Which TWRP? and more questions.

Hi everyone, I just get a Xiaomi Redmi 9 (lancelot, that is what I think) with MUIU 12 and now I have to wait 7 days to unlock the bootloader. It is a GREAT phone.
Now I have some questions:
Is there a TWRP recovery for MIUI 12? Where I can get it? Does it work well?.
I read about a vendor 12, "OSS system". What are these terms?.
Can I install GSI? Is easy to install?.
Any tips? Any good advice? Any telegram for this phone? dm me.

Orangefox is better than twrp and is based of it. Basically the same with more features.
Also make sure your phone is Redmi 9 Lancelot because that recovery is for that.

Steps to Install
Backup boot.img if in case you want to revert to stock.
Flash the ZIP file in recovery. This also contains source-compiled DTBO and DTB images.
Reboot.
Caution
This kernel will NOT WORK on devices with the newer xinli/tianma panels whose drivers Xiaomi has not provided as of yet. We will need Xiaomi to release the Android 11 kernel source for this device in order to fix the issue.

Nope, we do not ship Wireguard at the moment.

For Android 11 ROMs either MiUI or AOSP based custom ROM.

This kernel doesn't support NFC on miuipro 12.5 android 11

Only AOSP based ROMs atm. If it's on MIUI based ROMs, some stuff might not work out of the box.

Uh I have found 1 unofficial rom android 12 but, I have found it in yt (not my channel) and idk what that person was saying (some other language) but got android 12 in lime/juice/citrus...here's link

And yah, I haven't tried it and, I just heard of this rom today so and, its android 12 (not so famous)+unofficial rom and from yt of someone who's speaking some language which I dnt know so, if u get this rom, u might enjoy many bugs. Good luck with that rom

Another UnOfficial build released. Now I'm using this Rom and I don't have any problems with the Rom.

I don't feel safe downloading files from such informal sources, hopefully we'll see Android 12 on these forums soon.

Android 12 ancient os is official and best

Uh I don't think if ancient os is much optimised. Just check it's benchmarks in that rom

Guys, I know that I'm not the first nor the last to ask you this. But do you know if will be officially deployed via OTA to Mi 9T Pro?

It looks like our phone isn't supported by xiaomi right now. So we will not get any updates anymore.

funny thing is that on official forum they told me that there is not a denial about 12.5+ for Mi 9T Pro

As I found on the one of the forums, They released MIUI12.5 enhanced for our smartphone, but ONLY in China.

I have no words really

Our Mi 9T Pro will do be updated to 12.5+ because is eligible to MIUI 13 according with this official list that is being shared in official Xiaomi telegram group:

I've seen that same/similar list back in Nov or Dec (and posted it somewhere here to XDA) but in these six months did not see any move towards (and Xiaomi.eu, that releases beta versions of Xiaomi's firmwares does not have any phone whose name starts with "Mi 9" in their MIUI 13 programme)
And btw, I recently saw another list, stating the batch of phones to obtain MIUI 13 in the sec. part of 2022, and your Renoir was not listed (neither my Davinci)
Frankly, I don't expect MIUI 13 (based on A11) for those old phones. I still have my Mi 9T but no more as a daily driver

I have 4gb of ram variant too and my bl is locked, I have Indonesian rom tho, maybe that's the reason it works
