock and a custom ROM. Currently some of us are working to install OpenGL libraries in our WF, wich are supposed to make the phone faster and more responsive, expecially with games BUT - you really need root and then a custom ROM first! So, if you already updated to official Froyo you won't be able to root... at the moment. Yeah, in theory it could be possible, but there are some risks to brick your phone. Personally, I would not risk
Oh, and welcome to xda
Okay I am surprised about how fast I get an answer here at this forum, respect.
And I'm glad about it
I asked in different german forums about it and get no reply...
Back to the topic,
I not bought my phone to play games, but it would be nice in boring times to have nice game with me, without carry my psp all the time with me
It's so frustrating with the new OS, it's like psp, I first upgraded and than i had to wait half a year to downgrade her xD
Hopefully it will be not the same by my wildfire
And don't think that I downgrade my phone, cause downgrading my psp were the most terrible 10 minutes in my life xD
But mayby there is nearly a method to install a custom ROM without downgrading.
Or a safe downgrade way.
Downgrade doesnt work yet. You can get rid of the 2.2.1 Update and get back to 2.1, but, there are two negatives to this:
* It's a potentially risky process that can brick your wildfire
* Even if it is successful, the HBOOT remains updated to the newer version, so, rooting still wont work, even though you are at Android 2.1
So, I would suggest waiting for an update from Unrevoked.
Hmm Damn, it's alltime the same, you're wishing for an update and than if have it you wish to get a custom Software which is working a thausend times better. But you can't get it.
Whatever, thanks for the fast reply's and good answers.
I'll waiting for some good news.
Someone's working on OpenGL? Sorry but I'm noob. So openGL is something that you can just install?
wildpuzzle CFW very good to have you can overclock your cpu and have better performance, but not that much as galaxy S and desir

RAM Management and Caching of Apps issue

First of all, "I feel sorry for the people on MIUI Forums, disregarding every bug and making people feel as if we should pay Xiaomi for using their devices "
Coming to the point, we all are aware how bad MIUI is at multitasking on MI 3. Heck, I feel jealous of my Galaxy Core(2+ years old) having 1GB of RAM but still able to hold 3 CHROME tabs along with other apps at once.(My MI 3 on the other hand, -_- )
I am least bothered about the "low ram visible to us" thing people complain.I just want proper multtasking capability on my 2 GIGS of ram, and by multitasking, I mean background caching of apps.
Thus , me being a noob, need help to promote this thread so as to find a way ( like buildprop file tweak etc.) which we can use for the MEMORY MANAGEMENT problems on our STOCK MIUI Roms.
I really have lost all hope that we'll be getting proper sources for bug free ROMS, so this is a humble request to all capable developers that we have here.
Thanks in advance!! :fingers-crossed:

So as an update, after changing Memory Optimisation to "NONE" , the situation has improved only by 8-10% or so, and the RAM management issue remains the same.So I am probably stuck with the phone for another year. Atleast the phone does not lag one bit.

First thing I did when I got this phone, was to flash a custom ROM. I came form a Nexus 4, where very few people use the stock ROM.
Right now, there are plenty of excellent options for the Mi3.
I have been using EOS for about 2 months now, and I highly recommend it. I installed an app called Resource Monitor Pro, which allows you to display available RAM on the screen - I have positioned it to just next to the (centred) clock.
Between updating to later versions of this ROM, I have had 300 hours of uptime without any sort of lag, using all sorts of apps and games: RAM management has been exactly as expected - between 400mb and 600mb free. That is, the ROM is doing a good job of managing memory, killing old tasks and keeping recent tasks in memory until something else comes along.
If I were you, I would read up on how to get into the dangerously addictive world of custom ROMs...
Okay, one more solution if you want to stick to miui (as it is the most stable rom) and not lollipop roms.
Use a third party MiUi rom. These guys have really improved multitasking on the modded miui roms. I don't know if its allowed to post link here, but there you go :

The only reason keeping me from trying a custom rom is a working camera with good pictures, and certain deal breaker bugs.Do you suggest to try the ROM inspite of the above?

Yup.. I'm using it for past 2 weeks. Its very fast as compared to original miui.
1) multitasking is better. On original miui, suppose you have chrome opened with 3 tabs, you get a sms containing OTP, you open the msg, copy the OTP, switch back to chrome and you find that all three tabs start to load again, and whatever transaction you are in between on lost.
But in this ROM tabs dont reload. When you open a lot of apps together, then only old apps are closed automatically..
Try it.. You can flash it on your current MiUi without wiping system or data. Remember to flash Gapps after flashing this rom.. It dont have GApps built in..

Which rom are you using in your Zuk Z2 Plus (not PRO)?

Simple poll.
I am running Fedor917's Resurrection Remix v5.8.0 at the moment based off Android 7.1, but tempted to flash his build of CM14 instead because RR has a lot of useless 'complications' which i would rather be without. How does Fedor CM14 compared against that from davidevinavil, is there any noticeable different in stability, performance and battery life?
i think you guys are confusing cm 13 and 14 bases.

Any bugs?
I tried CM13/Bliss/RR and Mokee on Z2. In the end settled on RR 22/11 build, nice tweaks on top of CM13, I think it uses it's own kernel. Incredibly stable, haven't crashed once since I installed it.
There are a few variants of CM made by different groups as well so keep that in mind.

