Hello Community!
To use Google camera with HDR+ support for Lenovo P1, You can achieve it in two methods:
1) Build.prop method:
Go to build.prop and add the following line "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1".
OR
2) Magisk module :
Either flash through twrp or add through magisk manager. File is in Attachments.
Then install google camera app. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962021903579488245
Not working .. the apps is not work and gives (camera keeps stopping )
Not working here don't know how u got it working
Does not work
I have tried all ways but it gives camera stopped working.
So i've seen a lot of viper/viper4arise ( + Dolby + etc ) on many threads...
with maybe way too many versions..
On 7.1.1 default OOS 4, I have mine worked just fine with the one coming from magisk repo.
I've tried the one from Magisk 14.5, processing says Abnormal..
and i can hear crackle sounds in the background when playing music.
Decided not to clutter my magisk modules with install/reinstall, i immediately restore from nandroid backup with clean magisk
( plus one google camera patch module only. )
So have anyone got anything worked on our new OOS 5.0 ?
preferably with Dolby atmos working ? i've never tasted this one on my 1+ device ever...
I also couln't get V4A to work with Magisk so I tried the one that I also have used in 7.1.1 and it seems to be working without any issues for now.

Just flash it and you're good to go

If you're talking about the repo on the Magisk Manager, those V4A versions are horribly outdated.
Try the modules by ahrion, downloaded from the thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-viper4android-fx-2-5-0-5-t3577058
I personally have v2.0 working perfectly with Magisk 14.3. But also needed SELinux permissive module to process properly. Yeah, I know, a of folks are not going to want to set SELinux to permissive. But I'm just sharing what worked for me.
v2.3 wouldn't work properly for me. But one of the devs told me that I should delete all V4A and AML (Audio Mod Libs) and try to install through TWRP. Haven't had a chance to retry it doing all that. If you still have troubles, you can post the TWRP recovery log on the above thread, and they will try to help you out.
Dolby Atmos does not work on Oreo. Do NOT flash, bootloop is a possiblity.
This is how I got V4A working with OOS oreo. I had to set SELinux to permissive.
1. Use Magisk v14.5
2. Install 'Magisk SELinux Permissive Script' module by jman420 from within magisk manager (Modules -> + button -> select file)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magisk-selinux-permissive-script-t3577549
3. Reboot. Optional - Install 'Display SELinux status' module in magisk
4. Install 'Viper4Android FX for Magisk v14+' v4.0 by ShadySquirrel in magisk manager. You can get it from Magisk repo. (Other V4A modules might work too.)
5. Reboot and voila!
Okay... so far there are 3 alternatives to get this audio mod in Oreo
I will try them and test...
Let's say, this is my attempt to keep track of how to install in oreo..
Thank you guys for all the suggestions ( and warning ! )

did this version require any SELinux permissive trickery?
Brian
Yes it does but you don't have to install separate apps or magisk modules to archive that. After you flashed the whole thing, open Viper - Settings - Turn on developer mode and disable SELinux. That's it.

On my attempt with your method, It installs just fine with TWRP, but fail on running.
- Installed just fine with TWRP, no errors. (*)
- Reboot, but i can not find the V4A apps in drawer...
- So i opened up the zip file, extract the APK from v4afx-v2.3.zip/system/app/ViPER4AdnroidFX.apk.
- Install it manually, then it shows up in drawer.
- Everytime i try to run it.. it keeps asking to install drivers. I assume because it wasn't install in /system
( confirm install, reboot, then it asks to install again when i open it ).
So i decide your method does not works well on my device... or i may have missed something in the steps.

Your method works OK on my device :good:
so we are only limited to v4A ? no Arise, or Dolby atmos ?
i see some OP3T users saying they got it working on their device with Oreo ..

It said aroma, i'm on stock ROM.. is it safe ?
I will take nandroid backup and try it...
EDIT:
My mistake for not understanding aroma installer.
Tried your method, only install v4a 2.5, and DD Plus..
No errors, when playing music, V4A says abnormal. Second tries, i can not even get the Driver Status to popup.
Dolby Digital seems to work, but it quit everytime i changed the mode, but sound does noticably change.

