After so long, the wait is over! Here is the first beta build of MIUI 8 Global for our Moto G Turbo

Yes, but if installed MIUI Theme engine doesn't work. See instructions on end of the post
What works?
All the basic functions (Wifi, RIL, data connection, Bluetooth, camera, Flashlight, sound, and more)
What does not work properly?
-Mobile network signal doesn't displays correctly sometimes (displaying as No SIM card), but still working anyway for calls, text and mobile data. FIX: Reboot device and press power button twice.
-Navbar does not hide
-External sdcard write/acess issue on some devices - FIX: Go to settings > installed apps > enabled documents app or watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrWoICi-6wI
-Documents app needs to be enabled again after a reboot - FIX: Turn Off MIUI Optimization in Developers Options
-Custom APNS created by user doesn't saves
-Maybe MIUIAccount app force close with creating accounts, create your account in this website: https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/register
-Secured WiFi hotspots doesn't work on some devices.. FIX: Install FoxFI app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.foxfi

Surprise, surprise ! Got 5+ Hrs SOT with 20% battery still left.
All I remember doing is, turning "Developer Options" -> "MIUI optimizations" to OFF, reboot mobile, then turning optimizations ON again followed by reboot. Not sure if this helped, but that's the only thing I remember. Will try to repeat those figures again.

To me no FCs or any issues after using ROM for more than 3 weeks. What stability issues you are referring to? And @abhijeetc9762, I do not see any copy paste issues with chrome browser. Icing on cake is, battery consumption. I always get 4-5 hours SOT. Pretty happy with ROM.

Yeah, it's a good ROM but there is FC sometimes when I copy and paste, there is not app mail , the lastest osprey build its compiled with uberc and supports VoLTE ,it's a little more stable , fixes the nav bar bug and some more little things that can be good add for our device build

1)Gapps included included gapps have no specific type like open gapps but you can assume it as stock as aosp apps are replaced by google apps but still no other bloatware comes (like chrome drive and other google apps)
2)firmware is latest so yea 10.0.7 k

Descendant it's running flawlessly and encryption doesn't depend on the ROM itself, but on the device status (since that's the first flash).
If you can't comply with simple formatting data instructions that's none of my business.

There is a bug I tried many times. Try to format system, data as well internal storage but bug is still there. Ruined my phone now unable to boot and storage is formatted. All the backups are formatted and phone is stuck there.Kindly check it again

@Dil3mm4 Plz give a proper guide to flash and remove encryption in order to boot the ROM .

My take on this rom.
Install rom (advance wipe) reboot, all ok.
1. File manager crash in setting " show internal storage "
2. Incoming call no call screen, blank ! Only ringing tone.
Reboot, same error. Revert back to crDroid.
Sorry, i think you must do more before releasing a status "stable" rom.

I can confirm the first thing.
But the 2nd one have an easy fix
I think that's the most disappointing thing for u to revert back to crdroid
The calls not showing is because
Phone app is not selected as default app in app settings
I just fixed it by doing it
I know it's an error
But don actually blame without knowing enough
Developer was working hard to create this ROM
And I can see good results here.
It's different from other roms.and it's really nice
Do appreciate good things also
And if we except file manager bug
This is an wonderful stable ROM

Hi people.
This is again just a flashable zip of stock 9.0 ROM (firmware released today for J530F).
A lot of thanks to @ananjaser1211 for all help and his kernel, without him ROMs on J530 (on exynos7870) wouldn't be posible, so run to his threads and hit thanks (or better donate)
ROM is tested on J530F and J530G, I don't know does it work on other models (it should), test and tell.
Supoorts J730 too, but I didn't test it so if someone can, please do.
Modifications from stock fw are:
- Latest August 2019 security patch
- Based on latest J530F firmware (J530FXXU5CSH7-XEO)
- HeliosPro 3.1 kernel that support OC and tons of other features
- Extremly debloated (this is bolded because I really deleted a lot of apps exmpl. GameTools and all Microsoft and Google apps)
- Little animation when phone is locked and charging (seems like AOD but it is just a overlay thing)
- Sound mod (very loud, but still safe)
- Dolby Atmos for headphones and speaker (just for estetics)
- Network traffic monitor for statusbar
- Native call recording
- Native screen recorder
- Bixby Routines
- No sound when making screenshot
- An option to disable camera shutter sound
- A lot camera features, like scene optimising etc. (most of them don't work, they are there just for estetics)
- Joy Pixels emojis
- Samsung One font all over system
I recommend to flash Oreo BL and CP, and latest TWRP first than ROM, and thoose you can find in this Telegram Channel --- https://t.me/J2017Oreo
So for using this ROM you need latest TWRP!

