Hi Everyone
Can anyone provide me custom preset for the DIRAC (audio controller). The pre-loaded presets are a bit off for me. Looking for some custom preset that can deliver punchy bass without distortion in audio quality.
Thank you.

Hello guys, from your experience, what would be the best audio enchancment software that can take control over apps like soundcloud and regular music players?
Im realy looking towards high quality sound, some basic EQ would be great too, but its realy more about the sound quality.
Cheers!

Without a doubt, viper4andriod. Once you hear the difference, you will never go back.

I have a bit of an odd situation with my Honor 4x...
When i play audio using any kind of music/audio playback software (spotify, google music, chrome in-browser playback, etc) the audio quality feels very watered down. Specifically, there is a significant reduction in audio volume (like an EQ or some kind of high-cut filter) around 4kHz and above.
However, when I minimize my audio app while playing music then open Google Driving (or google maps then set a destination) the audio quality dramatically increases! if i stop navigation it becomes pathetic again.
I have tried tinkering with the (very limited) audio settings of my phone with no change.
I have tried rooting the phone and installing an after market audio driver (Viper4audio) with no change.
Can anyone help?
Huawei Honor 4x
Build: Che2-L12C636B320
Android 5.1.1
EMUI 3.1
An image reflecting the content difference of the audio signals with and without google Driving overriding the quality control is available upon request (cant post external links due to being a new member)
or by going to imgur and putting extension /xoegk1C at the end of the URL
I've been trying to improve this issue for years. I came to the conclusion that what happens actually is that the phone has a terrible audio quality that gets improved by the google equalization improvement effect.
Try some equaliser apps, poweramp music player does the job
stand alone music players with built in EQ won't achieve what i am trying to here, as they only apply their EQ to the music being played through their app. If i want to stream music through spotify it will not reach 3rd party software EQ.
I have tried the built-in EQ for spotify, but it only has preset and none of them counteract the EQ curve being applied by the phone
Additionally, this is for the purpose of improving sound quality. If the phone is applying subtractive EQ at one stage of virtual signal flow, then having additive EQ applied at another stage it will not achieve the same outcome as no EQ being applied at all, or sound even worse.

Yo. I'm not gonna beat around the bush. Here's a sound mod I created when I was bored. It's based off a project I stopped long ago. Just give it a hear. Thanks.
Features:
DTS
Note 7 SoundAlive libraries
Google Pixel XL effects
HTC 10 effects
Huawei dynamic bass boost
Experimental Jack Professional Audio drivers
*Does not conflict with SoundAlive.*
Thanks to my friends @ ARISE
Anyways I wasted enough time, here's the download.

I may or may not even ever update this. Enjoy.
It can be controlled with an app? I mean.. is there something to adjust options?

Nope. Just flash. To confirm installation check /system/ or look into build.prop. Anyways, it's last day of school tomorrow, so goodnight.
@JarellLama and if i only want the note 7 soundalive libraries?
Sorry but the sound is terrible compared to what you can configure with viper/dolby audio and some other audio drivers... this would be a lot better if there was a way to tweak it somehow, sorry didn't mean to disrespect

I made this so it could work directly with Samsung's SoundAlive. With Dolby or V4A SoundAlive gets overwritten.
BTW feel free to flash V4A or/and Dolby over. I recommend the LeEco LeMax 2 Atmos from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342

If you are looking for just Note 7 SoundAlive, I recommend you get a whole Note 7 port with the framework for Note 7's SoundAlive so you can use the latest SoundAlive app. I recommend Noble Rom.

Hi,
I've downloaded some official Dolby Atmos trailers from the Dolby site. I used quality headphones to listen to it on my P20, with Dolby Atmos turned on. It didn't sound surroundy at all. How do you get Dolby Atmos content to actually play like it should? Or is that impossible on a phone and is that Dolby Atmos label on a phone more of a "there's been some tweaking with the sound but it's definitely not real Dolby Atmos"?
Thanks!
Did you you use dolby atmos headphones??

Tried that didn't change a thing, except that the sound sounded a teensy bit different. Have you tried Dolby Atmos? Do you get actual surround sound?

I used this YouTube video to test
toggle on and off Atmos and I get proper surround. I use the stock headphones. The sound isn't great in my opinion.
Cheers
Edit: this is one of my favs
See that's impossible because Youtube only carries 2 channels. Dolby Atmos needs extra files for it to know what to do with the sound, that's impossible on Youtube. You need Dolby Atmos encoded files, like the trailers on the Dolby site. I don't hear a difference at all.

You are totally right about the YouTube and getting the actual video download from Dolby I found the audio was definitely better with Dolby enabled. However I agree with you that it isn't all that much better than an good eq setting could do.
Thanks for this I want to find out more. Please let me know if you find any info on this!
Cheers!

Dolby is an inferior music encoding algorithm.
Ok for movies and games, most times.
I use Poweramp and wav/HDCD files.
Poweramp has one of the best or best graphic equalizer for Android.
When listening to music Dolby is always kept disabled... feel the wuv.
On a high end system I use it only for Dolby encoded movies.

Yeah, i thought it will be better because of Harman Kardon. I was using Iphone 12 before this device and must say that Iphone is on another level in terms of sound.
