Hello I know that YouTube Vanced is deleted from the Magisk Repo due to Google's new System APK Signature verification, but I really don't care to have the latest YouTube Version installed as Vanced, can someone please upload the latest YouTube Vanced zip file that was available on the Magisk repo? Thanks ^^
You can always just go to the Vanced website, click the link for old versions and use the installer with wherever version you want to install as a Magisk module.

Yeah... They usually change URLs quite often (don't know why). Currently it seems to be https://vancedapp.com/

I need help in getting rid of those extremely annoying youtube ads before something plays... My device is rooted so im sure there's an easy way?
Lastly is there any way to enable youtube playback with screen off or in a different window? (there used to be a xposed module for this a long time ago...)
THANKS !!!
Check out the iYTBP thread. Should be in the General Android Apps&Games section.
It's basically YouTube with bg playback and inbuilt adblocking

Ah, you don't necessarily need the Magisk variant. I wouldn't recommend it, just clutters Magisk imho.
Go for the rootless variant, install the iYTBP-Youtube and MicroG-for-iYTBP (both can be found on the MediaFire links or AFH) and just launch&setup with your primary account you use YT usually with.
Don't worry about battery. I'm using that combo on my N8 (rooted w/ Magisk) aswell and it's no drainage.
download tutuapp apk.. then download youtube ++ and iYTBP from tutuapp store:good: It will also work on non rooted phone
I installed iYTBP manually & it works great. Really easy. Uninstall prev YT, create folder, copy iYTBP apk, set permissions & reboot.

Alright, good to hear it works again. Just beware that as soon as Magisk looses root randomly or it crashes accidentally, iYTBP will need a reboot to work whereas the non-root variant will work regardless of Magisk status (which makes it a tad more attractive, don't you think )
Yeah that makes sense, I've been having issues with magisk loosing root to often now... I'll give it a go...
Oh, how about blocking YouTube ads that appear from external pages? For example if i click on a video link from Facebook... It opens a browser version of YouTube and that has ads... Anyway to stop these?
the module Sony Framework has not been updated for magisk 19.1 and therefore has been removed by magisk manager, someone can update it and run it on magisk 19.1, I want to use PS4 Remote Play!

Of course it works, that's the module that's being discussed. Issue is that it was never updated to the new template and has now been removed from the repo.
For anyone wanting to get a hold of the files it can currently be found in the Modules grave: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Grave/SonyFramework

Yes. The repo grave has been cleared. Anyone wanting to keep working on this will need to find the files somewhere else.
I found this repo in github "corejarpatch/SonyFramework" (I can't post links yet) but when I try to install it, it says "Magisk is not activated".
Hope that someone can make it work

It works as expected.
However, you have to open the .zip and modify it slightly.
I attached a working, flashable version for 19.1 by @pedriterman. Here is a link as well.
Thank you @pedriterman !

Your error told me exactly what the problem was - an extra folder was nested inside before the files. Had to repackage the zip. Just finished booting after installing the module. Looks like someone else posted a working version.

Forgot to tell that you have to unzip, take the content from the folder and zip again
YouTube vanced is a modified version off the app with many features including background play and ad blocking. Read more here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-youtube-vanced-edition-t3758757
I used the following successfully :
- Oneplus 7 Pro with oxygen os v10.3
- Riru core magisk module v19.7
- Riru edxposed magisk module v0.4.5.1_beta Yahfa
- An xposed module called "core patch" V1.2.0 listed as the very first module on the official Taichi page https://taichi.cool/module/
- The settings shown in the screenshot. Once YouTube vanced was installed I unchecked the module in Edxposed and YouTube is still functional
- YouTube Vanced v15.05.54 installed with SAI v3.4 as described in the above post
That is only for the non root version of the app. The root version is fully functional without needing micro g installed and you could even remove all the magisk and exposed parts once its been installed.
The root version replaces the original YouTube app and all the system integration stuff works. Non root has a different package name and installs along side the normal youtube app. This means some features end up using the regular app instead of vanced

Can't u smali our systemui? It becomes a magisk module
Just use non root version or install the vanced magisk module very simple. You don't need any form of exposed (tai-chi or edxposed) and os version does not make a difference. Another simple thing made into a mess.
The exposed module had been discontinued specifically because you now need exposed or some other method to disable signature verification.
Read the dang link and you'll understand why this is useful
"Magisk:
As we are disabling signature verfication, root version are installed to /data/app and /system/app. So magisk module is useless now and makes nonsense to us.
Therefore, Magisk version is discontinued."
A question. I have YT vanced as installed by xxx limits and it works fine. When I try to play a song or video that is apparently rated MA, I'm asked to sign in to verify my age. If I try to sign in, it says that microG is not installed.
I don't have a need for this too often, but I ask how others have gotten around it. Or do I just install micro G?

This isn't phone specific. It's just the way magisk works now. The magisk github change log explains why