Recommendations:
- It is highly recommended to use Magisk for rooting. You can use latest magisk zip from here. Just flash it with TWRP, reboot, voila.
- My personal recommendation is to use FDE.AI magisk module too, it makes things run very fast, and smoother. You can find it in magisk downloads, or here.
- Another nice thing I use for modding OneUI is Complete OneUI substratum theme. It has really nice overlays for fixing things samsung forgot to fix (dark theme in a lot places, systemUI headers, OneUI launcher fixes). It is paid app on Play Store, but it is worth it. Link is here.
- Another recommended thing is to use KRAKEN kernel for 32bit ROMS. I personally don't use it, but a lot of people say it is very fast, and has more features than HeliosPro. It doesn't have XDA thread but you can find download link here. Curently latest version is I, but if you are flashing, make sure to flash latest one.

Actually I did just week ago, you just don't know how to use it.

And without root ? Rooting to my phone and other app crashing (opera mini, html viewer and not working from banking app).

Flashed ROM along with Flame Gapps (formerly Exlite Gapps) and magisk 20.1. All running really well, very smooth and great as a daily driver for me. SELinux permissive is no issue for me at the moment as I don't run any banking or similar type apps that may look for the status of SELinux.

Possibly found one small bug with the notification light, it only blinks once when an initial message (SMS) comes in and then does not continue to blink when the screen goes back to sleep, I've played around with the settings in both the messaging app and in the CR Droid settings notifications section, but still only blinks once for incoming SMS. There is no issue with calendar notifications, the light blinks as it should and continues to blink when the screen is asleep.
Still a great ROM though. keep up the good work
Edit - @adi153, my apologies, nothing to do with a ROM issue, the problem is with the app itself (Google messages), it was installed as a system app as part of Flame Gapps full package, so I tested by doing a clean install of crdroid, this time with open gapps then installing Google messages as a normal user APK and still the same notification light issue. I then reverted back to the android pre installed messages app and the notification light works as it should. Thanks again for the great ROM

BTW I can't setup Android Auto. I can't pass this step event with the option enabled.

Your welcome bruh...by the way still you can use banking apps with the help of magisk hide.

After install ROM, GAPPS & MAGISK, and reboot, some lovely crdroid animations then black screen and it asks me to enter a password to launch android ?? What password ? Have i done something wrong ?

You need to format data (not just wipe).

Encryption with this release
Hello everybody,
anyone tried to encrypt the phone after installing the latest release? I did not have any luck so far, got either a short Android screen with a reset into the system or a stuck black screen after reboot. Is this a known issue? Had similar issues with the 5.8 release, but eventually it worked.

What are the changes in 6.1 because I don't notice much?

SF-ROM is a Debloated Stock ROM with Stock Kernel, and Contains Disable-dm-verity and Disable-forced-encryption,
so your device cant be bricked and smooth because debloated,
in newer versions ill try to debloat and optimize more. this is my first rom here.
Why Android 9?
Because light and soft unlike A10 or A11 android 8 and 9 gold for our 7870 devices to gave max performance, ram usage, cpu usage things.

Flash instructions
only flashable on orange fox 11.0 (not 11.1 or 11.0_1)
You need to have /vendor partition!
Wipe dalvik, cache, data, system, data, vendor
Format daha and reboot recovery (not need but more safe)
Flash SF-ROM-v2.0.zip
Reboot system.
(rom contains root, dont delete magisk or disable encrypt file in zip file or else your phone get soft-bricked)
just do the instruction, that way 100% safe
AND NEVER WIPE CACHE!

Im reworking on j5 rom no download link until finished

Hi. I got J530F/DS (dual sim) with PPR1.180610.011J530FXXS9CUE5 .I'm stuck on "You need to have /vendor partition!" . Looking at the OrangeFox interface i can say that , verndor partition is there but it's not mounted and can't be couse every time i touch "vendor" there is no"mark" lefted . I can mount some of others partition, but not all. I'm assuming that i "i don't have this partition" .So, what should i do next to be able to flash your ROM ?

the GPS does not work
the Clock on the LockScreen does not appear

GPS is working you need to wait seconds for turn it on
2nd one is basically feature, i overdebloated it too much

strange, i think i waited 10 min, and it doesn't catch any satellite
about the clock can you tell me what package i need to include ?
i found "ClockPackage" and i put it on system/app but doesn't work

Hey. This ROM has some bugs:
-Some apps are lagging ( for example: Reddit, Youtube and sometimes Facebook but I rarely use that)
-HereItIs does not recognize my location even it does find me.
-The clock from lock screen is gone
-After setting up with AFwall, AdAway and Magisk, the phone "can't" use Wi-Fi(but instead use celular data) because it thinks this WiFi "Internet not available" even we have internet.( if you need proof, message me in private), to "fix" that I needed to reboot the phone to recognise the WiFi properly,or deactivate the celular data without reboot. Even after reboot has this problem!!!!
-Android Beam is gone!!!!!(VERY IMPORTANT)
-VoLTE does not work despite its a samsung original ROM customised.
What I did to install this ROM is:
-I flashed the TWRP Recovery in AP slot in ODIN
-I repaired the Data partition in Recovery.
-I formated Data,Cache.
-Installed this ROM
-Root it with Magisk.
but can you put the first initial relase to test it?
I have a Samsung J5 2017 SM-J530F/DS blue model with latest update (oh god why I did update it in past? (((( )
