Asus live demo - ASUS ROG Phone II Questions & Answers

Hi there, I hope someone can help me, I just bought a rog phone 2 from eBay, the phone is excellent but I have an issue with it, everything works fine , but I if turn the screen off with the power button it immediately turn the screen on again, I noticed an app running that says asus live demo, and there's no way to stop it, I looked forward for it an I found a code that's spouse to stop and uninstall the app, but it says invalid code, I also noticed that the app shows offline, so maybe that's why it doesn't accept the code.
If I root the phone, do you thing that using titanium back up I could freeze the app, can someone give some directions.
Thanks

Align screen by-pass

My phone does not suceed on aligning screen and therefore the set-up does not go through.
This happens with any rom I install. I assume is more a harwdware than a software problem, because I noticed some problems in the screen touch even before.
Is there a way to by-pass it and to force WinMo to complete the set-up process?
Thanks

What problem do you have? Is the aling screen proces start all over again after finishing all five steps? Sometimes I do the screen alingnment over four times. You should press right in the center of + with your stylus, and do not shake even a little bit because it will start again when you finish.
If this isn't the problem, hope someone else could help you, even that I don't believe it is possible.
Good Luck!
Cheers!

he din mention he did a hard rest. :S....sometimes it may ask for allignment all of a sudden....my x1 did once
but if he has already done a hard rest then he has to wait 10min....should work or he could use the app (whose name i 4got ) to go into reg and delete the reg that triggers customization
PS: ill give more details when i get home n check out the app n the reg
tried to delete as you instructed.
Unfortunately he tells that I "cannot delete file welcome: access is denied"

I had the same issue tried even deleting files via third party applications and skipping align screen but once u do it your screen doesn't react for any thing you do. you cannot configure neither ur buttons too sometimes doesnt work. the best way which I found that you try any of the original ROM version ..either UK or NAM which actually resets the radio and brings back in normal stage...hope it works for you.. then you may tryu doing hard SPL and install any of the cooked rom.
I have installed indeed the uK offical version...

[Q] How to restore back to stock 4.3?

Ok so back in October i used root de la vega to get root access. Everything is going well until i accepted the OTA update mid november, which broke my root access. Now that was an epic buzzkill for me! But now on bootup i still get the custom boot logo even though root is gone. Now my phone has glitches every now and then, such as the hardware buttons stop working until i do a hard reset, my lockscreen dissapears and takes me straight to the homepage, and the phone feels a bit slower ever since. Is there a possible way to re root or atleast get stock firmware back on my sm-900a? I was wondering what would happen if i redid the entire root de la vega process with odin and everything, would it put me back to root and delete the OTA update? Or should i put up with it until KitKat comes out? Thanks guys!
Not sure if this will help but while rooted i disable knox 100% and now when i go to my applications turned off list, i see all of knox's components but dont get an option to re-enable them. hope i can still revert back.

You could use "kingo" to root your firmware MJ5....I used it and on MJ5 I'm not having any issues at all..And just use "wanan" app to get rid of the padlock symbol for now...
Until we have an actual way to odin a MJ5 firmware I believe were kinda stuck at this point...But there is a "thread" that "evilpotatoman" made with some news about a restore of some kind...Im not familiar with it, or know if this helps but here's the link.

Good song from thier first album "Herzeleid" song called "Du riechst so gut"
Good Albums:
"Herzeleid"
"Sonne"
"Sehnsucht"
I have every album...Sometimes you have to just sit back and listen to the whole cd and listen to each song a couple times, I've found new favorite songs that way in the past when skipping over them. Lol

[Q] Phone not receiving/sending calls/sms

Hello,
I have an SIII Mini. Everything is stock, except for the fact that it is rooted.
At times, when somebody calls, the phone won't ring and the caller will immediately hear the answering service message (as though the phone was off). When this happens, there is no way to call anybody as well and the only way to fix it seems to be removing the battery and turning on again. Does anybody know how to fix this? Could flashing the stock ROM again do any good?
Also, the data network connection seems to be embarassingly slow. Does it have anything to do with this?

Do you get the same problem if you use a other sim card? Or try to remove sim and put it back. Maybe this solve your problem

I haven't tried other SIMs, but I tried mine on another phone and everything seemed to work. I forgot to mention that each time I remove the battery and put it back I do the same with the SIM, so I actually don't know which of the two is the actual cause - I'll check as soon as this happens again.
Check it and tell us what was doing the trick.. maybe you need a new battery , also check if the battery is a bit bigger in the middle than it was when you bought the phone

Hay guys, I know the thread is quite old now but i think my problem is just related to this and i don't want to create a new thread on the same topic, my AT&T Galaxy S6 64 GB Now running 6.0.1 (i sideloaded it) have a problem which you guys call it deep sleep ( I called it dead phone with no reason)
I bought a used AT&T GS 6 and it was running 5.1.1 then (probably BOJ7), and the second day i noticed it was dead, (i remember i was taking some selfies, pictures, i locked it and after more or less 15 or 20 minutes i wanted to take some more pics, i saw it was not waking up)
i pressed all the button many times but it didn't respond until, i pressed and kept holding recovery boot combination i.e. volume down + volume up + Power buttons and it booted.
Later on it was good, after two days, it did it again.
Now my concern was rising about Galaxy S6's sudden deaths, so, i thought lets find a way and upgrade it to MM. I searched the xda and found this
Updating to Android 6.0.1 G920AUCU3CPD6 Step by Step {http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/updating-to-android-6-0-1-g920aucu3cpd6-t3371884}
I upgraded my phone and thought it's fine now, but to my surprise, the phone went off while it was in my pocket with almost 70% battery charged. I was shocked, yet started it with the buttons combo, and yesterday when i left it charging while the battery was about 87% charged, I thought let it go to 100% but when i picked it up after 15 minutes and pushed the home button to see the status the phone was dead again with a RED LED light on while the screen was off, when i pressed the home OR power button the screen showed a big green battery with 100 % Charge (which was indicating as i powered it off and kept charging)
Now my question is that " What the hell is going on?"
If i was a rooting problem? I did an odin flash of BOJ7 with all four files AP, CP, CSC and his child. which should have removed the rooting, and i have checked the knox it is 00000
Please help me guys, this was my dream phone, i can't buy a new one with warranty, and i can't loose it or live it with this problem, my days suck.
please help me,

Kingroot Troubles w/ Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Hello this morning I tried to root my phone using the KingRoot app trough the purify app I downloaded yesterday. When my phone started to "root" it turned off. And when I try to turn it back on it doesn't power up. Instead I am met with a small red message at the top left of the screen that states "KERNAL IS NOT SEANDRIOD ENFORCING Custom binary blocked by FAP Lock" I went to a local phone repair shop and they tried to factory reset my phone and that didn't work. The employee stated that the root is already started and needs to be finished and referred me to this site to seek help. Please help I have no technological back round and just want my phone to work again.

There's no way to "finish an uncomplete rooting" lol. Flash stock rom again with Odin. It will boot.
And there's really no reason to double post (you have this sane issue in the "General" section).
So..… ..

… .why are you trying to root without any technological background? Or, at the very least, using Google for what it's there for? A search for "kingroot note 5“ brought me here, and also to numerous links that discuss this in great length. The first page of search results covers this. Sorry to come off as rude, but you need to do some research first, because to me, $700+ is a bit high for a rectangular paperweight.
