I need to uninstall google maps updates, but I don't see this option anywhere. Is there an application that finds the update? Thanks

I'm wondering if anyone know of a sort of whitelist when it comes to uninstalling system apps?
I'm running a stock 2.2 Android with root access and would like to uninstall all those pesky stock system apps that come with the Samsung rom. AllShare, Aldivo, Mini Diary, google maps, layar, latitude and so on.
I can uninstall them with Uninstaller for Root for example, but I'm sure some of these might generate errors if you just remove them.

Install Titanium Backup from the Market, this allows you to ackup or uninstall ALL apps.

Without any errors?
I can uninstall _all_ apps already, but I'm unsure if doing this will generate any unwanted errors.
i tryed everything to remove a app but it just keeps showing up
what do i do?
What kind off app? System app, something you download from market or side load?
If you want to uninstall apps that came preloaded that don't have an option to uninstall in the market or settings, then you can use Titanium Backup and force uninstall them. You have to be rooted though.
If it shows up after an uninstall, then not sure why it's doing that.
Hi everyone,
Hopefully someone can help so I dont have to do a factory reset.
After upgrading to 4.1.2 through Samsung, Google maps won't run and the service constantly crashes, freezing the phone for up to a minute at a time.
Looking at aLogCat, I see
Activity Manager warnings abount com.google.android.apps.maps crashing too many times,
and a Fatal signal 11 (SIGSERV) for droid.apps.maps.
I can't uninstall Google Maps (no option to from the application manager), and I can't even find it in the play store.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!
Try clearing it's data, also uninstall all updates and then update it.
Thanks, but no good...

Thanks for your reply
Not sure how to rollback... from app management i only have force-stop and disable, no uninstall or roll-back.
Tried clearing the data + cache already. no good.
Would like to keep the phone unrooted for security purposes.
Would hate to factory reset or change mod and re-install all my apps, contacts etc.
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Hi all,
I've installed Omar's ROM, but since some versions i can't update google apps (gmail, and music).
I have this message :
"The package file was not signed correctly. Please uninstall the previous copy of the application and try again."
But i can't uninstall the app, and i try to flash again the ROM, format system/, ... no changes.
(i can't post the screenshot but this is the translation of the message from the play store)
Any idea?
Thx
PS : sorry for my poor english
Install 'Uninstall Master' (free) from the market. This will allow you to uninstall your google apps.
Go to market and reinstall and see if that helps?

MOD EDIT: Thread closed as this is the wrong section for module requests. Please read these guidelines for more info.
Is it possible to create module that will block updates for specific app? I mean, that: I have Foursquare app installed, but I don't want to update it, because new update moves check-ins only into swarm. If I don't update, I can use older version with check-ins in Foursquare app without swarm. In Google Play store (in phone) I can't use button „update all" because it will update also Foursquare app (updating apps one by one is lenghty). If I disable updates for it over Titanium Backup, then it will not show in Google Play to update, but if I restart my device, then there is Foursquare again.
