Issue with BT and Car Audio system - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Hi,
when I start my car, my phone doesn't connect automatically to my car bluetooth (mitsubishi ASX 2012) and doesn't play music from phone like all my old phones do.
If I make or receive a call, then the phone connects to my car, but when the call is over it disconnects again form the car.
I found a solution to this problem: on bluetooth "other setting" I select my car device and turn off "multimedia audio" option and after a few seconds turn on it again. In this way all works well, but I would like fix it permanently without my manual intervention every time.
I have MIUI Global 12.0.1.0. (QFKMIXM, android 10 QKQ1.190825.002) but this bug was already present on MIUI 11.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Same thing for me in my Honda, im on mortal os latest. It worked on stable build xiaomi.eu 12.0.2.0
Now i have to do the same trick as you or use an aosp rom it works perfectly there).

I have similar issue with hotspot turned on - as soon as i turn it on, it repeatedly disconnects my bluetooth devices, and also hotspot client connections.
it was present in MIUI 11, also is present in MIUI12, nothing helped, even full factory reset.
It was last time i bought xiaomi i think.

Try resetting / wiping wifi and BT settings from share/connections.
I have my device in Spanish so not sure how it's called in English

Same issue with my 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer! How annoying.

After trying all the suggestions listed, including turning the phone connection and media connection settings on both my phone and my car stereo off and on in various sequences, I've finally found a solution.
Go to developer options > networking > Bluetooth AVRCP version
The default setting is AVRCP 1.4, change it to AVRCP 1.5
This fixed it instantly for me.
Hope this helps anyone else with this issue :fingers-crossed:

Diamond Bluetooth HeadSet Bug

Ok, not sure if anyone got the same problem as mine, but here is my problem:
I have a Diamond using AZTOR v7 Rom, radio vBS14 if that matters and Sony Ericsson DS205 as my headset. I start my bluetooth on my diamond and can pair up with the DS205 without any problem. I can also listen to music without lag and sound is also crystal and solid.
When there is a call kicks in, I can answer the call by pressing a button on my DS205..... However, the problem comes when I end my call, the headset will be disconnected afterward and I have to manually press a button on the DS205 to make it reconnect. Each time when I make a call or when I receive a call the headset will be disconnected.
Luckily (or not), I found a workaround: Whenever I pair up my headset, I need to go to Setting -> Bluetooth -> and "Refresh" the services that I want to enable on the DS205 headset. That involves un-checking the services enabled (including "Wireless Stereo" and "Hands Free") and re-checking the services again. After I have done this "resetting", the disconnection problem I described above will be gone.....
Each time I restart the phone or have the bluetooh disabled on the phone, I need to go through that manual procedure again to make my headset work perfectly.
As you can imagine, that is quite annoying.......does anyone have the same problem as me?
I don't have this problem, but i have another problem, when i use the orignal rom, i can use my headset(jabra bt3030) in my diamond and it will automatically connect to use hands free and wireless stereo mode when i turn on bluetooth, so when i change to use swift 7.5 full rom, i have to resetting the bluetooth in diamond everytime when i close bluetooth
I can only get wireless stereo for my Plantronics Bluetooth Stereo headset. Any ideas why I can't get hands-free. Radio issue?
It was possible with some earlier ROM, but I can't remember which... (yes, I'm a flashing addict).
I'm having the same exact problem & it's annoying as hell. At this point, I can't get the bluetooth function on the phone to activate at all. I use the same bluetooth on another phone with no problems whatsoever, so I know it's the phone. I'm running the original rom.....not a flasher.
Have you tried Jetware?
Sorry, just installing this doesn't change anything. Still no hands-free.
Is there a specific option you want us to set?

Yes - I have a very similar problem with my jabra SP700. The Diamond 'forgets' the wireless bluetooth mode every time I disconnect the two devices (although the Stereo Bluetooth icon is still showing in the status bar).
For a short while I was having to re-pair the devices every time I got in the car - until I found the same workaround as you.
There must be a proper solution???
Hello, I had that problem in my HTC Diamond with Pioneer DEH-700bt and my jabra 3030 and she solves when changing in the registry the key to it that identifies the device in pocketpc HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/Sys the key "COD" and I introduced the value decimal 5898764 that identifies the device in smartphone
luck

Pairing the Bluetooth with Jabrasp700?

