Is anyone able to stream in HD on amazon prime video?
I have an unlocked and rooted mi 9t pro global (widevine L1, miui 12) and I'm not able to.
I can stream netflix in HD tho.

Thank you. It worked.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-change-device-model-extra-step-t3559040 I was following this guide, but it seems to not apply entirely to android pie. There's no "ro.product.model", you have to add it yourself at the bottom of build.prop. It wasn't necessary to clear Prime Video data, and it wasn't necessary to do the adb shell steps.
So, just add "ro.product.model=Redmi K20 Pro" at the bottom of build.prop, restart your phone and you'll have prime video in HD.
btw, i also edited "ro.product.system.model=Redmi K20 Pro". I don't know if it's necessary.

Hey, I just can't make it work. With that guide I can't change the name of the device, but I added that line into build.prop and in settings I moddified the name to Redmi K20 Pro. In ADB with the command
HTML:
adb shell settings get global device_name
I can see that now the name is Redmi K20 Pro instead Mi 9T Pro, but in Prime Video, even clearing Prime Video data, it stills doesn't work in HD. Do you know why?

First things first: what's your widevine? Download drm info and see it. Here's mine. You must be L1.
Then, I downloaded BuildProp Editor. I changed this. Then I added this at the bottom.
Restarted the phone.
To see if it really worked, go to Settings> About phone> All specs. "Device model" should be now "Redmi K20 Pro". Good luck, that's all I did. (I'm on miui 12)

Well, I did all that steps, but in Settings I still read Mi 9T Pro and Prime Video in the stream quality, the best is for 0,46GB/s, saddly. Later I'll try again the guide to change the name with ADB, but it gives me an error with the command to change the name

I'm in Havoc 3.7 and yes, I'm rooted whit Magisk.
I've seen that in settings I can edit the name of the device manually, and in the first screenshot you can see it says Redmi K20 Pro (if I change that, in ADB will show the other name y chose), but then in Model & Hardware it stills appear as Mi 9T ProView attachment 5082747View attachment 5082749

But does this make any sense? Because the method indicated isn't for Xiaomi or MIUI devices, it should work on any device. I'm not changing the OS only for Prime Video, but I would like watching full quality content if I want (on a device that should be certificated by Amazon and with Widevine L1)

Still no way to transform it to MI A2 with ARB 4?
The question "Freedom" in android does not apply to xiaomi. Hehe .. it's no accident that miui is almost a clone of ios.

I bought a stock China Mi 6X (Wayne). It can't seem to install Samsung Gear app. Can someone please guide me on how to convert it to Mi A2? I love vanilla Android.

Hi everyone, my little doubt is this in heading above. So can i flash Indian K20 pro rom on my Mi 9T pro using Mi flash tool?, if yes, will the ABOUT PHONE read K20 Pro or Mi 9T Pro?

Yes you can flash the Indian ROM, just make sure you change the flash option to 'clean all' in the Mi Flash Tool. If you forget to do this you will brick the phone.
I believe that your phone will show K20 Pro in the About Phone section, after flashing.

Thanks, only CLEAN ALL and i should make sure the LOCK isn't ticked if my bootloader is unlocked right?

Why would you want to do that?
You gain nothing that I am aware of and lose NFC.

You gain MIUI dialer app which has call recording. Plus POCO launcher as standard, with its app drawer.
So if you never need NFC there's reasons for choosing the Indian ROM, if you want to stay on official MIUI.

Fair call. I forgot the global rom doesn't have the miui dialer. It is the reason why I am still on my original china rom and have not flashed the global one yet.
Hi guys,
I'm a Mi 9T Pro user and want to get rid of google dialer & messages too. I am about to unlock my phone and flash the Indian ROM.
I wonder what is the lastest build of Indian ROM and where I can get it safely?
Hello,
I have a Mi 9t Pro 8gb/256 global and it has been unlocked.
I have tried 2 different rom (LineageOS 17.1 and Evolution X 4.0) and both don't have the FOD option.
Any way to get that option restored?
Thank you in advance!
Are you sure it is Mi 9t pro, not K20 pro? Where did you get that Mi 9t pro?
I got it from eGlobal Central. Seems to be a Mi 9t pro. I verified it on the website.
Sent from my Moto Z Play using XDA Labs
Also that meant to say FOD not POD...
Sent from my Moto Z Play using XDA Labs
So the issue is fixed.
I flashed stock and then it apperared.
Then flashed EvoX again and it's all good!
As known mi 9t pro comes with google dialer which has no call recording option.
My question is:
can its owner install xiaomi dialer & contacts apk from apkmirror from below link instead of googles' and will call recording option work then?
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/xiaom...cts-and-dialer-12-1-5-3-android-apk-download/
