Hi guys. I have a question.
I updated my Mi9T to miui 12 and now I want to grant root again. I did the same things that I've done with miui 11:
Downloaded the rom
Extract the boot.img
Let magisk patch the boot
flash the patched boot with fastboot
The problem is that I got a WiFi issue: I can't turn it on. I back my boot.img to default e now it work but without root. Any ideas?

Maybe you have ACC installed - uninstall and try without ACC (people did report similar errors for AAC, not dure was it fixed later in the module)

Sorry, I don't know what is aac. I searched it but I don't understand what I need to uninstall. I deactivated all magisk module but there is still the issue.

Hello
I unlocked may max 2 today and flashed twrp. To boot a Stock Dev. or Stable ROM is only possible when SuperSU or Magisk is installed - or I stuck at the bootlogo.
BUT with both solution I'm not able to pass the SafetyNet test And this makes the Max 2 to a useless stone for me....
Has anyone passed the SafetyNet test with a unlocked phone?

First i tried it with SuperSu and failed.. and the 2nd, 3th, 4th and 5th attempt failed with only Magisk
usnf module? What is this and where can I find it?

If u had flashed SuperSU then
1. u have to remove all traces of SuperSU search for unsu.zip by osm0sis
2. Then flash stock boot.img coz it's patched by SuperSU
3. Finally flash magisk and usnf module

Extract boot.img from ur current rom.zip
Flash boot.img via recovery
Flash magisk v14 u r good to go
Let me know if u have any issues
anyway to bypass safetynet on lineage.. using the usnf module result in a bootloop..

No clue regarding the said app, check your notification if you happen to made some adjustment or if your using apps like greenify or brevent try to make an excemption to your messaging app Cheers.

i see, what i mean is, you just have to check your settings if you have configured your notification to make the whatsapp unable to give notification. if you happen to use greenify or brevent make sure it is not in the list of being hibernated or being killed in the background process of your mobile phone.
Hi. The fight with SafetyNet is not worth of time. You can hide root but you will not be able to hide xposed. Xposed + XPrivalyLua is much more valuable.

error 1 ( i googled all the work arounds, even flashed my boot.img )

never mind, i managed to fully pass safetynet on Magisk V16 w/o unfs to global stable rom 9.5.4.0
Requirements:
- ROOTED DEVICE
- Install any root file manager with text editor (I used ES File Explorer Pro)
- Install any system app disabler (I used Disable Application [ROOT])
Steps:
1. Open app Disable Application [ROOT] and disable the app Athena
(this will prevent your apps from force stopping when you clear them from the recent apps. *clear all button won't work, close apps by swiping)
2. Open ES File Explorer, give root permission and open /data/oppo/coloros/startup/bootwhitelist.txt with the text editor
3. Find the package names of the apps you want to run in background and add them at the bottom line of the list
(package names of apps can be easily found in the Disable Application [ROOT] app)
4. Then enter the Phone Manager app > Privacy Permissions > Startup Manager. You will see that the apps which you put on that list will appear as recommended to turn on.
5. Now you just enable those
That is all you have to do. Reboot if you want to, but it is not necessary.

I have already flashed TWRP too, but still not rooted.
After I flash magisk, my device cant boot and got error message "boot device destroyed or contact customer service" and I flash supersu then nothing happen.

First flash your stock boot.img and reboot to twrp. Then flash Magisk 19.4 beta version. Magisk 19.3 stable doesn't work on Realme X.

tried it in realme 5 pro and it worked, thanks so much.
Does it work in Realme 3 as well? Also, is it safe to try this out? Just wondering coz I just bought my phone a few months ago.

The easiest was to remove the background Apps Killing is by removing com.coloros.athena
You can remove it through ADB as well.

Then the problem is the modules you installed, not "latest Magisk update" like you stated.
Not all modules work for all devices, each device reacts to modules very differently, so boot loop caused by modules should not be mistaken for the whole Magisk.
We can root in an easy way without unlocking the bootloader
I think this method works with all versions realme
Don't forget to activate OEM unlocking From Developer options

Successfully rooted the phone. Not updating to Magisk v25.2.
This is my second time flashing since I went into a bootloop.
The first flash, I installed Audio Compatibility Patch Magisk Module, rebooted, speakers were now always on mono, installed Audio Mod Library module, still the same. Tried uninstalling ACP by going through the install prompts when flashing and updated Magisk to v25.2 at the same time. Once I rebooted, it went to bootloop.
Flashed the whole thing again, back with root again. I'll be installing stuff one by one so I can know the cause.
Too bad there's no custom recovery. TWRP or OFRP would be nice.
We can flash recovery using Flashify right? So why hasn't anyone build a custom recovery port yet?

removes the black bar on the notch/punchhole side that you see on some apps and games when the phone is in landscape. I'll root my phone if this works.
On DP1 magisk was installed alright. When i updated to DP2 by removing -w flag from flash-all.bat. I can't get magisk to work by patching boot img via magisk and flashing it. Somehow volte/5g magisk module is working :O Is anyone having same promlem or know how to fix this?

Nope, I had the same result with the 14 Developer Preview.
We probably have to wait for a Magisk update.

Didn't work for me
Edit. Magisk manager says not installed but phone is rooted
Well... Swift backup app doesn't have root access
At least I can use banking apps now