Hi All,
I just got a Jabra SP700 after pairing it with my Kaiser everything works fine ( making a call, receiving a call, Playing music through FM radio and TT navi. through the radio). The problem is when I disconnect the devices and turn them both on they will reconnect automatically but I can't hear anything through the SP700 ( FM Radio ). I will have to delete the device from the phone and pair it again in order to make it work.
Is there a better software for managing the bluetooth connections?
Open to any suggestions.
Thanks.

I have the same problem with my SP700 and my Tritton BT stereo headset.Phone calls work almost all the time through the SP700 speaker, but playing music or through the FM radio seems to be a problem. I can get them to pair up sometimes by only checking the Wireless Stereo box. It works for a few times, but then I have to delete and re-pair again.
I've searched for all over for answers, but nothing seems to be a permanent fix. It's very frustrating to use my devices for anything else but phone calls.
Just to add a bit of info, I do not have any problems with my old Motorola HS820. Of course, I'm not using SP700.
Hope that helps your troubleshooting.
I have exactly the same problem with hte SP700 connecting to a Touch HD.
I notice there is a software upgrade for the SP700 on the Jabra site but I can't get to apply it because I lack a driver to allow the PC to recognise the JAbra SP 700.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Possible solution
Hi
I have had similar problems with the SP700. I was using the Hyperdragon III before the current ROM (in signature). With my old ROM I found that the following method worked:
1) Turn on the SP700
2) Wait for it to make one low tone
3) Turn bluetooth onto discoverable mode on the phone
4) The device then automatically connects over both Hands Free and Wireless Stereo protocols
5) Turn discoverable off
Now that I have the Hyperdragon IV ROM I notice slightly different behaviour:
1) Turn on the SP700
2) Wait for it to make one low tone
3) Turn bluetooth onto discoverable on the phone
4) The device then automatically connects over hands free protocol
5) Go into bluetooth settings on the phone then the devices tab and manually connect by selecting "Set as Wireless Stereo" from the pop up context menu- this connects over the wireless stereo protocol
6) Turn discoverable off
One thing I do find very annoying about the SP700 is that it disconnects from the Wireless Stereo protocol after a phone call is ended. When this happens I have to manually re-connect it by pushing the button on the SP700 until it peeps.
I too would value a software upgrade for the SP700. I just get the feeling that it has somehow shipped with a beta or incomplete firmware. If anybody knows how to do the firmware upgrade please share this.
Thanks

Found a solution that works for me!
First of all thanks guys for the suggestions !
I think SP700 works fine ( GREAT! ) but the issue is with the A2DP. I found out that A2DP turns on the first time after pairing the devices but it does not turn off. So the next time you pair the devices it is turned on and won't accept the new connection. So what I tried to do was after connecting I turned off A2DP and turned it back on and it works fine.
Suggestion
Search for A2DP Toggle, install it and after pairing the devices if it doesn't work just turn A2DP off and back on.
I assigned the 6th hardware button on my Kaiser (PTT Button) to A2DP Toggle that way I can have access to it all the time.
Works great.

Thanks! Nice App! Tried it with my Tritton BT stereo headset and it works! Had to install to my device instead of Storage card, then had to delete and re-pair, but it so far I can toggle between on and off Stereo Headphones without any problem. Will try on my SP700 shortly.
I attached the Cab if anyone else wants it.
Thank you!
Works with SP 700!!!!!

When the software loads, follow the instructions, do not install with any of the microsoft wizards that pop up, it will install itself. I couldn't find anything that lists what changes that were made.
SP700 Firmware
FYI,
I too had the same issues and downloaded the sp700 firmware update. I thought the same thing about the drivers, but called Jabra and they told me the firmware update has the drivers embedded in it. When you start the install you cannot plug it in till it tells you to. After you plug it in it installs the drivers. But BEWARE I have not been able to complete the upgrade, it stopped halfway and bricked. I called support and they said there is nothing to do, but luckily I bought it from Costco and they returned it. So being not so bright I tried it again but on a different computer (thinking that there might be a conflict) and it didn't even load and bricked it again. So I returned it yet again. So then I gave up on Jabra support and found A2DP toggle. It works good enough, so I am leaving it at that....

I have the exact problem that you are having with the new, Hyperdragon IV, ROM.
Is this A2DP Toggle really the only way - I mean what's the difference between pressing a button on my Kaiser to reconnect and pressing the button on the SP700 ??
I have tried using Mortscript as shown http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382172&highlight=a2dp&page=2 Although I edited the end out because it kills the player after ending a call. This hasn't helped either
I am off to see if the same problems occur with my lady's N96. If not and no good solution can be found for this I may have got her a new present.
Aren't I nice ?!
Found another possible solution, it,s called zoA2DP. So far it works flawlessly between my SP700 & stereo headset without having to toggle anything or change any settings. When you install it, delete your original pairings and add them again, make sure that hands free & wireless stereo are checked in advanced options on you BT settings. I believe this is a registry mod, there are no icons or any noticeable applications running in the backround.