You tried ahrion's module, v2.0 like I said (you listed all other version number details but that one)? Newer ones don't work for me; I tried 2.3 and 2.4, and same error you have - no V4A app in app tray.
Also, I'm on Magisk 14.3 (as mentioned) so another variable there.

my bad for not paying attention
but i'm a bit reluctant to downgrade my magisk
i've managed to get mine working as per Post #5,
i saw there's a new version just came out from ahrion ( v4afx-v2.4.zip , 11/30/2017 ).
I might gonna give it a try also with magisk 14.5...
I'm running LineageOS for microG, and I already know Digital Wellbeing works with it; I can sideload the apk, then systemize the app, and voila. The app itself works 100%, except the Play Store refuses to update it, and Focus Mode is missing.
I'm aware of the already existing module by suwakowww that ports DW into AOSP-like ROMs, but it checks for GApps and won't install without it--even microG doesn't cut it.
My hypothesis is if that module, minus the check for GApps, were installed, Play Store updates and Focus Mode would work. So, can I ask someone to whip up a module according to these specs?

microG works great until a paid app tries to verify the license or when it comes to in app purchases. Using existing tools like NanoDroid and microG Installer Revived has disadvantages (see Readme below). That's why I created a Magisk module that replaces FakeStore with a patched version of the PlayStore. After installing the module, licenses can be verified and even in-app-purchases are possible with microG.
Visit on Github or download v0.1 directly.
Readme:
FakeStore 2 PlayStoreThis is a Magisk module that replaces FakeStore with the patched Play Store by Nanolx and is mainly intended to be used with LineageOS for microG, which already ships with microG and FakeStore. I only tested it on LineageOS 18.1 for microG. Use at your own risk, if you are on a different ROM.
The module uses fixed permissions settings from nift4's microG Installer Revived. Additionally it adds the Nanolx's NanoDroid companion F-Droid repository to F-Droid for automatic updates of the patched Play Store.
Why you want to use itYou want to have License Verification and In-App-Purchases with microG and already have a system with microG + FakeStore (like LineageOS for microG)
Installation
Install LineageOS for microG
Install Magisk
Install the module through the Magisk Manager App
Important: Do NOT flash in TWRP, you need to use the Magisk app and have an active internet connection for downloading the patched PlayStore.
NanoDroid or microG Installer Revived already do the job, don't they?Yes and no. After several tries with combinations of LineageOS 18.1, Lineage OS 18.1 for microG, NanoDroid and microG Installer Revived, I always ended up with either an unbootable system or with configurations that don't survive OTA upates or that would render microG upgrades useless or install too much.
NanoDroid's patcher (currently?) isn't able to successfully patch signature spoofing into LOS 18.1 and I didn't want to fiddle around with deodexing. My intention was to have a ready-to-use solution for LineageOS that survives OTAs. So I had to use LOS for microG, which already has the signature spoofing patch. However installing the patched PlayStore in LOS 18.1 for microG using NanoDroid always resulted in an unbootable system - even when disabling every other feature in .nanodroid-setup and hiding FakeStore with .nanodroid-overlay.
Though microG Installer Revived does a better job (the system was bootable after installing the patched PlayStore , it isn't able to hide FakeStore on it's own. So I had to still hide FakeStore somehow. Additionally microG Installer Revived installs DroidGuard as a system app, which is not what I wanted. Furthermore, it overwrites GmsCore with it's own version and therefor any OTA updates by LineageOS for microG would've been overwritten by the Installer's version.
That said, it's possible to use NanoDroid's .nanodroid-overlay feature to hide FakeStore in combination with microG Installer Revived to install the patched PlayStore and live with the DroidGuard and OTA issues. But I decided to make a Magisk module that does no more than replacing FakeStore with a patched version of PlayStore. Here it is.
BuildLinux, BSD, macOS, AndroidRequires wget.
wget -O META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary https://raw.githubusercontent.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/master/scripts/module_installer.sh && zip fakestore2playstore.zip -9r *
OtherDownload this and put it into META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary. And ZIP it.

wait does this still use the google play in-app purchase dialogue or are in-app purchases just free now?

