News from kernel support (5.9) ? - Nexus 7 General

Hi everyone,
I have been missing a lot, I am not a programmer and I don't understand android that well, but today I stumbled on this news:
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Linux-5.9-ARM-Keem-Bay-More
It states that ASUS Nexus 7 is now working with mainline kernel. This might not be relevant, but I wanted to share this news with you.
Cheers,

Hi, let me introduce myself.

Hi,
I registered myself yesterday, but i didn't have time to introduce myself yet.
So now i'll introduce myself, better late then never so to speak.
I'm Arjan Kuiper, 28 years old.
Currently living in Oude Pekela (The Netherlands).
I'm the proud owner of the OMNIA II (GT-i8000), and since 2 weeks the Galaxy S (GT-i9000).
The GT-i9000 is currently running Adroid 2.2 aka Froyo, it's also rooted with the SuperOneClick method.
Oh yeah....the carrier is T-Mobile.
Basically i'm just a newby what the Adroid O/S concerns, but hopefully that'll change soon enough.
I'm already checking some mods during this humble little introduction.
Best regards, Arjan.
PS. My English is a bit rusty, so my apologies.
Welcome to the Forum Hope you enjoy your stay here
Welcome, sir. The galaxy is a very sweet device. I've been enjoying vzw us variant for a month now. Have fun reading and reading some more. And then coming to off topic to ban someone and then back to reading.
good day.
Your english is more than proper! Welcome!

Hi, everybody!

Hi everybody,
My main reason to join is to see if I can install Android 11 on an old Samsung J5. Years ago I installed Cyanogenmod on a Samsung S1 and I was already impressed by the great work you guys were doing here! I am very curious to find out what is possible nowadays. Maybe even see if I can help out and see some more of the programming part one day.
Cheers!

Hello and welcome to XDA!

Hello everyone

I've been working in IT for over 20 years now. Was an early Linux user. I've started installing Custom ROMs on Android phone recently. Based on my searches this appears to be a great place to discuss Android as well as other technologies. Looking forward to finding out all that XDA does.
Welcome aboard mate! This is a great home for IT professionals!

Greetings from Italy

Hello guys,
I'm Anthony and I'm writing from Italy.
I've just resumed my 2011 Asus eee pad transformer Tf101. It works pretty well but, you know, there are maybe 3 or 4 apps still usable on Android 4.0 xD
So I'm here to try to get the best with a new rom, maybe the devuan chimera.
I don't really know where to start but I've already read something interesting on the forum.
So hope for the best, and, again, my best greetings to you all
Hello @anthonypc !

Hello from a beginner

RomFlashingCarlos here.
I flashed my first CM ROM almost 5 years ago in attempt to revive hardware from 2012 that was abandoned by Samsung.
Now I'm back with the same hardware, but with the latest OS running on it.
I am ever thankful for the dev here that made that possible. Looking at you @html6405
I look forward to being here, maybe I could learn a thing or to about being an android dev.
Welcome to XDA and enjoy the forums vast amounts of information!
Cheers