[Q]/[HELP] Xperia Z-SBH20 connection issue

Hello!
I bought an SBH20, paired with my XZ via NFC, listened to music, then disconnected the headset, using the NFC.
After a while, i tred to connect again via NFC but all i get is a 'connecting' message, BT turning on -white BT icon- but no real connection, therefore the BT turns off.
After several tries it finally connects, but it's not reliable this way.
I noticed, if i enter to settings(not turning anytihng on/off) and trying to connect (still using NFC), everything works fine: connects, disconnects perfectly, and handles the BT as it should.
I've reseted the headset, tried single and multi point modes aswell. Deleted the BT devices, then repaired, still got the problem.
Am i doing sth wrong? I want to connect and disconnect the headset with a simple touch, and not toggling the BT manually (NFC yeah...) Is this something, SBH20 is not compatible with?
(btw sony support says: "For subsequent connections between devices that have already been paired once, make sure that Bluetooth™ is turned on so that the devices can connect automatically." If it's a "must" , then what is the [email protected] use of the NFC??? Just to pair once???)
Please share your experiences! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading ( and sorry for my english)
I actually have the same problem using the SBH50. For me sometimes it connects perfectly fine, other times it doesn't and I have to go into bluetooth settings after which it seems to connect properly.
I have noticed that it also depends on how I disconnect it; if I remember to touch the headset to disconnect then next time when I try to connect I have more chance of it being successful. Also, when I try to connect I hold the headset aganist the phone even after the ‘connecting’ popup until I get the 'connected' popup.
These are just work-arounds which aren’t always 100% successful though so would be good to find out what the proper method is.

It is a real shame... In my case it's the opposite, if i touch the headset to disconnect, the next nfc-connect tends to be less successful.
(and i noticed that it also matters if i turn off the headset after disconnected, or not)
And what is really odd, that i don't have to do anything in the settings menu ( or bluetooth settings) just open it, and everything works like a charm...( all connect or disconnect tries are succesfull, no exception, even if i push the headset repeatedly to the pohone's back)
I'm not affraid to mod some system files, apps, maybe build.prop tweaks, but i don't know where to start. In bulild.prop there are only a few nfc related lines (tried to enable/disble those)
So i'm not alone...maybe even more people are in the same boat, trying to solve this.
Again; any related info is welcome
I also have a sbh50 but i normally disconnect by turning off the headset. I have set it in smartconnect to turn off bluetooth automatically when the connection shuts off but it doesnt always do that.
It reconnects with no issues when bluetooth is on and i turn the headset on again. I use the nfc tap only for the initial pairing.
The only issues I have is the google music skipping issue that i posted the other day and the gmail smart connect not working on the sbh50

Well, then we don't have the same issue. I tought i could use the nfc for connect/disconnect (i actually still think it is capable of that, just sony messed up sth)
Could you try to connect/disconnect and connect again with your devices, please
I'm really curious about this whole nfc story ( why does the headset have the chip/tag if it only works for initial pairing -its not a big deal to pair manually, especially that it has to be done just once-, and on the other hand: if i put nfc in the device, why not put in this functoin too- not a big deal: a proper working BT toggle, but it brings a tad more functionality-

