Hello colleagues, I have a mi9 for months and since I installed TWRP with Magisk it is impossible for me to update ...
Neither by OTA nor by recovery or in any way ...
With TWRP I download the OTA, ask for a restart and skip recovery but nothing is installed.
I download the OTA again and go to downloaded_rom I move it to the root of the memory, I start it in TWRP I install it as zip and it only starts me in recovery ...
I tried to remove TWRP and install the recovery stock, I download the OTA it asks me to restart to install, it starts and starts the bar with% of the installation, before 10% it restarts and returns to the system and gives me an error that does not has been able to install the rom, download it again and install ... a thousand times I have done it and the same.
I have tried to remove magisk and the same, I have formatted everything and the same, I have installed the rom by fastboot and more of the same ...
I don't even know what to do ...
What am I doing wrong ??? out there I read and I have not seen anything like it, at most when updating they lose root and recovery and already ...
Can somebody help me??

All,
After I rooted my HTC One Dev Edition, installed TWRP, I have a couple of issues:
1) I tried to update the Superuser binaries, and it ask if I want to update to normal or recovery. I chose in recovery, it rebooted into recovery and rebooted again back to normal without me touching. How do I know if the binaries have been updated. Can I try to manually update the binaries?
2) After every reboot from recovery, I get an exclamation mark saying an error during reboot, send to HTC? Is this normal?
Thanks for any help!
1) Flash the zip from recovery manually
2) No...
Hi all,
I'm trying to install Cyanogenmod following techbeasts.com tutorial but I'm stuck at the first step : installingTWRP (or CWM).
I followed precisely all the instructions (I allow debugging mode, I installed samsung drivers, I start the phone in download mode, I connect it with OEM cable, I start Odin, it sees the phone, I select the tar.md5 file.), Odin confirms it went well (green box writing "PASS"), but when I try to boot the recovery mode by holding Volume up + Home + Power it seems to boot another recovery software that doesn't offer a backup or a flashing options: "Android system recovery <3e>"
Can't get it to run TWRP or CWM... Can't install the supersu package.
What I'm I doing wrong? Can someone help?
Try to untick Auto Reboot option from odin. I had similiar issues and reason was if you have updated your phone with OTA-updates then it installs some kind of backup script. When your phone boots again after you had installed twrp it installs stock recovery during boot. So untick autoreboot, flash twrp and force boot straight to recovery without letting phone boot to OS. You can also try to pull battery out, put it back and then boot into recovery mode.
Sorry my english and try to understand.

Great it worked, thanks a lot !
But now I'm stuck on the next step : flashing CM11
I rooted my phone, booted TWRP, chose "install>cm11" (the zip downloaded from nova fusion) but it says "failed" after a few sec...
I would post my TWRP log but the forum prevents me doing so...
Well I get few things that you could check first.
1. Do factory reset for example from twrp. Factory reset is needed/recommended before installing custom rom from offical OS.
2. Sometimes just installing fails almost immediately if you have ticked check zip signature.
After you have installed new rom clear cache and davilk cache just in case. I'll do that every time if I install or update custom roms. Also don't forget to install right gapps package after you have installed rom.
Sorry my english and try to understand.
ok just realized i downloaded the wrong cm image (the odin one, not the recovery)
everything running smooth now
Okay happy to hear that everything is fine now. Happy playing with custom roms
I can't use my internal storage!! Cant copy anything into it!! It does show that thier is internal storage shows that its free but cant copy anything into it??? I have twrp in my phone but after a factory reset in vanished!! I rooted my phone installed than uninstalled it!!! Any help?
Next time, root and install TWRP again!
Why the hell do you need to ****ed up your phone guys? Is the stock firmware not enough for you?
I'm not sure whether he wants to copy stuff into internal storage via TWRP recovery or while the phone is booted up.
Mounting issue usually means you tried to factory reset via TWRP when it probably should of been done via unlock bootloader method.
I don't think I ever did factory reset via TWRP when upgrading from Marshmallow to Nougat + Debranding + Root.
If u are using the old (wrong) twrp recovery you are not able to use your internalstorage while booted into recovery, but it should be accesable if u boot into android.
Since there is only systemless root for our device your system partition dont get touched while rooting, but if u flash SuperSu.zip which is not specially for EMUI5 (there is a special one), you maybe tried the wrong SuperSu.zip file and you "****ed" up your SystemPartition - you need to flash the right system.img now - just use official firmware and start rooting from scratch.
What you do now?

Flash the rollback package.
Install desired firmware.
Unlock Bootloader
Flash TWRP
Flash SuperSu.zip for EMUI5 in TWRP.
Thanks for all of you guys!!! I have just got out of this ****!!!
The problem was i was not able to copy anything into my internal storage no even install apps from play store!!! !!! But it is resolved!!! Thanks for you reply guys
Hello Friends!
I have a P9 Eva from NZ, the Build numbner reports as NRD90M- test keys, I had to extract the system image from a recovery update.app so that's why that's weird.
Now I'm trying to install the data to go with this update, but I want to install the APK files myself, however I can't get into options to allow installation from unknown sources how can I do this without it crashing orhow do I install the data package another way?
Edit: Phone now appears to be soft bricked.
Ok so some update, after trying to flash the zip in twrp it seems to have veggied the phone and manually adb flashing the system, recovery, recovery2 and boot it seems to have broken it further now...

Tried that tells me software install failed.
Now I'm always gettting stuck on your device will boot now and then it hard reboots back into the recvoery screen, I swear I had the right stuff for my phone, what can I do now?
I tried to update my phone but unfortunately during the installation the one with Red magic logo saying
"Dont operate in system update" it stops at 25%.
Formerly my phone has root access to I reflashed almost all the necessary files such as recovery, boot and system and locked my bootloader again but still the update install fails
Any tips to successfully install updates?

You have to uninstall magisk using TWRP recovery
There is magisk_uninstall.zip you have to download from the official magisk site
Download and flash it using TWRP recovery
And then you can easily update

I already did that. Some users say that the update fails for them too. I guess the OTA update from Nubia is a bad copy.
We'll wait for Nubia to upload the version 2.31 update on their site.
