This is something I could really use too....if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful !
talked with customer support, they are unsure why it records 25 mins. guess its time to dig into code and see what else there is. I did notice that with a different launcher installed, and set as default, the next day when i turn it on, it goes to stock launcher. must be something hard set after a cold boot to pick a defined set of defaults..

Thnask Jason
not a lot has been done in my off time besides work, did play around with more numbers in the sys folder, and a few in the camera apk itself, still always seems to go back to default after a sit overnight.
has anyone tried system/etc and then media_profiles.xml then changing the values and encoder profile quality.. duration then change it from 30 to whatever..
Its just the buffer size!

Ok,
just been on holiday with this camera and used it in battle so to speak.
What I found regarding the 25 mins time limit is that it is just refering to the amount of video it can deal with in one chunk before it has to process it and store it to the card.
If you tap on the stop button rather than just the pause button, the camera then tells to it is processing and storing to the card then, after a brief wait you can once again tapp the video button and you are good to go for another 25 mins.
The only limit I can see is the size of the storage card.
I hope this makes sense and answers your question.
Thank you so much for your kind reply ,
is there anyway any app can do none stop part auto to record like auto split kind of thing do you think ?
Thnx

Got to admit I hadn't thought about that.
Looks like I might have to do some research with that idea in mind.
There must be an app of some kind that could automate the process, hopefully someone out there will have some ideas too.

Sorry that I can't offer a solution (yet) but I am in the process of writing a video recording app, and I have recorded continuously for over an hour, so it isn't a hardware limitation.

Oh man! I would love to see this app and would gladly pay you for it! Do you need any beta testers because I would be totally game for that. I have noticed that the JB+ camera does not put a time limit on recording but I have no way to use the zoom and focus while doing so.
I just got the camera today in sort of a compromise. My wife needed a video recorder but I wanted a good camera for other things but mostly photographing student art work. I was looking at the QX10 and immediately saw the 2 GB recording limit and decided against it. I open up the camcorder today and see a 25 minute limit! AHHHHH!!!!! Anyway, I have unlimited recording but shoddy control using the JB+ camera.
I bought the Galaxy Camera for 328 and am really enjoying it so far, by the way! Great little piece of machinery.

Not really even at a beta stage yet - I am working on it, got the zoom goiing but haven't got the autofocus hooked up properly yet. The JB+ app may be the best hope as of now, but I'll keep you posted.

Glad to see you are still working on it. I wish I can help but programming is not my forte. I found another app that sort of works (not focus) as far as using the controls but recording doesn't finish right so it is broken. The app is Zoom Camera by Moulasoft.
If you need any graphics for the program let me know. That is one area that I can help with.
Hello sorry for bringing in this question here. I have a Desire 600 and although the camera doesn't have the Zoe Mode, in the gallery I can see or view my photos and videos in zoe preview (video highlight) now, my questions are 1) why I can't save the clips and 2) is this just a demo version?
Thanks a lot people!

Hi twistergear! I can see that you get a lot of help from this forum, pretty nice huh!? In case you still have the "save" video highlight problem edited from your phone I will suggest few things that might workout for you.
1) Update your firmware and
2) install a third party video player like the MX Player.
Now go to your gallery, select the video or photos you like to share and save it. Then, go to your installed video player (MX Player) and locate the video highlight folder and play the saved file. I hope it will work!
Cheers!

I guess it needs additional video codec to render, save and play.
Oh and here's the link for a sample: http://youtu.be/yQtgtiLeLag
So i saw in a friend's iphone that after recording the high fps video, it was possible to edit that original video and edit the slow motion selection whenever they want...
Is this possible in our case (as long as the original 120 fps video is in the phone in the 120p folder)? or will we never be able to edit selections after that one time?
maybe someone develops a video editing app to edit the original video to stretch the timeline again of the original video....

if you have saved the original 120 fps video, you can only edit it again/in album app when you have the Sony Movie Creator installed (look at update center if it isnt installed yet).
now on the video there will appear a little symbol where the video can be opened in movie creator. now you have the possibility to cut the video or to choose a part of the video where you can adjust the speed of the video (1x , 1/2x etc) .
hope this will help