Negative, nothing is for free! Otherwise it'd be considered warez! This means, this modificated Google Play Store allows you to make the same purchases like the "normal" play store despite the lack of Google Play Services and the use of µG.

cool. works great. vouch
now this is helpful - thank you for releasing this!
for me only worked the one to download directly (1.0). generating or updating the zip like described led to "unzipping failed" message in magisk. i don't know, where the pitfall could be, just mentioning this here.

Thanks for reporting. However, I double checked the build steps and ended up with the same file as the released one. I guess it doesn't have to do anything with fakestore2playstore, but may be due to your "zip" executable. In fact, Magisk also complains about the unzipping progress itself. Anyway, I'm happy you find this module helpful!
You should check out https://github.com/FriendlyNeighborhoodShane/MinMicroG_releases they already include the same PatchedPhonesky along with a minimal microG setup similar to the revived version from the Magisk repo, all in one package.
As for signature spoofing and all that if your ROM doesn't support it the easiest way is to use f0mey's Smali Patcher:
[MODULE] Smali Patcher 7.4
Smali Patcher WHAT THE HELL IS THIS THING? :: To sum things up this is an application I developed that pulls the android framework from your device, applies what I (or other users) consider useful patches to the sourced files and then...

Thank you a big bunch. Very easy to install, and works pretty good. Some paid apps can't be installed for some reaaon, but you can install them with means, and the licence verification later works! Which is the main point.
I've been using this on 3 phones running gappless + microG. All with different custom ROMs and it appears to work wonderfully for license verification on the few apps I have paid for - except one (titanium backup). FWIW 2 are running A10 and one A11.
Thank's to the developer for this useful app!
It used to work for me, but after I reset my phone a few days ago and tried to install the module again I get error message "download failed and installation failed". I use /e/os (a fork of Lineage OS 18.1) on a Galaxy S10+ and Magisk 24.3. Any ideas?

Fixed in fakestore2playstore-0.2.zip
The wget version that ships with the busybox provided by Magisk 24 somehow can't download the patched playstore from Nanolx's repository. The server closes the connection because of a tls error. Now the patched playstore is included in this module and a download isn't required any more.
By the way: I'm on Android 12 now, but the Playstore doesn't work properly. Seems like some permissions/settings are missing. Unfortunately I'm quite busy currently and can't look into this deeper right now. Hope to find some sparetime soon.

Hello, your module is running perfetcly on my device. Thanks!
But I'm still have some questions. Is it possible to install the Original PlayStore with microG installed?
I might have the exact case described here (LOS 18.1 for MicroG), but this does work perfectly. Thanks a lot
Well, doesn't work on Android 12+... Any chance for an update ? This was really a neat module :/

Hi guys,
new here and went through quite a few threads on Magisk before posting.
Situation is as follows:
- got my Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra from Aliexpress a few days ago.
- the seller unlocked the bootloader and instealled global ROM instead of the original Chineese ROM.
- the phone works fine, but Google Wallet would not allow me to add any of my credit/debit cards for contactless payments showing the usual "Your phone doesn't meet security requirements"
- NETFLIX wouldn't work.
- Quite a few of my banking apps work fine, including HSBC bank, Paypal, Revolut, IG Index and some others as well.
The obvious solution is to go ahead with Magisk Hide (or what's currently available instead as Hide module is phased out as far as I understand).
Now, I'm really new to all this (have rooted a couple of phones/tablets a few years back) and have a few questions:
1. I was going through the process of installing Magisk on my phone, folloing the instructions here: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-magisk/?newsletter_popup=1
So according to this, I'm supposed to find a boot.img file in the ROM archive as far as I understand, but my issue is that I don't have the installed ROM details or data as it wasn't me who installed the ROM in the first place.
Is there any way to find out what ROM is installed and perhaps I could download the package and get the boot.img file from there? (ramdisk parameter show YES)
2. I will be installing ADB on my computer to be able to install Magisk as per the following instructions: https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/
is there anything else I'd need?
3. Lastly, there is a bunch of good tutorials on your tube on how to use the latest Magysk + shamiko module etc. If someone knows a really good one, I would appreicate if you could post it
Would really appreciate any other feedback etc for a person who is completely new to this
Thank you very much!
I'm not sure how to completely proceed as I am totally unfamiliar with Xiaomi, but I had a couple of ideas...

