I need to talk to someone who understands touchscreens ( how it's made / working ) any help would be much appreciated
What is the problem?

Hi i have youtube loading problem. After i select video the video plays for some time like minute.
Or less. Then the application startes to buffer for a very long time and often do not finish.
The wifi is not the problem as the computer is working without problem and there is no problem with buffering.
The lg 4x hd is with 4.0.3
The youtube version is 4.2.16

Check you youtube settings...
Or try installing flash player...
I ran all firmware versions and never had problems with youtube. You tried other wi-fi connection?

On other Wifi I had the same problem but these was public and I'm not shure if they had enught capacity (of they were overloaded).
i did not installed the flash. I see that the Adobe has canceled the flash from app store. Do you have and recomendation for replacement flash player?

I have installed this one
mob.hr / flash-za-android-je-mrtav-sto-sad
This should be link but the forum block it so I have saparated it.
This is the Adobe flash 11.1 version but the same problem exsist. The streaming drops dead after some time.
If I choose different song the same happens (it will imidetly start (after second of two) and then after ~ minute it will die again)

I have no idea what it could be... You can try to reflash. Maybe there's something wrong with your OS.

Really don't know. I dont have such or any issues so far as I did a full wipe before updating to 4.3. Did You?
I will suggest you remove the app and reinstall the latest update from Sony update centre. See how it plays out.

Try MX Player https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad&hl=en is very good and support HD movies and AVCHD, is all about codecs.
See if it crashes, if not is the Movie app on your phone.
found solution for this
Finally i found solution for this problem... i just uninstalled "Video unlimited" add and now everything working fine.. because of the integration of Video unlimited my Movies app was crashing... now after uninstalling video unlimited everything working fine...
Anyone experiencing YouTube issues with the 6.0.1 update? When I scroll while watching a video the video lags. I googled some solutions and turned on disable hw overlay in the dev settings and that helped.
But now the video freezes while watching it in landscape. So I'm not really sure what to do.
Tried uninstalling the app and clearing data, cache, reinstalling etc. Any ideas?
Bump
Youtube for me is ok , i am un 6.0.1
I get lag while scrolling too
I have no issue with youtube. I use it daily and never see a bit of lag. Mind you I use an aosp based rom that is 6.0.1.
Damn. I might have to do a full wipe.
I enabled 'disable hw overlay' and all is ok, both portrait and landscape mode.

This solution for me worked for Youtube and Twitch, but totally broke Netflix (no image on videos, just sound) and I had to reverse the change to be able to watch on it again.

I have the same issue and its making me crazy! I'm going to try downgrading to a different version of youtube to see if it continues. If that doesn't work then I'm gonna format the phone completely

Probably won't work, because even twitch has the same issue, so this seems more general in stock 6.0.1 ROM.
If your clean install work please post here.

Now it works if you enable disable HW overlay in the developer setting. I heard about this fix somewhere.

Yes, I said in a previous post. This fixes the YouTube problem (and Twitch as I saw with the same issue), but it breaks other video apps. After switching this option in developer settings I couldn't see videos in Netflix anymore (you can hear it, but no image).

Lol now I remember where I saw it. Well I don't use Netflix so I'm good for now. Hope an update fix the issue
I'll do a clean install later on next week. Upgrading computer currently. But hw overlay does fix the YouTube problem for now at least. I have to pause and press play on the video to get it to not freeze so that's still annoying
Any updates from anyone? Just upgraded to the newest update and the problem persists. Hw overlay still fixes the problem however my other video apps like Netflix and Google play movies just give a black screen until I disable it.
(Was a clean install)

Works for me! Still some laggy scrolling in other apps - but YouTube now works perfectly.
Running CM13 latest nightly.
Both video and audio stutter when playing media video. Tried on Youtube and Pornhub.
However this didn't happen before yesterday when i tried to play flash content http://www.ddsahyadri.in/liveTv.php. This happeed after this incident or maybe i never noticed this lag as i hardly use HP to stream video.
I tried to fix this, Disabled all addons( ublock origin, privacy badger,Https everywhere, Dark bg &Light text) and tried playback again, nothing changed. Video was still laggy.
I've reinstalled Firefox with no addons installed , still stuttering is present.
Anyone else have this issue ?

Yes, yes i did.
So you don't have a choppy video playback on Firefox ?
No. But I don't use add-ons on mobile Firefox so I wouldn't know. Someone said that when under 20% phone becomes slower, maybe that's the deal? Also, did you restart your phone soon?

I have choppy playback everywhere on my Honor Play COR-TL10, ON YouTube, chrome and Instagram as well. It sucks
Hope EMUI 9 fixes it soon. Or we get a custom rom with good graces of developers

The battery was at around 80 percent.
At first i uninstalled FF then rebooted my device after which did a fresh install of FF with no extra addons.
The problem still persisted.
Seeing that nothing worked i thought the theme was maybe causing the issue so i removed the EMUI dark theme did a restart. Installed of FF performed a hard boot. And so after 3-4 reboots the videoplayback on Firefox is not choppy now : )