[Q] Issues with Moto X and two Bluetooth devices

I searched this forum and didn’t see any posts related to this issue directly, please direct me to any existing threads if I may have missed them. Sorry for the length of post, but I wanted to be as detailed as possible to fully explain the issue.
I am having some issues with the Bluetooth connections that I use in my car. I had this setup working previously on my Droid Razr Maxx with no issues, and was really hoping it would carry over to my Moto X.
I use Tasker in my car and have several profiles setup based on my Bluetooth connection state. When I enter my car, I connect to my General Motors Bluetooth for hands free calling. This connection works without issue. I also have a small USB powered Bluetooth audio receiver that converts the Bluetooth stream to a 3.5mm cable and goes into the radio deck for audio. It was a pretty cheap dongle that I got on eBay. It doesn’t have a brand name on it, but it comes up in my phone as “dmzmusic”. I’ve never had any major issues with it before, other than on occasion it fails to turn on when the car starts, but shutting the car off and turning it back on again works fine.
Last week I had my phone in a basically stock 4.4 state. Not rooted, nothing changed, etc. When I would get in the car, General Motors Bluetooth connected just fine. I did not happen to take any phone calls last week, so I’m not sure about how well that was working. I’ll get to this in a minute. My other connection for dmzmusic seemed to connect and then very quickly disconnect. This was evidenced by my Tasker profile launching Pandora, which it is supposed to do when it connects to dmzmusic. However, Pandora immediately exited again, and when I went to the Bluetooth settings, only General Motors was connected. If I tapped on dmzmusic in the list of paired devices, it connected and worked fine.
Over the weekend I rooted my Moto X with SlapMyMoto, which was quite a long process, but in the end, I was rooted and all was well. This morning, I got in my car and re-paired both devices mentioned above. When the Tasker profile fired for dmzmusic, I watched it launch Pandora, and then close it within a few seconds (there is an exit task to kill Pandora). It did this cycle three times, and then apparently stopped trying. As with before, I tapped on the connection and it worked fine. It launched Pandora, music played my whole way to work, and Pandora was killed when I arrived at work.
Now, back to the General Motors issue. Today when I was driving to work in the lovely Minnesota weather, my boss called to see where I was. My music paused, but my radio deck did not show an incoming call on the screen. I pressed the hands-free answer button, but it didn’t work. I picked up the phone and swiped right to answer, but it didn’t come through on Bluetooth. So I started talking on the handset, and after about 30 seconds, it connected to the radio and hands-free worked. When I was done with the call Pandora and music resumed, as it should.
So my question is, has anyone else had any issues with hands free Bluetooth, and/or any issues when using a hands-free device AND a media only device? In the Bluetooth settings, my General Motors connection only has the option for phone. The dmzmusic device has phone and media, but I have unchecked phone so it’s set to media only, if that makes any difference.
I know it’s a somewhat unique situation, but it’s really annoying that it doesn’t work. Tonight I am going to test having a few seconds delay on the Pandora task to see if that helps the repeat cycle that it did this morning.
Thanks!

Yup... My Dev GSM Moto X on 4.2.2 connected just fine to my Mazda for both Phone and A2DP everytime I entered or exited the car. With 4.4, I'd have to manually go into Bluetooth and have the phone connect to the car. Very annoying... Haven't had that happen since ICS days.. Might have to downgrade to 4.2.2 again just to make this go away.
Bluetooth working fine on 4.4 with my Hyundai Elantra. Phone and A2DP. Maybe try repairing?

Thanks. I wasn't able to test it on 4.2.2 (it took right away OTA out of the box) with my Moto X, but it was working fine on my Droid Razr Maxx on 4.1.2 Jelly Bean before I got the Moto X.
I will have to try and see how it works with just the A2DP device without the handsfree. I rarely ever talk on the phone, and with the Touchless Controls I could call people and just pick up the phone. Or turn the phone portion back on for the A2DP device so the sound would come through my speakers but I'd still have to use the mic on my phone...
Still annoying. Thanks again for the reply.

Both pair automatically together when you enter the car?
I can get them to coexist, but I have to manually add the A2DP device. The car radio (General Motors) connects fine, but the A2DP cycles and then gives up, it seems.
I will try pairing them in a different order, and temporarily disabling or adding a wait clause to my Tasker profile to see if it works without that.
Thanks,
I have a Dension BT gateway for my car that provides BT audio and hands free. My phone connects automatically as long is bluetooth is turned on. I also connect to a BT OBD2 adapter sometimes, and I tried it today, and I kept playing Pandora via BT and also connected to the OBD2 adapter and had data going from both of them.

Yeah, but they aren't a separate connection I don't think. Pretty sure the one connection handles both.
Seems to be an issue with the A2DP device specifically. I unpaired my car and the dmzmusic device and repaired them both, same result. I added just the dmzmusic, and got the same thing.
I changed my Tasker profile to just flash a toast message to show it connecting and disconnecting instead of firing Pandora to see if that mattered and it didn't. I did not try disabling the Tasker actions entirely to see if that worked.
I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones at home that I may try as well to see if it will connect to those. They fire the same task as the dmzmusic does to launch Pandora when they connect, and kill it when they disconnect.
Hoping this gets fixed, because it's VERY annoying.
Is it possible to submit this to Google/Moto as a bug if it is a larger problem with all A2DP devices?
But it's not a problem with all A2DP devices. Works fine with both my 2013 Hyundai Elantra and my Jaybird Freedom buds.