Hi everyone,
I've contacted Huawei a few times, but haven't got an answer.
Does anyone know why the P9 does not support exporting or sharing slowmotion videos? I can only share it on google+, if I do it on instagram, facebook or simply copy and play it on my pc, it plays in regular speed, now slowed down?
What's the point of this function then? Samsung S6 can record the same and simply exports it.
I had a problem were my slow motion videos would only play at normal speed in google photos, I changed the upload setting from high quality to standard alls ok now
Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
play your recorderd slow mo video and tap the screen while paying, you will get a bar where you can set the time where slow mo begins and where it ends, and you have a save button. The newly saved copie will play slowmo on the desired sport rather than the whole film(if you select from begining to the end, it will be the whole film) however I miss the 2x 4x 8x function that I read about

Thanks for the tips! I can see the bar and adjust it, but I can't find the save button anywhere
I now have the problem, that the slowmo correctly plays on the phone, but when I upload to facebook, the slowmo is gone and the video runs at normal speed. Anyone has an idea how to get the slow video to facebook?
Change to where the slowmotion should be on the video and then save the file. When shared it will play as on the phone.
How do I save the file. I change the beginning and end of the slo mo and then share it to Instagram and Instagram previews in normal speed.
Yes I know that I'm digging up in an old topic, but I find it better to get a proper answer once for all rather than asking the same question several times.
save the video

I was having the same "issue". Once you edit the video to show the slowmotion part that you want on the upper right part you will see 3 dots, if you hit them you will get an option to save the video. This Option only shows when the video is playing or on pause.
In Google Photos it's easy and possibly!
Instead of opening it from the gallery I opened it from Google photos, from there I shared it to WhatsApp and others with the effect of slow motion at last

after adjusting ..tap on the three dot at the top right corner of the screen there you will see the option to save slow-mo file and voila

Download Adobe Premiere Clip from the play store and import your slow motion video in to there. Then you can export it as a new file with slow motion intact.

You have to save the slow mo file and export that and it will upload it in slow mo. I do it on IG all the time.

I actually was having the exact same problem, but then i discovered that you simply open your gallery, open your slow-mo video..
Now this is the tricky part :
When you play the video, in the top right corner you'll get the 3 dots option button, click on it and you'll get option to control brightness, audio and there will be an option to save the slow-mo video and share it will play as slow-mo everywhere.
Nite that the 3 dot option button only appears when the video is playing.
like ios app "motion stills" (live photo to gif)
i wanna make gifs using my moving pictures
plz help me
What are you asking? Looks like after recordding it you tap the bottom, select the GIF, press the "forward" looking button and select GIF?
i mean how i convert p10's moving picture into gif
I don't think the built in camera app can do that. But as you say, Motion Stills does

Looking for the same solution on my Huawei Mate 10 Pro. There's currently no way to export your Motion Photos you've snapped as a MP4 or GIF. They're stuck inside the phone and only viewable in the default Gallery app. ?
I am having the same issue on my mate 10 pro. But if I share the moving picture to the Quik app and save it as a mp4. Then use a mp4 to gif convertor, it works. The only issue is Quik adds effects which I am unable to avoid
Hey guys!
I had the same issue with my Huawei P 9 Plus. And then I did like this:
1. Took my motion picture.
2. Opened it to have it close.
3. Made double click with my index and middle's knuckles to run screen shooting.
4. Then I opened GIF-MAKER-GIF Editor app, selected the screen recording and cutted it as I wanted to delete the "reccording frame" and finally I saved it.
5. At last, once you are intended to share it by whatsapp, it will apper a message so it will be sent as a gif but you should convert it into a gif or a video by whatsapp yourself, as it is not supported by whatsapp.
And then you have your motion pincture into a gif! Nice regards from Spain. "AlegrÃa y buen humor!"
I think quik is the only solution... Because these moving jpg files cannot be played by any other program
Basically Huawei appends an MP4 padded at the end of a jpeg.
Had the same quest.. I've copied the jpeg over my PC and opened it up in 010 Editor and applied the JPEG template, which showed entire megabytes of 'unknownPadding'.
Scrolling through those I've seen the "moov" string and a quick search revealed it was an MP4 header.
To actually copy the MP4, you have to select 4 bytes before the "ftypmp42" string (click there, ctrl-shift-end). Now copy them and paste them in a new HEX file.
Apply the 010 Editor Mp4 template now. Notice there is an unknow header at the end. Delete that.
Save and enjoy your Mp4.
It would be great if some hacker could automate this in an app where you share the jpg file to and it extracts the mp4 from it.
Btw, converting to GIF turned a 10MB mp4 into a 22MB Gif, so it is not recommended without re-cropping/resizing.
Get Moments 2 MP4 app from play store. Tested and it works to convert the moving jpgs on my y9 prime to MP4 clips.
