What are the currently working mock/fake GPS location modules for xposed?
Advanced Virtual Location used to work flawlessly under Oreo, it is broken now under Pie and later. (If someone has it working in 9.0, let me know how).
What are the other GPS spoofing modules that are currently working for 9.0 and above?

For me non of the gps spoofing modules worked. My real location was always revealed but I found a better way.
I use this old module (surprisingly it's the only one that still works on Android 10) to hide mock locations from apps that don't work when location spoofing is enabled.

And run this app to fake my location. No rubber banding, location stays pinpointed.

I've long been using this one that I'm quite happy with: https://repo.xposed.info/module/com.vivek.xposedpokemon
Both fake GPS and compass work fine.
It's got ads though.
I've been using the Smali patcher method to spoof PokemonGO. Works perfectly , no Xposed needed, just makes a Magisk module that tricks your phone into thinking that your mock location is your actual location.
One question, I use a delivery app that now asks you to locate yourself at different points to be able to activate, which Aceves is complicated. There is a method to simulate the location but without the

I have it working using the Magisk Mock Location module on a unlocked bootloader/rooted Samsung S5 running CrDroid/Android 10.
That module enables mock location without apps being able to detect it's enabled and some of the apps I use are pretty hardcore about detecting GPS tampering.
Then I use Fake GPS Location – GPS JoyStick app to set location or route.
Here is the full guide I used: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-fake-location-android-gps-spoofing/
It's working but A-GPS data is not carried through fully.. yet to find an app that really cares about that. It will cause some apps to complain that your GPS Location is not accurate enough, but that's because of the missing A-GPS data.
Still playing with it and looking for a fix for the A-GPS data but it does work at least.
I'll post more if I find a fix for the A-GPS

I've been trying all day to fake my location, my device is rooted and on fire nexus rom. for some reason it just won't allow me to mock my location, even when I try and enable it in developer options(in which case it just turns mock locations off right away).
anyone have any luck on this? maybe I have to go back to stock firmware?
thanks in advance

Mock location stays enabled on CM 12.1 but is largely ineffective as the device lacks a physical GPS chip which causes most apps to cough up a fir ball. I do have an external (OTG/USB) receiver; with that attached Mock locations works fine.
I don't have a device with Fire Nexus installed as present so can not confirm if the above findings are applicable with that rom. Suspect it will work fine with an external receiver.

Ive been playing with this using stock OS 5.1.3 with the Google Play apps added. Ive found some puzzling things. I know the tablet does not have a GPS chip, despite this I used the app 'Fake GPS' to set a fake position. If I use the browser and browse to google maps page, I can see it does indeed pick up the fake location. The app Google Maps also shows the fake position but only if Google Play services is frozen with titanium backup. If Play services is running, Google Maps does not pick up the fake location. Here is my theory: The tablet is designed to work without Google Play services and has its own Wifi based location technique for some reason it can be fooled by adding a GPS signal (possibly because it has the capability of using this interface in the tablets with GPS and LTE).. Google Play services works standalone, possibly because it detects that there is no GPS chip. If you want to spoof Google Play services I guess you must generate a fake WiFi signal, not a fake GPS signal. I don't know whether there are Apps capable of doing this. Otherwise you have to get into the internals of Google Play services which does not sound easy. As you can see its all speculative. If anyone know of a way to spoof Google play services with a Wifi type technique I would love to know. There must be a way to do this for testing.

FireOS and Google Play Services both provide location based services via proprietary methods. They are not complementary. You'd be better off with a custom rom that eliminates the ambiguities. Most (if not all) Android location spoofers assume something close to AOSP which is definitely not FireOS.

I could try to replicate what the OP found with the Fire Nexus ROM but i want to be sure that I can get back to Fire OS 5.1.3. When I used an alternate ROM on my Fire HDX the Amazon Prime Video app no longer worked correctly, in that the video thumbnails disappeared so it was not the ideal solution to escaping from away Fire OS. Can I be sure that I can roll back to 5.1.3 if I try an alternate ROM.