Thanks. I will try it with the Philips bluetooth headphones as well. The device in my car is pretty cheap. I don't know what version of Bluetooth it has, but it was only about $5. Anyone know of a similar device that can receive a Bluetooth audio signal and convert it to 3.5mm, and is powered by USB?

Well I sort of solved this. There's an app in the Play Store called Bluetooth Auto Connect. This can connect to bluetooth devices with a set of conditions and states, and works as a plug-in to Tasker. I told it to connect to dmzmusic upon connection to any other bluetooth device (in this case, my General Motors hands free). Worked perfectly. Thought you'd like to try it out for your dual device setup.
However, I also have a new issue. It seems the reason my phone call wasn't on bluetooth at first was due to some sort of connection issue with the General Motors unit. While driving home tonight, every few minutes my car radio said Connected. And every time I turned the car screen on to thumb up a song on Pandora, it flashed Connected to a trusted device. Which implied to me that it was disconnecting periodically. No idea why it would do this. Didn't see any setting for it in bluetooth, and battery saver isn't on.
Anyone seen something like this? Will try tomorrow without the trusted device settings to see if that matters....
I noticed a similar auto-connect issue with mine, when I was attempting to troubleshoot the stuttering A2DP issues I'm having. If I have the HFP and A2DP profiles both enabled, they both connect right up when the ignition is on. If I have the HFP profile disabled, and only A2DP enabled, it doesn't connect right away and I usually have to manually force it. Very strange. This whole BT situation on this phone has been a pretty big disappointment for me, since I had everything working great with my GNex (running 4.3) and now it's like I've lost the heart of my car audio system.
I bought the Kinovo BT dongle for my wife for Christmas, so it will be interesting to see how that works with her Moto X. I'm pretty excited about trying out the AptX encoding for lossless audio, but I doubt she will even notice the difference.
Just to give you an update.. I downgraded to 4.2.2 and it connects to my Mazda automatically just fine.. Upgraded to 4.4 and the problem returns.. No apps.. Stock + root. Keep in mind that the problem lies only with the auto connect aspect of it.. Streaming/calls work fine but only after manually connecting.

Did you look at the auto connect app? It worked fine for me. My Bluetooth stopped working for a day or two because I froze a process without realizing what it was so BT wouldn't turn on at all. I think I have to remove and repair both of my devices to get the same setup I had on my Razr Maxx on 4.1.2,
The connecting/disconnection and/or 1-2 minute lag from my General Motors hands-free connection was annoying too. Have to see if that persists. I tried making the A2DP device the trusted one to see if that changes anything.
Really hoping this is something that Moto can/does fix, especially through a Play Store push like they've done with Active Display and the camera app.
not that this is much help for the OP, but my subaru auto connects voice (calls) automagically each time. it also auto-pairs/connects with my TuneLink audio (BT receiver for audio output over headphone/FM).
in the bluetooth settings, the settings button next to your device brings up the paired bt device profile. check to see if all of your devices are registered correctly. for example, my subaru says, "phone audio" and my tunelink says, "media audio".
to help complicate/annoy/support above, i also have a soundbar and BT house phone (cordless). both devices behave the same way my car/tunelink do.

Thanks. I do have the boxes ticked in the device settings for which stream to use. The General Motors connection only has Phone Audio (and it's checked) and the dmzmusic A2DP device lists Phone Audio and Media Audio, only Media is checked.
Did you have these devices setup on 4.2.2 before taking the upgrade to 4.3? Did you wipe in the process? Wondering if that's why @totempole had the issue if he is rooted, he probably wiped the device in the process SBFing back to 4.2.2. If you aren't rooted and didn't wipe between 4.2.2 and 4.4, that could explain why it works OK for you and not us..

