Does anyone know if Samsung has given any indication as to when there will be an update to allow for ECG now that it has received FDA clearance? Also do we know how close the blood pressure app is to having FDA clearance?
You might wanna have a look at the ECG/BP trick to install these softs. It works very well...
Just ignore that "active 2" and do same on your GW3.

Worked for me...easy install. works great
I thought I saw somewhere that Samsung promised ECG in Q3, which ends Sept 30. I did the install myself and added ECG and BP

That's great. Works fine.
Maybe this answers why delay for US market...

This still doesn't solve the problem because when you open the app up, it still says that an update is required. There is no way to skip it.

Like I said you have to do the intial calibration with your data off so the app can't check for updates. Then once it's setup EKG/BP then you stop the app on your phone then you can turn data back on and only use the watch app for EKG and BP.
just curious, what did you use to calibrate? i just bought one of those cuffs that auto inflate using a tabletop box , rather then the old school Sphygmomanometer and stethoscope.

Installed Jelly Bean this afternoon and so far so good.
However, Light Flow keeps crashing, so I can't use it. I've followed all instructions, restarted, removed and reinstalled but still no luck.
Anyone else having the problem, or know of an alternative?
I only need it for Gmail and Handcent SMS.
It's not Jelly Bean - it looks like the latest update to Gmail caused it.

In that case, hopefully the lightflow guys will be on it pretty quick...

You start google now by holding the home softkey on the display and move your finger up to the magnifier.
Tip: Don't even try it out, let it disabled. Your phone will have ~30% less runtime when it's activated.

New version of Lightflow (3.6.1) in the Play Store that is supposed to fix the problem with Gmail notifications.
Still doesn't show Gmail notifications via the LED on my phone though.
---------- Post added at 08:11 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:51 AM ----------
Quick update - I've been in touch with the developer and he suggested the following, which worked with the latest version (3.6.1) for me:
Go into lightflow->notifications gmail, select the gmail label you want (disable and enable it if already enabled) and see if that works.
1) saproviders keeps force closing.
2) SVoice no longer works/connects from watch to phone.
Cleared "Data" with TIBU for saproviders and solved 1st problem.
Any resolution suggested for Svoice?
Thanks.

I just rebooted the phone and watch and now Svoice is working.
I didn't update yet to the new Gear Manager, although I received the notification that an update is available.
I've read the reviews and saw that some guys had problems, so I decided to wait.
My Gear 1 works perfectly now with Null_23 and I only want to update if the new Gear Manager brings additional features which are worthwhile.
Can someone tell if the new Gear Manager brings new things ?
Another update for Gear Manager is out!!!
I but I cannot check it, because I left my (non working) Gear at home

My Svoice had started working again for no apparent reason since my OP.
Unfortunately now saproviders is going nuts again with a force close every 2 seconds while connected ON phone Galaxy S4. And my clearing data with TIBU trick no longer is working as a solutions.
Tired of these constant Gear Manager updates and messing stuff up.
I got another update today, and it did not fix anything. I'm really pissed!
Notifications are off...
I still didn't update my Gear to the newest version (still on version before the 18th of September).
Can someone tell me what's new in the latest version ?
Is it worth upgrading ?
And I really hate that after each upgrade of Gear Manager, the watch is resetted and I have to install everything (I'm on Null 23).
Does someone know a way to backup all data and restore it ?
Can I use Titanium Backup ?
Absolutely does not update, if it works well. Nothing major has been changed, as there are no announcements. Just ignore it.

In gear manager touch your devices name. Then touch "software update". Now UNcheck the box that says "automatic update".

true , i tried many tricks nothin works , stopping update , replace saproviders or clear cache/data , it works for while then back again as it was.
problem not just no notification or media control , its drain battery so quick
A few days back my watch (Neo) stopped synching with S Health (long after updating the app and Gear Manager) - it just happened out of the blue. No reboots were able to fix this so I thought (yeah, should have known Samsung better) that if I reinstall S Health it might work again. BTW: all other sync activities DO work between the watch and my Note 3.
Lo and behold, after "Uninstalling app updates" I found myself stuck with S Health 2.5 (pre- Gear 2) and definitely NO way to sync as it takes me to a page to "update your Gear Manager to a new version" - which I already have.
Needless to say that S health reports "This is the most recent version" when I try to force an update. The app is NOWHERE to be found on their market. I tried the old "fitness" app (superseded by S Health later) and that doesn't work either for an update.
Last but not least I did try to unpair and pair again...no luck. I didn't factory default the watch as the problem is clearly on the phone side.
I started reading that this synchronization has been reported as broken by many....wonder how many here have the issue (pedometer, sleep, etc)?
Second...can a merciful soul upload S Health 3.5.1 maybe I can sideload it to my phone? Cheers!
/RANT: no wonder Apple is eating Samsung's lunch (even at home in SK) as I have not seen such a clusterf... of apps not working/pulled from market, updates that never arrive, etc. Bad, bad customer experience....100% disappointed with Samsung.
wipe the slate clean...and go on hating Samsung
Sort of fixed it...
Installed the 3.1 S Health version from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2750381&highlight=s+health&page=2
That was NOT synching either...so I thought I need to bite the bullet and wipe clean all the data from the watch and Gear Manager....that DID IT.
Super painful as I had a ton of apps and customizations and my life is better spent having fun rather than fiddling with the phone and watch, but ...that only makes me swear I will ditch Samsung next time around.
Hope this helps someone...someday
/EDIT Ok, that effing didn't last. Not only I lost most of my watch apps (how the [email protected] do I get them back when I cannot uninstall/re-install them ) including Watch Styler.
And the pedometer claims to sync but now it doesn't transfer any data.
[email protected] you Samsung.
Just in case....mind posting a 3.5 S Health if you have it?
Thanks

Well I suppose I have to thank myself. How I got S Health 3.5.5 back:
1. uninstalled Galaxy Apps update (back to ROm original version)
2. uninstalled any S Health updates
3. Allowed Galaxy Apps update
4. In my "Purchased" apps I found now thta S Health shows up and indicates an update is available
5. Forced the update and had to reconfigure my profile (lost all data) despite having a backup.
Hope this helps someone else fighting this horrible app.
Do you still have the synchronizing issue with S-Health? I cannot synchronize since the last update. Nobody seems to have this issue on this forum, but in France I know that a lot of people have this problem.

I had a similar issue after my S5 was upgraded to Lollipop. Turns out, I missed an Gear Manager upgrade along the way. Upgraded to the latest Gear Manager and that seemed to work. since many of the class call use langcode it wouldn't surprise me if missing langcodes could be a fundamental flaw in the S Health app design.

Mine is English too...always was. BUT...that being said, after the steps I listed above, sync seems to be working fine (knock on wood).
Samsung being Samsung, despite NOT having a scheduled sync set up, I do get a midnight notification "Please open the mobile app and set up a user profile" if no manual sync was done that day. Makes ZERO sense, as I do (obviously) have a profile and why on Earth would it tell me to open the "S Health mobile app" on the phone itself...it's not like I have one on the watch too. Semantics...
Hi guys,
Just want to let you know an easiest way to check if your Note7 is safe or it must be replaced through the Note7 Safety Recall program.
Just use the Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app, open the 'Other Tools' menu, and select 'Note7 Recall Check' button to check.
You can check using the device's IMEI or S/N.
Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo
Or just use Samsung+...the built in samsung tech support

Yes, I've tested it few days ago and it works as expected,

Sorry about that. You can try it again. If it happens frequently, I will consider to remove it from the app...

However, if you VPN your phone to the US, you can install it from there. Worked for me this morning. The app works fine once you turn the VPN off too.