Guess I never fully appreciated the importance of video thumbnails. There is a path back as 5th gen devices support FireOS reload via stock recovery menu (HDX lacks this essential capability).

Fly GPS needs android 6.+ to work with Pokemon Go properly I think. But I am also stoped now. I am not sure if I want to allow GPS app the system access. Is it necessery to make app work? Or is there other app working on 5.1.1 android and less without Xposed or Suhide?

Fly GPS allow any android 6, non root, to work with Pokemon. It doesn't work with 5.1.1 and it's the best, free, as long as you don't need root,no need to unlock boot loader, no custom kernel.
Fly GPS no longer available in playstore. Google it to download the Korean apk. It works with stock rom and guarantee to play whichever version of pg going to introduce. Since it's within Google android 6 to have this in the developer option, nothing niantic can do to stop.
I hlave a problem. The app is working few mintes, then pokemons stops to appear and pokestops always say Try again later. And when I restart pokemon go, only map shows up nothing else. Is it some kind of soft ban? Or the app is not working properly? I have mock locations turned off.

Dude im not sure how accurate you are on this. Without xposed hiding the mock this is only you can use default in API23 ( FusedLocationProviderApi.KEY_MOCK_LOCATION) that will recieve an object that is being mocked. Besides flygps gives you a flat altitude no matter which location you go. Better to used app that can modified the altitude. better be safe than sorry in the future. they may develop a query database on this. your account will be over.

I have the same issue. First I thought it was thanks the 1GB ram that my phone has, but no, is an apk problem. If the apk would have worked fine I would have bought it.
Not recommended at all just crap.
For me it's working good ! But I switched gps device only.
It lags a little bit but is definatly playable. Other than that I have had no issues with it once it is set up properly. you can set altitude, walk speed. It could use some more features but not bad for just starting out. Can't complain for $1.

If your phone is rooted, is unrooted, or has Magisk, systemless xposed, and/or suhide, you cannot play Pokemon GO because the safetynet got updated yesterday. All cheat methods using root or suhide do not work anymore. The only cheat that works right now is FlyGPS on a stock rom/firmware without any root. You can still play the game if you flash TWRP as your recovery if you want to make backup roms. Do not teleport to another country because FlyGPS is not 100% working. It sometimes loses GPS connection and warps me back and forth then I get a softban

For warping you need to disable fused location service and all the location services, this worked untill the new update. Now everythings banned.
This forum is meant for people who are getting locked out of their accounts due to "3rd Party Plugins or Applications"
We need to stop this from happening so share your experiences and thoughts on the matter.
I have 2 devices: a Nexus 6P running Pie (Pixel Experience) and a Pixel 3XL on the stock Pie rom. Both are rooted with Magisk Canary builds and both have Magisk Hide turned on. Snapchat never detects root on the Nexus but ALWAYS detects it on the Pixel. I've even repackaged Magisk on the Pixel but that doesn't help. I've read that it's easier for apps to detect root on A/B partition devices so maybe the newer, updated Snapchat apps have code to detect it. When I have time, I'll try an old version and see if it works...
Note that I don't believe Snapchat bans just by detecting root. It is detecting certain apps that are somehow triggering it. If you check the list of apps that you have given permission for superuser, it would be one of those. The app that I had that was triggering Snapchat was an app named app ops. I had downloaded it and just giving it permissions alone was getting me banned on Snapchat. I think this problem only affects users running Oreo or higher for whatever reason. I myself had an old phone running marshmallow with app ops and never experienced a ban. I don't think that any of the people reporting the problem had anything lower than Oreo. If you have somehow discovered the app causing your problems, uninstalling it may not fix your problem. I had to wipe my phone in order to fix it because I was still receiving bans despite uninstalling the app that was causing my problems
I've never installed app ops so that's not my problem.
As for A/B partitioning, I'm on a Samsung galaxy Note 8 and it didn't come out with this on my device so yeh ?
The main thing I found out that I had to do, was repackage the manager and I haven't been banned for the last 4 days
I am on the S8 plus and was locked out for 12 hours before. Snapchat continued to lock me out even when I fully uninstalled magisk. I decided to clean install a different Rom which seemed to do the trick. A month later I decided to go back to my original Rom and guess what? Can't even login coz of some mod I think.
So I would say it depends on what mods you have installed yourself or packaged with the custom ROM.
Snapchat ban
I have same problem. Yesterday they gave me ban but i was unbanned with their site. But today they give me one more ban but now is for 24h ... anyone know how to fix snap or maybe hide root? S7 9.0 blackdiamond v3
Downloaded an early January 2019 version of Snapchat and signed up for a new account on my Pixel 3XL. All was good at first then I closed the app. When I tried to sign back in, I got the "problem connecting to server" error which requires an update to the most current version. I updated and after just a few hours, I got the "12 hour account locked" message for "3rd party apps". I've had Magisk Manager repackaged but that obviously didn't help. BTW, I have not repackaged Magisk on my Nexus 6P and it's still works. I found a comment by a user of the Bitmoji app (which I use on my Pixel but not my Nexus) that reported his Snapchat was locked by this app so I uninstalled it. We'll see how it goes when my 12 hour ban is up...
Update: I uninstalled Bitmoji. I also added the systemless host module in Magisk and enabled systemless mode in Adaway. That is supposed to prevent Adaway from modifying the system partition but neither worked. I'm on a 24 lock now....