Must be something with setting it up AFTER taking the update to 4.4 Kit Kat. Wonder if @totempole tried setting thiers up after going back to 4.2 and before taking the upgrade for the root process with SlapMyMoto?

could be completely device specific too. if your vehicle is BT v2.x or whatever. my tunelink specifically has problems with data/audio stream with the X that my X doesn't have problems with on other devices. could be software/hardware incompatibility issues.
FWIW, my vtech BT phone @ home would NEVER pair with other devices. i would always have to manually pair.
I just emailed Moto about this, because I'm having bugs too. I think that you're on to something, 640k. My Pioneer headunit (FH-P800BT) has BT 2.0, and while HSP connects fine, A2DP only works on the first pair, and after disconnecting once and reconnecting, it won't ever connect A2DP. I have to completely unpair the phone and re-pair it to get both A2DP and HSP working. My phone also gets stuck on "Connecting..." under BT whenever it's having issues connecting with A2DP. Here's the email I sent off to Moto"
I've noticed an issue with my new Moto X that I never had with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The phone itself performs way better than my older phone, but I've had a specific bluetooth problem. I have a Pioneer headunit that supports A2DP as well as HSP (music playback and headset functionality) and with my Galaxy Nexus, it worked great, I paired my phone up with the headunit, and both A2DP and HSP would pair at the same time, and work perfectly. With my Moto X, when I first pair the phone to the headunit, it pairs both profiles, but after I've disconnected (turned car off or turned bluetooth off) and come back, it only pairs HSP, and when I try to pair A2DP, my phone gets stuck on "Connecting..." under bluetooth to the headunit, and never will connect to A2DP unless I unpair and re-pair the entire phone. I've tried resetting my headunit and phone and still the same problem exists. Looks like other people are having issues with bluetooth too, as per this article on a popular Android forum > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2562186 < I'd like you all to check this out. Seems it's just on 4.4, and wasn't present on 4.2.2 (I never checked myself on 4.2.2, as I immediately upgraded to 4.4 when I got my phone. This doesn't seem to be a hardware problem, but more of a software problem. Please check into this, and don't just read this and act like it's only a problem a handful of people are having. I'd like to have this fixed, and while it's not a deal-breaker for me to use the phone, it does make me a bit frustrated. Thanks in advance!

Nokia 7 plus (ver. 9.0) bluetooth problem

Is there any fix to the Bluetooth not working issue for Nokia 7 plus running Android 9.0 ?
I've tried
wiping Bluetooth cache
Selecting don't optimize in Bluetooth settings
Installing Bluetooth scan apps
Nothing works
Phone was great when running ver 8.0 - now cannot connect at all to my Bluetooth speakers...
Can't rollback either as device is locked (datestamp incorrect) .
Thanks
Steevo
I have emailed Nokia and got a reply on the WiFi and Bluetooth issues. They replied with the following
In the meantime, we can suggest you a workaround in order to sort it out:
1.
- Please go to settings > network and internet > 3 dots on the top > reset network preferences. Keep in mind that this will erase all the Wi Fi passwords.
- After that, please do a Soft reset: Press the Power button and Volume UP button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds, release them when you feel the phone vibrate and you see "Powered by Android" on the screen.
2. Check in safe mode:
- Press and hold the Power button.
- In the window that will appear on the screen, select and hold the "Power off" option.
- It will appear a new window called "Safe Mode". Then, press OK.
The device will restart in safe mode. An inscription about this will appear at the bottom left of the screen. After going into safe mode, use the device as usual. Check if the problem has disappeared. Remember that only preinstalled applications are available to you. If you want to go back to the normal mode, you just need to restart the device.
I haven't tried it as of yet, need time to do it.
The issues I have is sometimes going from home to work and visa versa the WiFi or BT will not automatically connect all the time.
Google destroyed Bluetooth on Android 9. I personally had no voice call functionality in my car as soon as my 6.1 plus updated to Pie. I've since returned it and am now rocking a 5yo LG stuck on Marshmallow... but BT calls work in the car.
Nothing you try to do will fix your problem until the issues are sorted in the core OS. Google need to pull their head out of their arse and get it sorted so manufacturers can push OTA. Nokia have lost me as a customer.
I am running pie with march update and bluetooth works fine in my car. Video calling, music plays without any issue.

This is the exact issue. It's been known by Google/OEMs for a while. It affects dual-SIM in most cases.

Bluetooth issue on my Nokia 7 plus fixed
I had an issue with Bluetooth after Android 9 upgrade.
I could connect to previously connected devices but my handset would not detect any Bluetooth devices. So, i was unable to connect.
Based on some of the comments here, i reset network, wifi, Bluetooth. Still didn't work. Then i reset app preferences and notifications. This worked like a charm. Now i don't have the problem anymore.

Going back to oct 2019 update.
via fastboot, fastboot getvar current-slot, this will determine the active slot if its a do this command
fastboot --set-active=b and if b fastboot --set-active=a
This may wipe your data you may backup
I am so glad I got rid of this smartphone from Nokia , which has some defective hardware and software.
The freeze was a never ending issue.