I imagine you can find exactly what ROM you are using in the Settings -> "About Phone" or something similar; Probably under something like "Android version" or "Build number". You can google search (most likely by build number or something similar) and find the Factory image needed to flash/install the ROM. Once you download that specific ROM installation file (most likely a .zip file), you should be able to extract it (or go inside the zipped file and extract the specific boot.img file) to be able to patch it in Magisk.

Best place to get the adb (and you'll also need fastboot.exe so you'll also get it from) is from the Platform Tools from Google's developer's site here: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
I'm unsure (but I doubt) if Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has 2 slots (A and B), but if it does, don't download the latest version of platform tools but version r33.0.3 because any version r34.0.0 and above has a known bug that will wreck devices with 2 slots (namely Google Pixels).
Anything else you'd need is to be sure to have USB debugging enabled and the proper Google USB drivers installed on your computer (there are Windows, Mac, and Linux drivers that can be installed).

There are a number of root hide methods that hide root from Netflix and Google Wallet. One usually starts with using Magisk and Zygisk Denylist and making sure that Wallet, Netflix, Google Play Services, Google Play Store, Google Play Protect, and Google Service Framework are all "ticked" with all their sub-selections ticked as well. Also, be aware that after implementing any/all of these, usually clearing all these Google services data and cache is required & a reboot of the device is a must, but re-entering your cards will also be required as well; as well as signing back into some Google services. Then, if all that doesn't work, there's Universal SafetyNet Fix -- or even Displax's Mod branch if the official USNF isn't enough. Then also any of the further root hiding methods; Shamiko, Magisk Delta, HideMyApp, etc..

Again, I'm coming only from Pixels and have absolutely no experience with Xiaomi and I can't be sure any of these will apply since you have a "custom" ROM (sort of) so things might not be as usual. These are just general dealings with Magisk and Android OS as I know them... But you state that you are "completely new to this", so I'm just trying to cover all the bases as much as I can, even if you would be already knowledgeable of them. If anything, these can be taken as just ideas and/or pointing to a direction that might work...

Thank you very much for taking time and going through all my queries, really appreicate it!
I started losing hope really as looked through a number of vide tutorials involving installing magisk via custom recovery, which would mean I needed to install a custom recovery first... so this was becoming a bit of a Russian Doll thing and a never ending quest.
Looked at "Detailed info and specs" on my phone and I have:
Baseband version
Kernel Version
I presume I can search by Kernel Version to find the ROM - will try that.
If I can't find the ROM, than the only way is to try and install custom recovery, download Magisk apk, rename it into zip, get into custom recovery mode and try to flash the zip file. Saw a few tutorials on youtube like that and it looked fairly straightforward, however not sure how easy or difficult it would be to install a custom recovery like TWRP on this phone.
I also looked through a tutorial of using Magisk with Zygisk and Denylist and again, looked pretty straightforward, but Magisk needs to be properly installed of course.
Yes, thank you - I understand that you need to clear cash and re-enter the cards once again, that would have been the least of my troubles.
Will try to search that kernel number on google once I have a moment and see if I get any luck.
Will also reasearch on how to install TWRP. If that's easier than I may go with that option instead of extracting and patching the boot.img

Looked at "Detailed info and specs" on my phone and I have:
Baseband version
Kernel Version
I presume I can search by Kernel Version to find the ROM - will try that.

You can't find what MIUI version you have? That's all you basically need...
From a small bit of research, you state you are on a "global ROM" of a Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, which should just be a "global" version of the MIUI. You just need to find the MIUI global version and extract it (boot.ini) from the firmware update file. Once you find the version, you could search and find the firmware update file in places like here: https://xiaomirom.com/en/rom/mi-11-pro-ultra-11-ultra-star-global-fastboot-recovery-rom/ or other sites I imagine.
It's just important that you get the exact right version of the MIUI Global ROM you are currently running as patching and flashing a boot.ini of a different version could soft-brick/bootloop your device....