I don't know if this would affect you but an app that was causing the problems on my phone with Android 9.0 has no affect on an old phone running Android 6.0.1. I don't know why this happens but if you were running a new version of Android such as Android 9.0, an app that may not cause problems on your 6P may cause problems for you. And again, I have no idea why this happens but I can guarantee that was my problem and I haven't had a ban since

Both my Pixel 3XL and Nexus 6P are running Android 9 rooted with Magisk Canary (19005). Both have the same apps with superuser rights. All this to say that Snapchat was working fine on both for months and for about the last 6 weeks, my Pixel 3 XL's account gets locked and my Nexus 6P does not.
Thanks for trying to help and glad you figured your problem out.
I'm copying this from the SnapFreedom thread who's problems obviously mirror your own. I'll be editing parts out, but some of it should still apply if you guys are getting locked out.
XPrivacyLua
Install it from FDroid or Xposed Repo and check the boxes for "Determine activity" and "Get applications" in Snapchat's tab. You can also enable "Get location" to spoof your location and still use SnapMaps.
Magisk
A few points, these probably don't apply, but they're still worth doing.
Repackage it through Settings -> Hide Magisk
Make sure to block all components under "Google Play Services" and "Google Play Store". There's a few things that aren't blocked by default that might trigger SafetyNet.
Snapchat
Hoo boy...
Don't use anything higher than, and including, 10.41.6.0. It's pretty much a ban-fest. With SnapTools, we use 10.20.5.0 and 10.26.5.0. Those are probably your safest bets. Also, if you plan on downgrading, use any 10.39 app. Something in how logins work has changed in the later versions, so apps like Preferences Manager don't work.
Theming your app should be okay. I did it for months and never got a ban.
Only give it the bare minimum permissions. Storage, Camera, and Microphone. Location too, if you're into being tracked by your friends and Snapchat.
Do NOT use modified apps. At all. Ever. They're the easiest things to detect.
If you want to block ads reliably, you can use this Magisk Module. This WON'T stop bans.
Snapchat also logs your device ID. If you've received a temp-ban prior to this, make sure to change your Device ID. If you're on Oreo, you can use this app. If not, you can use Titanium Backup to change it. The latest version with this function is version 8.2.2. But honestly, the most reliable way is to reflash your ROM.

There are all the reasons why i purely stopping to use Snapchat, and also due to the fact that the application is so badly optimized for Android (even since the complete redesign of the application), in the end considering my use so irregular, I just uninstalled it, so no problem.
The time of Snapprefs and Snaptools was fun and funny, and especially less vicious as a concept than the basic one.

