Bought a used Mi A2, that runs on the updated android one version.
I have tried a bunch of unnoficial power adapters, and all of them give only slow charge.
The strange thing is i tried my friends original Xiaomi adapter and it didn't even connected.
Im thinking about making a downgrade to android 9 or 8, what do you think?

not reason for fast charge problem ..try to enable Dev settings by tapping on build number in settings/about ...
then toggle fast charge to on in dev settings
*also if official charger is not working it means the battery is screwed or someone put cheap after market parts like bad replacement charging dock or cheap replacement battery

Hey there guys
I am a audiophile who wanted to go for Lenovo P2 just for the sound quality it delivers through headphones. But due to my recent expenditure my budget has taken a hit and I don't think I will be able to afford it any more.
The other reason I wanted to go for it was because of it's fast charging capabilities. Redmi Note 4 runs the same Snapdragon 625, so I was wondering if I can use the Lenovo P2's original 12V charger to fast charge it. is it doable or will I be ruining the phone ?
Sometimes I still think I should still wait and just go for P2 its just that I just love my music ... But I love Xiaomi too, I have bought xiaomi phones for all my family members. I don't care about amoled display and stuff ... I just love quality music and good battery life and terrified of overcharging my phone through conventional slow chargers. (I never sleep with my phone on charge)
Sorry bro it won't work.....
The kernel of RN4 doesn't support fast charging(although the processor does)....
You will need to flash a custom kernel to enable fast charging just like radon kernel in case of RN3....

Did u buy lenovo p2 and does it have audio issues with headphones...
I am having sennheiser urbanite on ear with 18 ohm impedance.
it will not work and even if it is enabled it could damage the phone because the components of the phone were never specced/made to support quick charging.
This is the first time that I'm reading about "overcharging" your phone over night. I've been using smartphones for 7 years now and have charged them overnight about 90% of the time, save for those days with heavy usage when I ran out of juice in less than 12 hours. Care to explain what you're talking about?
OP, wait for 8.5 MIUI update. it is going to enable QC/fast charging mode.
625 supports fast charging but it was not enabled by MIUI. In latest update 8.5 it's going to work as per features mentioned. Check Mi 5 device. for reference.
But "Mi 5" is already quick charge 3.0 enabled at the beginning, comes with a fast charger plug out of the box.. Just look for the specs everywhere

But OP using Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon Mido version.
Also SD 625 supports quick charge but it's not enabled by Xiaomi in MIUI.

There was news earlier about MIUI 8.5 with fast charging support in MI forums. Also MIUI 9 coming in few weeks I don't know MIUI 9 will support fast charging or not.

You need to do some research regarding overcharging. Hopefully this article below will enlighten you.
https://www.google.com/amp/www.androidauthority.com/battery-myths-688089/amp/
Quickcharging isn't that good long term for your battery. While it's safe if it's supported officially for your phone, it really shortens the lifespan of your battery. The amount of cycles basically. It'll start to last less and less much faster than just charging it normally.
I know it's bad for Li-ion batteries, and I think it's even worse for li-polymers because they last even less cycles in the first place.
Hello,
Thinking about getting this phone (own Mate 8 which is fantastic but need a phone a bit smaller also my bank's app don't support Huawei phones)
- I live in Europe (UK, PL, Germany), which version should I get, anything I need to know before buying. Is A3010 what I need or A3003
- Is call recording working? this is a must for me.
- whats the difference between 64 and 128 apart from the storage?
- is dual sim active?
- is nougat available
- battery life - in Mate 8 it's just fantastic, I get easily 7h sot, is it similar here?
- can I use car charger I use for Mate 8?
- any extras I need to buy that are different to my previous phones? OTG cable, car charger etc?
- wld u recommend any shop in Europe?
Thank you guys!
A3003 is for Europe. Call recording does work. Only difference on 64 and 128 is just capacity ram is still 6gb on both same color for both as well. Dual sim works of course or they wouldn't put it in the phone (duh). Nougat is available on oos and custom ROMs I think oos is at 7.1.1 and most custom ROMs are at 7.1.2 now I prefer a custom ROM. Battery life is good especially with dash charge to top up again real quick. Can't use car charger for mate 8 unless you don't mind not having dash charge otherwise you need the official dash car charger from oneplus. Don't use otg so not sure about that but I'm pretty sure one end of otg plugs into the phones charging port so unless the mate 8 is USB type c then you still have to get one that is. And I suggest getting everything from oneplus website directly meaning phone and accessories. Wouldn't trust getting the phone from anywhere else at all.

both sims are active. although only 1 sim supports 4g at a time, the other reverts to 2g/3g.
I have been looking at many forums, websites and even contacted the party involved (Mi Spain) for a while and I am very surprised that it is impossible to buy a Xiaomi charger (fast or not) in an official store, whether physical or online. You are referred to pages such as Amazon, Aliexpress or Pccomponents (this in the case of Mi Spain) but after searching:
- Amazon has higher prices but even in the comments you can read that they are not original, I don't know if they have the 20-digit code or not.
- Aliexpress: out of every 3, 4 are false. It is where I have looked the most and not even those who come in supposedly official boxes (I no longer speak of those that come in plastic bags) have the code.
- Pc components: they do not have directly, so I do not understand that My Spain derives you to them.
On other websites (tuxiaomi, gearbest, etc.) more of the same. Or they don't have or are fake.
I open this thread in case someone is in the same situation as me. In my case I have a Poco F1 that comes with a fast charger but I wanted to buy a "slow" one because I prefer not to use the fast charge.
Thank you

I don't know why you face such difficulties while in my country (India), Xiaomi itself directly sells the chargers online and that too at a very reasonable price.

Yes. I don't know why in Spain this isn't possible. Besides, I can't buy in Indian website from Spain

I don't care about official store chargers. When I need slow charge, I just use regular charger that came with my old phone, Philips Xenium W732 in my case.

The original charger isn't special at all , any 5v-2A charger from a genuine brand would do exactly the same job. Just take any genuine charger from a reputable brand and you're good to go.
The original charger is not soo good, but maybe it was cheaper for them to ship like this.

I got same problem too, i think generic china brand quickcharge 3.0 charger will face this issue.
I have read several topics about this and still doesn't understand. I was one step from buying QC3.0 from KUULAA before had a bit of test.
Im running pixel extended rom, that can show on screen charge info. The stock charger is out of question. I also have chargers from mi 4 and samsung s5e. And both of them showing 10W charging - 2.4A and ~4.5V. Then i got for test 2 more adapters - one from Pixel 4 and Redmi note 9 pro. They suppose to be QC3+, allowing 18+W charge. Yet - both of them showed exactly the same numbers ( tested with 10% battery).
So the main my concern - im not even talking about qc4, i didn't even saw that qc3 charge that suppose to be 18W, not 10W.
Maybe there is not support from rom? or is this support should come from kernel? Since sd660 allowing QC3/4 but it's own specs
Hi guys, I have this annoying issue with the Mi 11 Pro: even if I use the original Xiaomi charger of 65 or 67 (I forgot the power) W, the phone only charges in 55 minutes, which makes me almost crash it with a hammer )). It is very annoying. It is on the second charge and does the same. Chinese version, used in Europe. Latest official ROM, no alterations. Any idea why? Thank you!
Maybe the cable, because you have buy this model in Shengen Trading ? When you plug your phone have you the notification "Mi TURBO CHARGE" ? (like the screenshot)
Yes yes, Mi Turbo Charge. ... In the meantime I realized smth: should it be the new 67W charger? Cause the one I have is the "old" 65W charger.