Hello all.
Sry for this noob question, however I am having a lot of difficulties with this and really would appreciate your help.
I bought this phone for my wife for Christmas, however I was told that some of them have problems with the Google Play store as items keep stuck on downloading.
I am looking everywhere for a solution for this and apparently the only one is to change the ROM.
Well I don't even know how to check which ROM I have, so I can't even answer this simple pool...
Can you help me with this? a step at a time, as I am really noob at this and don't know much about this "flashing" things.
I would love to have google play working, as that would be enough for me to give it to my wife, but if I need to change ROM I know it will void to warranty, so I would prefer not. Anyway, if it has to be...

You will need some help from someone. I currently don't have this phone, but I am very tempted to buy one. Someone needs to help you flash another software. When I get mine and see how it is done I can help. I can help now too, but I never had this phone and it is better to do it first on mine and then help someone

I had to flash the Indian ROM. I required a few set of days, to grasp the knowledge of what bootloader, eld, adb, twrp recovery and all those stuff... But I eventually got it working. It now has an Indian ROM and MoreLocale with the language I need.
I used the tutorial that I found on Zukfans eu

Recommend me a ROM

Hello XDA
I know there is no such thing as the best ROM but I was hoping to do a little cheating and save my self some reading and get some opinions on what would fit me the best.
I use my phone as a business phone and thus my battery is dying constantly. I got ALOT of SMS and my phone is constantly slowing down. I want something that won't seem like a old device.
I want to root to install a new ROM and battery tweaks. Here are my requirements:
MUST be stable
Smooth
Good battery life
I want something I don't have to constantly tweak. With my note 4 I essentially changed so much that at the end it became such a nuisance trying to keep modding etc. I want to set this up and forget about it, unless needed.
Thanks !
Use Paranoid Android 7.2.1
Vertex OS

I understand where you are coming from, but from a practical point of view, if someone recommended a ROM, you may find your experience different from theirs. Happens all the time. Second, it's a good idea to read first. I just got this phone. All I have done is read threads here at xda. Not even so much ROMs, but reading about the phone. This step alone has saved me from myself in the past. Makes it easier to troubleshoot problems.

I agree. I have tested enough roms to conclude that for the 3T there's no point in trying to find something better than stock
Perhaps only something purely based on oxygen os, but more debloated, like freedomOS
basically it doesnt matter, 99% is all placebo.
TugaPower is out-of-box really good, which is LineageOS with some small mods (Viper4Android Audio mod ie.)

Beta with Magisk for root and a kernel of your choice. Get some performance and battery benefits from the kernel (if that's the type you decide to flash). Debloat it. Use Greenify and BetterBatteryStats to eliminate wakelocks.

I guess stock is the best choice here for you. It has no additional battery hungry features like viper but is still stable. You may consider flashing a kernel instead and I would hardly recommend you to read into them since that's the best way to get to know to new kernels.

I would say oos..if u want a flawless stock experience with better battery life, use freedom os..
I personally use oos open beta 12( rooted with magisk) with elemental x kernel..it gives me good battery and flawless performance..apps like substratum and viper 4 arise works fine..
Thanks for all the replies. I tried out RR and had an issue with the WiFi dropping - since this was a business phone I decided not to flash a custom ROM. I am now on OOS open beta, the latest one. Loving the parallel apps feature!
Now to get into theming and modding. I've got the basics down already like greenify, BBS.
Any recommendations on rooted apps? What have I missed in the last year or so

Xiaomi.eu really better ram management?

Hey guys I'm using a mi 8 for three days now and I'm sick of the bad ram management of the MIui 10 globe..tried everything.. I read a few meanings but I wanted to ask again:

I don't think that xiaomi.eu has better ram management. It based on China miui rom with multilingual and Google play services. If you want to stay on miui add apps to autostart and lock these apps at recent apps. If you want to better ram management just try any custom rom based on aosp or los

yes, it's absolutely better. I use it and I switched my parents who are in their mid 70's over to Xiaomi EU and they like it better to. My dad who knows absolutely nothing about about phones, computers or any kind of tech said that to him it feels smoother.
Since 8.15 Xiaomi .EU have adapted Miui 11 apps into the build, I made posts about this in the Best rom section with screenshots.
Personally, I like that there are no ads whatsoever, and that battery life is incredibly good. Especially when the Miui 11 extreme saving function is enabled. This mode limits the device to 9 apps and I havent charge my phone since about 5 days ago, and still have plenty of battery left. Granted, as a test I did not use my usual apps such as Youtube, Twitter, XDA, Reddit. But, I still used it for calls, messenger, hangouts, and reading the news.
Its like anything, it's up to the user. Some people prefer stock, some prefer AOSP, and some prefer custom stock roms such as Xiaomi.EU. There is graph of a recent poll here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/development/index-roms-kernel-recoveries-tweaks-t3853178
Try it, if you don't like it then you have the option to go back. FYI, if you stay on stock you can sign up for early access to official Miui 11 apps , in the settings of the updater. Next to apply for early testing of android Q /Miui 11 before its available. probably in November.
Go here and complete form. : https://event.c.mi.com/global/apply/mipilot/