Update:
About 2 weeks ago, I flashed the May rom update for my Pixel 3 XL, installed Snapchat ver. 10.41.6.0, hid SC and all components of Google Play Services and Google Play Store in Magisk and I haven't been banned! I detach SC from the Play Store with TiBu but it somehow gets reattached. I just don't update it. Thanks @TevW !!!
I have got a problem, I have a Nokia 7 Plus, stock fw no changes at all!
And I keep getting banned... Support is a joke, I just get automatic replies...
The only reason i may have for getting bans is if snap scans the sd card, where I have magisk and roms files from other devices...
Any tips ???

About 2 weeks ago, I flashed the May rom update for my Pixel 3 XL, installed Snapchat ver. 10.41.6.0, hid SC and all components of Google Play Services and Google Play Store in Magisk and I haven't been banned! I detach SC from the Play Store with TiBu but it somehow gets reattached. I just don't update it. Thanks @TevW !!!

I tried to follow the instructions but snapchat keeps saying there was a connection problem with the server.

Does this mean that I can't use energized adblock magisk module? Do I have to use only the Snapchat adblock magisk module that you linked for any kind of adblocking on the device.
Thanks!
Hi all. I've been searching for days trying to find clues or answers as to why Waze isn't working properly on my phone. When I start Waze The screen is blank except for the blue circle meant to show your location, speed and report icons and the bottom search bar. "Searching Network..." is written in red at the top.
Initially I thought there was a problem with the GPS not responding but subsequent tests have proven that Waze is indeed receiving coordinates from the phone's GPS. So I think it's looking like a communication issue. The app is unable to load the maps or create a route. However I am able to search for destinations but only in the immediate area. When a destination is found and I click on it Waze goes to the screen where you would normally see the route and other information but then a popup says "destination not found. Review the location and try again". The same thing happens regardless of using data or WiFi.
I've opened up all of the permissions for Waze. All of the google related items in microG settings are disabled. Unfortunately I haven't been able to test whether Waze would work on Lineage 16 for microG would work on this phone but I had it working previously on a galaxy S5.
Any thoughts, similar experience and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like to get Waze working.
- Moto G7 Plus 1965-2 (lake)
- lineage-17.1-20200923-microG-lake
- Waze app release 4.67.0.4
- MicroG services core version: 0.2.12.203315
- NOT rooted. No TWRP or Magisk
This might be out of date already (21 days ago) but perhaps might help you:
Why doesn't the most recent version of Waze work on MicroG

Thanks a ton koimr that did the trick! I'm not sure if I'll bother updating from here but it's working like a charm.

Great!!! Glad to hear!
I am having trouble login into icici pockets app, it is detecting some kind of screen recording app which is not enable by me.
rom - Xiaomi EU 26.10.22
I have installed magisk and successfully hidden and rename it, have marked the icici pockets application in config deny list, but still the problem is same.
Modules - Shamiko , Universal Safety Net fix, Magiskhide prop config, Zygisk LSposed
I have tried serval HMA method but still the app says disable screen recording app and exit out.
anyone knows what's the error in the rom or in the settings to fix this issue?
i tried disabling all apps display over all permission, even tried uninstalling screen recording app and removing screen password etc but still the issue is same.
Same happens with some Turkish banking apps. Only workable solution right now is installing this emulator and importing your installed apps.

I think it's because of the rear screen.
Custom ROMs have the rear display disabled, so it might a solution.

I have tried turning off rear display and even tried by freezing rear display, but still the same
I've installed that app on my Mi 11 Ultra, got the same message, but tapped below that message and I've chosen, that I installed additional apps due to my work. Then I was able to normally open the app. Of course I didn't test, if I can login as I don't have an account.
The error continues. The same problem exists in Akbank, which is a Turkish bank.

I tried using Virtual Android as advised by you. How did you get past the error where it tells you remove the process restrictions from developer debugging permission? I tried everything and still wont work. Not sure if I am updating it correctly.
