Problems with installing on a samsung S7 (930f) - Magisk

Hey - so far I've used odin to add twrp, and I've gotten to installing the zip - when i try install it, it works through the list, unmounts partitions, then says 'Done'. After that it says 'Updating partition details...' before failing with the message 'Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument'. I've tried wiping the cache/dalvik, but that still does the same thing. any fixes/things I should try? Any help would be appreciated as when i reboot, my phone now says - Verification Failed, and the reset option just takes me to twrp recovery and does nothing

[I9000] CM7.1RC update failed -> back to XXJPK failed - help!

I've been on CM7.1RC for a while, recently apps kept crashing for no reason. I have a lot of apps tried disabling some things with autostarts but there were too many apps and too many triggers and all to hard.
So tried wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache, phone took a long time to reboot, was OK for a while but then same thing reoccurred.
So I decided to reinstall CM to the latest daily following wiki instructions, but I did something in the wrong order and got stuck in a bootloop before I had put the zips on the internal SDCard.
So I though, I'll go back to XXJPK using ODIN and restart from there. Again, bootloop. I have download mode and recovery 3e working, recovery 3e brings up error message:
update media please wait
E: can't mount /dev/block/stl10
(Invalid argument)
E: copy_dbdata_media: can't mount DBDATA:
your storage not prepared yet.
pease use UI menu for format and reboot actions.
copy default media content failed
I tried to reformat the internal SDCARD using the recovery 3e options and re-ODIN XXJPK but no joy.
Suggestions?
I am getting the same bootloop described in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466838
but flashing with the stock XXJPK I originally used did not get it out of the bootloop. Any other pointers?

Stuck on boot

Hi,
I'm running Cyanogenmod Nightlies on my rooted I9305, but for some reason the device is stuck at boot (Since I woke up, only booting until the samsung logo).
I wasn't flashing a rom, so I don't think Cyanogenmod has anything to do with this.
However, I did install "Hide My Root" not that long ago (I was trying to bypass the rooted-protection from my ISP to watch television; it did not work though).
I was able to boot in recovery (ClockWorkMod v6.0.4.5) and performed a wipe data and wipe cache, but problem remains.
I wanted to do a restore, but found out there wasn't a backup on my external SD card (sdcard1).
Installing a new nightly ends up with this error: set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed. E: Error in /storage/sdcard1/cm-11-20140122-NIGHTLY-i9305.zip (Status 7) Installation aborted.
I did install ODIN, so maybe this could be a way to solve this.
I wanted to check if there was a backup on my internal memory (sdcard), but then I saw I was getting all kind of errors:
When starting Recovery:
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
When trying to restore from internal memory (sdcard):
E: Can't mount /sdcard
What can I do to fix this problem, considering I'm not sure I still have a backup (I know, rookie mistake!)?
No one knows what to do?
I will wait 24h

Rules we have to wait twenty four hours before replying to you .
So... anyone who knows how to fix this, or who can point me in the right direction? :fingers-crossed:
Possibly wiping cache in recovery will remove those errors shown in recovery but that will not resolve the bootloop. Have you tried a full wipe as there may be something corrupt in the data partition causing the bootloop
I see I forgot to mention it, but I already tried that (cache, dalvik and data). But to no avail.
When I tried to wipe dalvik cache, not much happened.
When wiping cache partition, I'm getting this error: Fomatting /cache | E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p12 | Cache wipe completed.
I also found the PIT file, and downloaded the stock ROM from Sammobile, but running ODIN failed.
Okay, seems like nobody knows the answer... guess I'll have to ship it to Samsung for repair.
Does anyone know a way to remove the "times I flashed a ROM"?
Triangle Away won't work, since I'm not able to boot properly...

Put in download mode then flash a stock rom over it...
@Raistlin1158: In the meantime I already tried to do that, but flashing (anything) with ODIN end up with a "FAIL".
Any clue what might be the problem?
Update your Odin, Also can you do a factory reset ?
@Raistlin1158: I've tried ODIN 3.07 and 3.09, both fail.
I am able to boot in recovery, and I performed a factory reset, but it didn't change anything.
Can you help? Please

Nice necrobump.
You haven't even told anyone what you need help with nor what your situation is.

[Q] I9000B OS doesn't load/ "Failed to mount /data" / Almost bricked

I got a long story here. First i got this Galaxy S TV (GT-I9000B) from a friend who broke it's Android and I thought i could fix it. I could restore from a brick status to a clockwork mod which failed because that CWM was made for I9000 and not mine which is I9000B. Then, I went to sammobile, downloaded everything to factory reset this phone using Odin. It worked, but when i tried to boot, this thing appears:
-- Copying media files...
Successfully copied media files.
-- Deleting files...
E: failed to mount /data (File exists)
E: delete_data_files:Can't mount /data
your storae not prepared yet. please use UI
menu for format and reboot actions.
-- Updating filesystem...
verifying the filesystem. please wait.
already updated filesystem. finished
successfully update filesystem.
-- Wiping cache...
Formatting /cache...
Cache wipe failed.
-- Appling Multi-CSC...
Installing Multi-CSC
Can't access to '/system/csc/ZT0/system/'.
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
And beside this, the boot is stucked. It can't load anything. I tried using Heimdall to fix but some error (ERROR: Failed to access device. libusb error: -12) shows up, ADB can't access the phone. I also tried learn how to format the internal SD, go through every single error and fix each one but i got lost again and now i don't know what can i do.

Yeah, that is the one that i did. And the results were the ones that i told.
I mean. This one fixed but was incompatible. Somehow this I9000 and I9000B differences affect everything.

twrp cannot access/read data partition because it's encrypted. while in TWRP, you have to format the data partition to remove encryption and then you be able to access data. be sure to backup your data/internal storage before formatting, otherwise you'll lose what's stored there it's mentioned in most (if not all) TWRP threads related to Samsung devices.
thanks for the info I actually googled and found the answer however ,I do have another question the no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip is just for whatever rom you have installed to remove the encryption ?In otherwords if i just want to do a clean install from TWRP and install a custom rom I dont need no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip ?

Unable to mount storage... Please HELP

hello i need help solving this issue as soon as possible.
i have downloaded and tried to flash theOne3TOS.v5.0-5.0.6.Aroma but didnt work
my 3T is rooted and unlocked. recovery is Red Wolf version 3.2.1
as instructed in installation guide provided for ROM i wiped Dalvik, Cache, System, and Data and gotten that "Unable to mount storage"
after that i copied the ROM to phone memory,PC see it normally
and went through the installation in Aroma installer but also "Unable to mount storage"
i tried that supposedly solution by formatting and changing partition but didnt work for me
i tried with Cache,Data and System but all the same "Unable to mount storage"
Change FS did work and went from ext4 to exfat and then back to ext4 but it didnt fix anything
and im still getting that "Unable to mount storage" no matter what i try.
